Little Houghton Day Nursery

My child absolutely loves the nursery and staff. He is always so happy to see them and they are always so happy to see him. It can be scary leaving your child with people outside of direct family for the but so reassuring when they are clearly so happy when they see each other .

All the staff work tirelessly to give all the children under their care the best possible start in life and all the love and dedication. My children certainly have thrived and are thriving, and it's all down to their early years experience which this nursery does extremely well. My son who started in September was my one child who struggled the most and I was so close to pulling him out as I didn't think he'd ever settle, but the manager and staff spent a lot of time reassuring me and telling me he would, some children just take that bit longer to settle in. All staff there are absolutely fantastic! Trust them implicitly! Just love them all!

My daughter has been at the nursery for nearly 4 months now. She has settled in very well. As with most children starting nursery this was a new experience for her with a few nervy tears. The staff in the baby room have made the experience as easy and relaxed as possible. They answer the door with a warm welcoming smile which puts you at ease. They greet my daughter like one of their own and wrap her up in lots of cuddles. Each day they do lots of different activities which are posted on the app. The staff make time on drop off and pick up to see how things are and give feedback on the day which I very much appreciate. Thank you to all the lovely ladies in the baby room.

My daughter comes out really happy each day, she's well looked after and happy and I couldn't ask for more.

My son loves it. He's made friends too. I have complete peace of mind, knowing he's in good hands.

We could not be happier with the nursery. All the staff work incredibly hard to make this setting a fun, safe, caring & highly engaging place for our child. We're always greeted with a welcoming & cheerful smile and our child is always very happy to be dropped off, knowing she will have an exciting day ahead. We are kept up to speed with activities during the day via the app and all additional communication, if required (illness, bumps, etc), is friendly & polite. The nursery is very well managed & is brilliant at integrating structured learning activities & varied experiences (e.g outdoor play/walks) into the daily routine. All staff in the room are clearly dedicated professionals, who make very strong genuine connections with the kids. The nursery is always willing to accommodate our needs, such as shortened nap times or specific dietary requirements. Our child has thrived here - we are incredibly thankful to the nursery and all the staff. You're all superstars!

My daughter absolutely loves going to nursery she has come on so much since starting last year the staff are friendly my daughter goes in smiling and excited and comes out just as happy she loves her key worker she is always saying the staff members names when she comes home.

Little Houghton is a great nursery! The staff are kind, and caring and work really hard and are always happy to receive calls, give extra feedback, and personalise care (such as around nap times). My children really enjoy doing creative activities and look forward to going to nursery.

All the staff are amazing. They look after my child very well and address any issues instantly. He is always looking forward to attending the nursery. He is full of smiles when we drop and pick up. They give detailed feedback about what my child has done for the day which includes how well he has eaten, so that we can prepare better for the evening.

After staff continued to support and settle my now 2-and-a-half-year-old into their beautiful little nursery back in September 2023, they have now also committed to doing the same for my 10-month-old. They have made me feel 1000 times more comfortable with leaving him and going back to work than I could ever have hoped to feel. They are very informative on collection, and all appear to be very caring.

Great nursery with lovely staff. My daughter is very happy to go nursery. She has been going there since April 2023. She is learning lots at nursery. Since starting nursery we have noticed her communication skills have improved and she is picking up new words everyday. We feel a warm welcome and are always informed well. We are very happy with everything at Little Houghton Day Nursery.

I only wish they had more of an outside area with gardening parts as my little boy would love this but it isn't their fault due to space of the building.

Our little boy loves going to nursery at Little Houghton, all the staff are so welcoming and friendly. Supporting our little boy in all elements of his development, we can't thank the team in the pre school room enough. Would recommend anyone to send their child here.

My son has been at Little Houghton Day Nursery for over a year now, and after some bad experiences from other local nurseries, this was like a breath of fresh air, the staff are so caring and attentive, no question is too big or too silly and the communication with the nursery is brilliant. My son has gone from strength to strength here and have never had any doubts or concerns leaving him there during the day. Couldn’t recommend the nursery or the staff more!

An excellent nursery with staff that are attentive, caring and considerate. Our little one loves her sessions and her growth in confidence and learning has been amazing to see since she started with the team.

My baby is happy to go to and is engaged in all activities. Developing his language and social interaction. When he comes home he is ready for a nap as all his commitments for the day has been addressed.

Great nursery, staff are really caring and helpful, my daughter loves going. Outdoor space is a shame as small but I know they take them to the park regularly. Great at accommodating extra sessions last minute.
