Busy Bees Leicester Thurmaston opened in 2006.

It is a bright, friendly and welcoming nursery with a dedicated staff team to give your children the best start in life.

The Bumbo Room (0-2) are based in their own secure unit with a separate milk kitchen. The babies participate in lots of sensory activities and have access to an age-appropriate garden.

The Bumble Room (2-3 years) has a spacious room with access to a covered outdoor canopied toddler area to support free flow in all weathers. Staff aid children with independence such as potty/toilet training and preparing them for their transition to the Pre-school room.

The Buzz Room (3-5 years) has access to a large and spacious room with access to another room for small group focus activities. The staff aid the children with independence and support "school readiness" teaching them the skills they need to be confident in their transition to school.

Each room focuses on the children's interests and activities are based around this which is evident in their implementation books. Environments are inviting and appealing for the children to approach freely.

The nursery celebrates all different festivals, birthdays and children's achievements!

They have a strong partnership with parents, keeping them informed of their child's development through parents meetings and general conversations.

There are many learning opportunities, exploration and adventure for babies, toddlers and pre-school children. Each room is a hub of activity, allowing children to be busy developing and learning new skills throughout their day.

There is a beautiful age-appropriate newly refurbished garden with various resources and activities for the children to access and participate in. They also have "Get Active With Buzz" as physical development is very important for children.

Busy Bees is a great nursery and has supported my children to grow and develop over the last couple of years. They have been great in supporting potty training, discipline and overall learning, especially in areas such as sharing/showing kindness/manners etc.
The nursery have great routines/structure
which is of great benefit at home too.
The staff are the heart of the Nursery and all do a fabulous job, two staff members especially.

My son is currently in the preschool room but has attended this nursery since he was 11 months old and in the baby room. He loves his nursery days and has such a good bond and relationship with his key worker. He will always talk about the room manager and how she has taught him this or he can't wait
to tell her about something he has done outside of nursery. It's clear the workers are passionate about the children and I can't praise the updates we get at the end of the day or via the app. It really does make you feel like you really know what your child is doing and developing!

My daughter loves all the activities at nursery and the friends she has made too, this is all down to the amazing staff that care for and nurture her throughout the day. She comes back home with lots of stories and things to tell us about nursery which is great! Her development has also increased loads
since being there.

Our Daughter has been attending Busy Bees for over n year. We have noticed a huge development, she enjoys attending nursery and interacting with other children and staff. The staff are very friendly and approachable. If there are any concerns, they will contact both parents. The premises are very clean,

Outstanding nursery! My son is in preschool and I have loved him being in there since day one. In the morning we are greeted with smiles and my son is always happy to say goodbye and go in. The ladies in pre-school are amazing, they are great at keeping us updated on the app with activities, meals and
information that needs to come home. I especially want to point out a member of staff who is my son's keyworker, my son comes home every day and loves telling me all the things she and the other staff have set up and taught them that day. Since joining, my son is now able to recognise his name, a few letters and say them phonetically, he is starting to write a few letters too. He wouldn't have been able to do this without the amazing support from the team. They offer trips to the library, computer museum, the theatre and walks in the area along with many more. I can't think of a better nursery to send my child to!

Friendly, nice, warm and caring staff, especially in the Bombo's room where we have primary contact.
Daily online and at pick-up feedback on our child's activities. I always notice the children in the different sections at the nursery appear boisterous and happy. So, the staff must be doing a wonderful
job.

Our daughter has got on very well in the baby room and we can see the work the team put in at the nursery in our daughter's development.
All the staff are great and work tirelessly and you can see the care they have for the children. They all put great effort into children's health, safety and development.

My daughter has been attending Busy Bees for nearly 2 years now and the nursery has massively helped her in all areas of development. She absolutely loves going to nursery and all the staff are very friendly and professional. We have noticed a huge leap in her progression especially moving into the
preschool room and she likes to share all the new things that she does during the day. My child's key worker is brilliant and very attentive. I've noticed a few changes that the preschool room does to get the children ready for primary school which is great. Thank you Busy Bee for all the hard work, support, care and patience that you give, I would highly recommend this nursery!

Made us feel very welcome from day one. From the taster sessions to actually starting, the staff have been excellent in settling my child in; as well for myself they have been very reassuring and made me feel comfortable as my child always comes home smiling and happy!

We as parents are really happy with our child’s development at Busy Bees Thurmaston. The manager of the nursery is always available to chat with and always asks how we are doing and also always wants feedback. The staff are always approachable and kind. Our child loves going to nursery and we can see
how much she has developed. The nursery is always clean and the kitchen is spotless. Yes, the building is dated but I guess nothing we can do about that.

My daughter started nursery in September. I am very happy with my decision for this school, I had heard about it that it is very clean, everyone is very kind, and now that my daughter is going, I see my daughter has learned a lot in recent months. I'm very happy, she tells me a lot when she comes home.
I recommend this nursery, if anyone asks me for a good nursery, I tell them Busy Bees. Thanks a lot.

My son has been in the baby room and toddler room he’s been there since he was 9 months old he’s almost 2 and a half now. He gets on well with all the staff and I do as well. Can’t fault the nursery I know he’s safe he’s having fun and he’s learning now.

Staff really care about the children and adapt to their needs. Lots of different activities - both inside and outside. Encourage toilet training. Lots of pictures and messages posted daily to see what the children are doing.

The team is really wonderful to be associated with. Our son looks forward to attending each day - having breakfast with his key worker is his favourite thing.
Updates are consistent, pictures to show what happens each day are frequent and regular!

So happy with Busy Bees Thurmaston. I have seen exceptional results in my daughter's development, Four members of staff in particular are a few that have contributed to my daughter's learning journey she comes home talking about them! They are all shining stars I'm so pleased with this nursery my daughter
was at a nursery previously where she developed social anxiety as she wasn't treated the way she should have been, she would scream and cry just getting out of the house however she now wishes and asks to go to nursery every day! The centre director is very accommodating and responds to emails or calls professionally and quickly. One particular member of staff deserves an award for her kind nature my daughter comes home calling her her best friend. My daughter is able to express herself, she does everything she loves and the key workers are quick to pick these activities up and feed back information to us along with pictures throughout the day and updates on what she has eaten.

My daughter benefits so much from going to this nursery, her speech is coming along amazingly, she loves coming home every evening and telling us about all her friends and what they have been up to. When she was in the baby room we didn’t get as many photos uploaded as I would have liked but since being
in the toddler room we see plenty. It makes a huge difference to my day and wondering how she is getting on when you get to see it on a photo. She eats very basic food at home and is fussy, so it’s great seeing her try such a variety of foods at nursery. I think it helps her to share with her younger sister as she has to share with friends at nursery. I love seeing that they go outside every day as it’s my daughter’s favourite thing to do and so important in my opinion. I am extremely happy with the key worker she has been assigned as her experience and understanding really shines through. It’s been a battle to reduce her naps and communication to help this has been perfect!

Busy Bees Thurmaston provides a great homely setting, with lots of activities, adventures, games, outside time in the garden. We love the daily updates, giving a snapshot of how much fun our child is having. Staff are very good at being attentive to the needs of every child and very observant of children’s
needs. I always get development updates on my child which is very helpful. Three members of staff in particular are all extremely supportive, encouraging welcoming and kind to my child.
