This is the best place I found for my daughter. We have viewed over six different in town and around. I even made the decision to keep her until Year1 and not to send to the reception. Our youngest will also start this nursery soon.
First impression - amazing staff members, well organised for shoes
and jackets, clean, spacious, colourful, open space.
I can tell that our daughter is happy to attend, feels safe and entertained. Whenever she gets upset, teachers look after her and sing with her because then she feels happy again.
I have advised this place to all my friends that have children.

Staff at the nursery are always pleasant and have made the nursery experience for my little boy really good. He really enjoys spending time at nursery, and the staff always keep me updated on how he has been.

Having recently moved to the area, I was very apprehensive about putting my youngest in the nursery. My older three children attended a nursery owned by my father, so I always knew that my children would be well taken care of. This was the first time I was trusting strangers to care for one of my children.
I have nothing but praise for St Georges and all the staff who work there. Communication has been amazing! My daughter loves going to the nursery, which is very reassuring. We are currently in the throes of potty training, and the nursery has been incredibly supportive, which is greatly appreciated.
As a student nurse, it is so nice having one less thing to worry about during the current climate. My daughter is in a safe, supportive environment and is flourishing. If you are looking for a nursery that encourages your child to grow in a safe space, who nurtures and supports your child, then St Georges Day Nursery is the nursery you are looking for.

My daughter has been attending nursery for almost a year now, and she loves it. The staff really take the time to get to know each child and spend time with them. She always has a great day doing different activities too. Staff are friendly and helpful. I feel confident leaving my daughter at nursery

Fantastic nursery with amazing staff. My daughter loves to go there every day, and she comes home happy. She learned so much since she started. They keep you updated every day about your child. My 2-year-old son has attended the nursery since he was 9-moths-old and has loved every minute. He has thrived during his time with the nursery, always happy to go and smiling when collected. He talks about his day, the staff and his friends with fondness. The staff are always warm and welcoming.
My
11-month-old daughter has recently started attending the nursery. Despite not being used to anyone else caring for her (due to lockdown), she has settled in amazingly well. The staff have been brilliant in helping to relieve my anxieties about her starting and fantastic in helping her settle quickly into the nursery.

Our girls love coming to nursery. My youngest started in September, she is learning to cope being away from us and has made a lovely bond with the staff, so she feels safe at nursery. The nursery does cater to girls allergies if we forget to send pack lunch.
Both the girls have learnt so much being
at nursery and have made a lot of friends.
During covid, they have been excellent from start to finish.
I've recommended this nursery to my friends who are thinking of sending their kids to the nursery.

My two children have been going to St George's Nursery for around a year, and they both love it. They attend nursery four and five days a week, they are great with both one in the babies room 1-year-old, and she is in such a great routine and eats everything, which is helpful as a busy parent for when
home. My 3-year-old is in the preschool room and is currently toilet training, which they are consistent with, they also encourage his pack lunch as he can be a fussy eater. They enjoy nursery, and I would strongly recommend St George's.

I’m so impressed with the staff at St George’s nursery. Since my little one started, I’ve seen a significant improvement with his confidence and speaking ability.


The staff take the time to discuss the kids day at pickup, which helps with development discussions.

Fantastic nursery. The manager and her team are really friendly, and my son loves going to the nursery. He has settled in quickly and come on leaps and bounds in the short time he has been attending. So pleased with our decision to send our two children to St George's. They are absolutely thriving in the two months they've been attending. I've noticed a massive positive impact on their behaviour at home and they engage in games and activities in ways they didn't before they started. They absolutely
love it and we have felt so at ease sending them in. Excellent communication to parents, I can keep up to date with what the kids are doing throughout the day and how much they've eaten etc and get a little day summary when I pick them up. All the staff are absolutely lovely and I would 100% recommend the nursery to anyone in the area.

Myself and my child absolutely love this nursery! All the ladies are lovely.
My son settled in so well even though he’s very shy. It got to a point where he didn’t want to come home because he was having so much fun. They are very thorough with their report at the end of the day in regards to telling
us what my son had been up to, what he’d ate or not ate. My son is a very fussy eater so they would make him something different just so that he would have something to eat.
They are brilliant and friendly and I shall be sending my daughter there next.

A good nursery with well-run activities for the children. My son has just started this nursery and he is growing in confidence every day he loves the breakfast care, carpet time, singing songs and learning different nursery rhymes throughout the morning. On a Monday he has been doing sports.
I am
really looking forward to seeing how he develops more independently during his time at the nursery over the next couple of years and seeing him build-up for full-time school when he leaves (which will be a very sad day). This is the best place to begin for his first pre-school journey.

Myself and my husband love St George’s Nursery. Both of my sons attend and I couldn’t wish for better care, devotion and creativity. St George’s provide an engaging and active day; addressing milestones and making learning fun. They make sure that both of my sons are happy and settled. Staff take the
time to get to know my sons and it is clear they enjoy being there. Every staff member knows my children’s names; from manager to all nursery nurses which says a lot about their welcoming and homely environment. Couldn’t recommend more! We love St George’s, as do our boys.

The overall experience has been good. My child has been involved in several activities which have contributed to developing his learning skills.
The staff are very friendly and enthusiastic.
I found the parent app link very interesting, however, I have noticed that some information is related to morning
activities and my child only does the afternoon session.
I think the information in the app could be more personal comments about how the child actually performed.

Job Title: Nursery Business Manager Joined: 2024

Working with children is all I have ever known and done since leaving school at 16. I love to see the children progress throughout their time at nursery, and experience all of the milestones with them and their families.


I started working in childcare in 2012 and have worked my way up from an apprentice role, which has allowed me to experience.


I chose St. George’s because I feel like my passion and beliefs align with what theirs, and I always know that if I would be happy to leave my child in the setting I am at that I am working in the right place and that’s the way I feel about St. George’s.
