Wollaton House Day Nursery are committed to maintaining the highest standards of childcare and nursery education. Full time or part-time childcare is offered for children between birth and 5 years, Monday to Friday, in a safe, secure and stimulating environment.

The nursery recognizes what an important role they play in a child’s development, so most of all they want children to be happy, confident and to feel secure. All sessions offer a well-planned programme of activities which allow both organised and free play as well as quiet times.

The Wollaton Nursery has a fully qualified infant teacher who coordinates the Foundation Stage learning programme for children aged 3-5 years. Carefully structured educational play ensures the children enjoy a stimulating time at the nursery. They guide and encourage your child’s development in the key areas of reading, writing, numbers and sounds. The aim is to help pre-school children to discover and begin to develop their basic academic core skills.

My son has been attending Wollaton House Day Nursery for the last three years. Overall, I feel that this is an outstanding nursery with experienced management and staff that are motivated, loyal, caring and professional, placing the children’s well-being and development at the heart of everything they
do. The nursery itself is bright, clean, tidy and safe and provides a great learning environment for the children. Since joining the nursery, my son has developed in so many ways. He is more confident, independent and balanced and looks forward to going to nursery every day. Our experience of Wollaton House Day Nursery has been fantastic and we would definitely recommend it to others.

We were looking for a place at a nursery at very short notice in May. We knew that some of our NCT friends were taking their two sons there and they were very happy. Therefore, we were very pleased to hear that they had a place for our 2 year old son. From the very first day when I went to have a look
around, it was a very warm and welcoming environment. The staff were very approachable, smiling and explained everything in detail. The staff is very understanding both with the kids and the parents; especially the first couple of weeks. My son's first language is not English, so we were very impressed when we were asked by the staff on how to pronounce a few words in my son's first language. They have also helped a lot him with his English! Wollaton House is a small nursery and has a real family feel and all the staff know all the children. My boy loves going to the nursery, even on the weekends and during summer holidays.

I have two very happy girls that attend Wollaton House Day Nursery and that is down to the most kind, caring and thoughtful staff. Wollaton House has a warm, family-friendly approach to their care and recognises the importance of individualised care. My oldest daughter has multiple food allergies which
was my main concern when she started nursery but since she has joined that concern has disappeared-the management and staff have given me the reassurance to trust in their exceptional care.
Management staff have been supportive and flexible in providing extra care and support and advice when needed.
I cannot thank the management and staff enough for everything they do to make my girls flourish.

Our daughter has attended Wollaton House Day Nursery for the last year, since the age of 1. We are so pleased that we chose this nursery for her, she is happy and settled there and the staff are all lovely, friendly and caring. The nursery has a real family feel and all the staff know all the children.
My little girl loves going to nursery and is developing and learning while she is there. They are also great at supporting me as a first time Mum and are happy to give me help and advice which is really appreciated. We feel so lucky that we've found such a great place for her.

Exceptional children’s nursery, where the staff are lovely and caring. The nursery has a homely feel to it with lots of play and educational activities for the children and a large outdoor play area. Also really liked the fact that they have a fully qualified teacher preparing the children for primary

My husband and I enrolled our 10mth old daughter at Wollaton House after 2 visits, one out of hours and one with the children present. We had already made up our minds after the first visit - Wollaton House is like a home away from home and immediately felt right! My husband also commented that he could
easily see why it would be a fun and stimulating environment, giving us a baby's eye view to see all the things Wollaton House could offer our daughter. It is clean and bright but also cosy and reassuring with lots of different activities and toys for children to play with. The carers have always been smiling and warm, and the manager has been really accommodating with a pair of first-time parents who naturally want to make sure we are sending our child to the right place. We have no regrets and all indicators suggest our daughter loves it there and is extremely well looked after. We particularly loved that children are always the priority here and their safety and security are paramount.

From our first visit, I felt that Wollaton House Day Nursery would be the best setting for our daughter and she does indeed enjoy each day. The nursery is of an ideal scale, homely but also with excellent facilities inside and out. The range of activities on offer is vast and the nursery walls are bursting
with the children’s latest drawings/crafts and achievements. Importantly, all the staff are extremely welcoming, caring and knowledgeable. They take a genuine interest in each child and tailor their care and learning objectives accordingly. I would recommend this nursery to friends.

Wollaton House Day Nursery (WHDN) for myself and my son was like a second home. After visiting many nurseries, I knew immediately that WH was for us. The environment was clean, the staff were relaxed and friendly and it had an overall feeling of homeliness.
My son attended from 9 mths - 5 yrs and
I was extremely happy with both the care and education that he received. Rooms were filled with stimulating toys which allowed the children to learn through a variety of play activities, as well as a more structured education as he grew.
I was informed of my son’s daily activities, diet, rest times and any additional information. I built up a good rapport with the staff, who were always available to answer any questions that I had. Staff worked hard to ease any transition throughout the years at WH.
My son enjoyed going to nursery every day and formed great relationships and strong bonds with his key workers.
I was completely happy with the ‘family feel’ at WH and I wouldn’t consider any other nursery for my children.

Wollaton House Day Nursery is a brilliant nursery. The staff are very friendly and it’s very clear as soon as you walk through the door that all of the children’s best interests are the key to each and every staff members priorities. The manager is very helpful and friendly which makes it easier when
dropping off my nephew. They have a wide variety of freshly cooked food choices and cater for all dietary requirements. The new extension looks brilliant, creating more open space for the children whilst giving them space for outside play. I know that the parents are kept well informed daily and through frequent parent evenings. I would not hesitate to recommend sending any child to this nursery - brilliant care and service all round.

We found looking for a nursery very daunting and didn’t really like any, until we found Wollaton House Day Nursery and instantly felt relieved and wanted our son to go there. It’s got a homely setting and the staff are absolute superstars, providing outstanding and genuine care for every child. The
manager is brilliant, very approachable, runs the nursery to the best standard and ensures we are fully informed.


There is a great mix of play and learning, but most importantly it’s always done in a fun and engaging setting for the children. We have 2 boys and it’s clear to see the staff adapt their approach and engage with each individual child to meet their needs and likes.


Our sons are very happy at the nursery and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Our eldest starts school this year and he is fully prepared for the transition. Nursery have ensured all the children are ready, giving them the best possible start.

Both my son and daughter have been full time at Wollaton House Day Nursery and I cannot recommend the nursery highly enough. The staff are great, they are really caring and genuinely love the children in their care. They are very experienced and I trust them completely. The education provided is excellent

A fantastic nursery overall - wonderful homely setting with outside garden space, friendly staff, great mix of structured and free play, fantastic craft facilities, very helpful and approachable manager. Our child has always loved attending the nursery and has grown in confidence and ability - which
we believe to be the greatest measure of success. A recent extension has improved the facilities (additional room and much needed additional toilets downstairs). The menu is great with healthy meal choices etc although I’d like to see some more “adventurous” meals offered occasionally to help my child broaden his experiences with food. Overall excellent and would highly recommend.

I am a first-time mum and leaving my child with anyone was scary. The staff were fantastic, from the first meeting and look round until now, I couldn't have been put more at ease. My child went in at six months so we have had contact from all of the rooms and staff. Everyone knows all the children and
are supportive of their development. My child loves going to nursery and enjoys all of his activities. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

My eldest son has been at Wollaton House Day Nursery for the last three years, and I would thoroughly recommend this nursery. It is very efficiently run by the manager, who keeps on top of everything and keeps parents very well informed. The staff are all friendly and enthusiastic, and really engage
with and care for the children. Recently my son has really benefited from weekly sessions with a pre-school teacher, starting on his learning journey, but in an informal, fun setting. My youngest son is in the baby room and has settled in really quickly with the help of the lovely, friendly staff. The standards at the nursery are great, but they are always looking for ways to improve and take into account feedback from parents. The nursery has really helped with my children’s development, but most importantly they are well cared for and comfortable at nursery.
