Little Houghton Day Nursery

My little girl started at Little Houghton in January this year. The nursery has been amazing. My little girl doesn't settle in new places or with new people easily and she is so happy here. The staff have made settling so easy and have made my return to work a much happier one than I could have anticipated. Their communication is excellent and gives me a really good insight to her day! Would happily recommend to others, in fact, have done so already.

My son thoroughly enjoys attending nursery, he looks forward to seeing his friends and playing superheroes. Staff can not do enough to help, they are always on hand for any queries or questions we have.

The quality of activities and environment is inviting and stimulating. Although the outside space is restricted, they make fantastic use of it and the babies have their own safe area.

My daughter loves coming to nursery, the staff are incredibly attentive and caring but also willing to push the children to help them reach their potential. The food is great - very fresh and varied and the children even get to help make things sometimes!

I would definitely recommend the nursery to anybody looking to find a trusting and loving home from home.

Both my children attend this nursery and they both absolutely love it! They are looked after by caring professional staff who go the extra mile. The food is fantastic and I know they will have had a great day when I pick them up. Can't recommend enough.

I knew from the first moment I walked into the nursery that it was perfect for my son. He and I had a connection with the staff which meant that communication between us is excellent. My son's development has come on leaps and bounds and any concerns over this that I have, I can relay to the staff and they will take extra time with my son to help develop him further. Incorporating learning through play is vital and this nursery certainly does that, it seems like they have too much fun sometimes! My son was a fussy eater when he first started nursery, he isn't anymore and even has a wider variety of foods at nursery than he does at home which is great. I love the personal touch they provide and even getting your child to make gifts for you which is always a nice surprise.

We are really pleased with the progress our child has made whilst at Little Houghton nursery. She is very sociable, plays well with other children and is always happy to attend nursery. All the staff have been brilliant with her. We feel she is truly ready for big school.

My young son has today left the nursery to progress to school today, I am so pleased my instincts we were right about this place, although he only attends part time all the staff understand that all children are individual. My boy has a large personality, they have helped channel the best out of him, all working together he has flourished, and progressed amazingly, support for me through family bereavement was above and beyond, outstanding.

Great nursery, very pleased with the attention both children get and their development has come on leaps and bounds since attending Little Houghton day nursery. Really great selection of nutritious food for the children and lots of activities for all the children to do

Our daughter really loves this nursery. The staff are all really friendly and helpful and our daughter feels very comfortable with them. The learning is great and she's always telling us about her day.

My daughter has been at little Houghton since she was just under a year. After taking some time to settle of which I was fully supported by the nursery she has grown and developed through so many of the wonderful friendships she has made with both her teachers and friends. The nursery has ensured she is confident to talk to others and in herself, alongside some very good manners. Leaving to go to school this year I hope she will form the bonds she has made with the teachers and her friends as she has over the last 4 years. I would highly recommend this nursery as she has been so happy here and had so many wonderful experiences

She comes home telling us all about her fun and adventures, she has definitely developed massively as a result of her time here.

I love Little Houghton as does my daughter who has been attending since she was 8 months old. The staff made me very relaxed as I was very uneasy about leaving my baby for the first time. She is now 17 months and has come on leaps and bounds. She's a very confident child and I believe that's down to the staff. They are brilliant with her. I love hearing all the stories about my daughter when I pick her up and really value the daily report sheet. The varied activities are brilliant and the food is enviable - My daughter has always eaten every spoonful! This fantastic nursery and caring staff have made my daughter's time here a dream. Thank you!

My son has been here a year and completely flourished. They get individualised care to their own routine; Activities are educationally-based but fun. Children encouraged to make friends in all age groups. Menu is delicious, varied and nutritious including food the children cook themselves - he never comes home hungry! They make the best out of the limited outdoor space but regularly explore the village to socialise safely in the 'real world'. Well done team, keep up the outstanding work!
