Children 1st Grantham Nursery School is situated close to the town centre, with easy access to local bus routes and the train station. The nursery is rated as 'Good' by Ofsted (May 2022).

The environment has been refurbished throughout with bright, open areas for babies, toddlers, early years and out-of-school children aged up to 12-years-old.

Friendly, experienced and well-qualified staff are available to give children and parents the support they need.

Staff to children ratios are even better than Ofsted recommend and the nursery offers funded places for eligible children 2, 3 and 4-year-olds.

I cannot praise this nursery enough. In the six months my daughter has been there, she now socialises so much easier, her progress has come along so much, she's always singing from numbers to colours to nursery rhymes, she absolutely loves going to nursery and settled in so well.

My little boy has been attending the nursery since he was 3 months old. He absolutely loves going to nursery every day. He is the most outgoing, social, friendly little boy and he learns so much from nursery - he seems really advanced for his age. The nursery is really accommodating when we have extra
sessions or need to swap things around. It has been a real lifesaver for us as we have no family anywhere local to us to help with childcare.

Safe and clean premises. Welcoming and friendly with outside play space as well.

The best nursery. The ladies are wonderful and caring. As a mother, I was very afraid that the ladies would not calm her down when she cried, but it's wonderful, my daughter is content and happy every day.

They are kind and lovely and they always say morning and afternoon when I take my son in the morning and when I pick him up in afternoon. They always tell me how my son gets on and are friendly as well.

I cannot thank this establishment enough for being a friendly, loving environment for my little girl to thrive in. I have had two children attend this nursery and wouldn’t recommend anywhere else. All of the team are friendly and approachable, they make me leaving my daughter an easy transition, to
go to work knowing she’s safe and happy. They are very supportive and nothing is ever too much for them to make changes for work situations that pop up from time to time. My daughter is in her final few months before she transitions to school, this will be very emotional goodbye to Children 1st for my last child attending here. The girls are always happy and give detailed handover on pick up, they provide second to none care for all that attend. Thank you girls, your work is hugely appreciated!

I have 2 children in this nursery, both have attended from the ages of 1.
I have experienced all age-related rooms this nursery has to offer from the baby room to the early years and everyone is fantastic.
From our first visit to Children 1st, all of the staff have made me and my children feel welcome
every day. The staff are certainly what makes this nursery stand out but the facilities here are just as good.
My children have opportunities every day to explore many different stimulating activities and create friendships. I have no doubt that Children’s 1st at Grantham and its staff have created strong foundations for my children’s future. Would recommend this nursery 10/10.

My son had changed nursery since being very unsettled at his previous setting. He started Children’s 1st and my child now begs to go to nursery daily.
I’ve seen such a difference in him already, he’s learnt so much in a short time, he has become much more independent, his social and communication
skills have improved massively and our overall experience with the nursery has been phenomenal.

The nursery is fantastic and the team looking after the kids are truly terrific. Both my kids have attended the nursery. Both have been thriving and enjoying their time at Children First. The manager has so much patience and is always accommodating where she can. I cannot recommend the nursery enough.

My daughter has been attending this nursery for just over 5 months now and I could not be happier with this nursery and its staff. She has settled in wonderfully and watching her run into the room every day with a huge smile is great to see. She really does enjoy her time there. The staff are all so
friendly and look after the children so well. They always give me a detailed rundown of the day, (nap times, food, activities, mood, etc). All areas of the nursery are well kept and clean. The invoices are always sent in good time and any extra sessions/changes I've requested have been accommodated (when possible) in a timely and friendly manner.

Children 1st Grantham has been amazing for our family. The staff are so attentive to each child’s needs and requirements and nothing is ever too much trouble! Our little boy loves attending nursery and has developed so much. All meals are freshly prepared and even when we had a trial for an intolerance,
the nursery supported us and our son. I wouldn’t want my little one to go anywhere else!

Today the nursery held a nativity and it was utterly brilliant! The encouragement shown to the children and the time and effort that has been put into it was fantastic. My little one is quite shy but she came into her own and it was magical to watch. Great staff, great atmosphere and the best nursery

My son has had a wonderful experience at Children First at Grantham. The staff have been exceptional in there support of my son over his time here. Due to their diligence I feel my son has strong foundations to move onto the next stage of his education. The staff have also provided help to me personally

Fantastic nursery and amazing staff can't fault them. My son has come out of his shell so much since being there, definitely the best nursery in town.

Hello, I'm Paula Bunn, Manager at Children 1st @ Grantham.
I have over 20 years childcare experience in different settings and roles. I have the level 3 NNEB qualification, an NVQ in Team Leading and an NVQ in Management.
I started working at the Grantham nursery 3 years ago as a Senior Nursery Nurse in the under 2s unit and was promoted to Deputy Manager overseeing the under 3s unit in January 2014, also supporting our EYT and Manager with the day to day running of the Early Years unit and Nursery as a whole.
I am really enjoying my new role as manager at our Outstanding nursery.
I am extremely passionate about the nursery I work in as I was born nearby and get tremendous job satisfaction seeing the wonderful children we look after learn and develop in a happy, safe and stimulating environment. I am also very proud to work for Children 1st, working with the staff at every level to be `The Best`.
