Busy Bees Leicester Thurmaston opened in 2006.

It is a bright, friendly and welcoming nursery with a dedicated staff team to give your children the best start in life.

The Bumbo Room (0-2) are based in their own secure unit with a separate milk kitchen. The babies participate in lots of sensory activities and have access to an age-appropriate garden.

The Bumble Room (2-3 years) has a spacious room with access to a covered outdoor canopied toddler area to support free flow in all weathers. Staff aid children with independence such as potty/toilet training and preparing them for their transition to the Pre-school room.

The Buzz Room (3-5 years) has access to a large and spacious room with access to another room for small group focus activities. The staff aid the children with independence and support "school readiness" teaching them the skills they need to be confident in their transition to school.

Each room focuses on the children's interests and activities are based around this which is evident in their implementation books. Environments are inviting and appealing for the children to approach freely.

The nursery celebrates all different festivals, birthdays and children's achievements!

They have a strong partnership with parents, keeping them informed of their child's development through parents meetings and general conversations.

There are many learning opportunities, exploration and adventure for babies, toddlers and pre-school children. Each room is a hub of activity, allowing children to be busy developing and learning new skills throughout their day.

There is a beautiful age-appropriate newly refurbished garden with various resources and activities for the children to access and participate in. They also have "Get Active With Buzz" as physical development is very important for children.

Busy Bee Nursery offers a nurturing and stimulating environment that is ideal for young children. From the moment you step through the doors, the staff are dedicated to providing high-quality care and education. The facilities are bright, clean, and filled with an array of engaging toys and learning
materials.
The staff at Busy Bee are warm, professional, and clearly passionate about their roles. They take the time to get to know each child individually, tailoring activities to meet their developmental needs and interests. This personalised approach ensures that every child feels valued and supported.
One of the standout features of the nursery is its outdoor play area. The garden is equipped with various play structures, offering children plenty of opportunities for physical activity.

My daughter currently attends Wednesdays and Thursdays all day in the Buzz preschool room. The staff have helped me transition my daughter from pulls to pants with ease. My daughter comes home from nursery and tells me all sorts of things she's done throughout the day. She enjoys it and cannot wait
for the next time she goes back. The nursery as a whole is fantastic. Throughout the whole process from her starting in September 2022 till present I haven't a bad word to say about the nursery and often recommend to family and friends.

Our daughter was already settled at another nursery, but one conversation with the Centre Director was enough to convince us this was the right place and that moving her to Busy Bees was the best decision. My daughter has just moved up to the next class and the transfer to the next room is good. The
staff is very friendly and the learning activities they do is just brilliant. I would definitely recommend this nursery 100%.

Busy Bees Leicester Thurmaston had been exceptional for our daughter, which is why we didn't think twice when choosing a nursery for our son. The staff are so friendly and attentive, where they adapt to meet the child's needs. The settling-in sessions were unique and based on how my son was getting
on where, nothing was too much trouble which really helped ease our minds and allowed our son to get used to the surroundings and people taking as much time as he needed.
Within the first two weeks of attending full days, my son has gone from being fed to taking the spoon out of my hand and wanting to feed himself which I can only thank the nursery for. The staff encourage the children to be confident and independent and ensures activities are stimulating, educational and innovative.
We are kept up to date regarding developmental milestones and detailed explanations of activities which keep us, as parents, involved. Thank you to all the staff at Busy Bees Leicester Thurmaston, you're all amazing!

truly nurturing environment whilst ensuring the fundamentals are not overlooked. These values and standards are shared by all staff who take utmost pride in making sure our little ones thrive through fostering a genuine connection where not only educational but their emotional needs are fully considered
The facilities are very clean and spacious, the staff very resourceful, and the effort put into creating a wide variety of fun learning activities is remarkable. Our key workers constantly keep us updated on our child's development and share best practices to ensure continuity at home. I cannot recommend this place enough, they are consistently exceptional both operationally and administratively

My daughter has been attending this nursery since June 2022 when she was 10 months old and I have seen her progress so well under the care of the fantastic staff who work there. I love getting the updates on the app regarding what she has been up to throughout the day as well as the photos, which really
do brighten up my day. I am also given an account of her day when I pick her up, and she is happy and content at this nursery.


It has been lovely to see my little one go from sitting to crawling to walking, they are as thrilled as I am at how well she is developing – and her speech is excellent also.


I would highly recommend this nursery and will be sad to be leaving it soon as we are moving out of the area, but cannot speak anymore highly of the facilities and staff as they are just amazing. Always on hand to help and answer questions, etc – we have had the best experience here.

Our son joined the nursery in 2021 and after all this time I'm confident in saying we couldn't have chosen a better place for him to start his journey. The nursery is welcoming and clean and the staff is always warm and friendly, caring and very attentive with the children. Our son is always happy and
loves the nursery and the staff. They engage the children in different activities creating an exciting environment where they can explore learn and interact. Since our son joined he has become a very confident and independent young boy with an excellent vocabulary and not a day goes by without being amazed by his development and progression.
A big thank you to all the people involved in his education and I would definitely recommend this nursery.

Such a wonderful nursery. The staff are friendly, approachable and very attentive to the children. The building is always clean and there are so many fun activities for the children to engage in. They change the theme regularly so there is always something new for the children to explore. We have noticed
a huge leap in our youngest little girl's development since starting here. Staff are brilliant at giving children individual attention as well as ensuring they engage in group activities. Our girls have always skipped into nursery and left very happy, we couldn’t recommend a better nursery.

My son has been here since he was 1 year old and has been through all three different rooms as he has grown up. This nursery has helped shape him into the character he is and built his confidence. All of the staff here have been amazing and all actually care for each child, which I think is hard to
