Busy Bees Leicester Thurmaston opened in 2006.

It is a bright, friendly and welcoming nursery with a dedicated staff team to give your children the best start in life.

The Bumbo Room (0-2) are based in their own secure unit with a separate milk kitchen. The babies participate in lots of sensory activities and have access to an age-appropriate garden.

The Bumble Room (2-3 years) has a spacious room with access to a covered outdoor canopied toddler area to support free flow in all weathers. Staff aid children with independence such as potty/toilet training and preparing them for their transition to the Pre-school room.

The Buzz Room (3-5 years) has access to a large and spacious room with access to another room for small group focus activities. The staff aid the children with independence and support "school readiness" teaching them the skills they need to be confident in their transition to school.

Each room focuses on the children's interests and activities are based around this which is evident in their implementation books. Environments are inviting and appealing for the children to approach freely.

The nursery celebrates all different festivals, birthdays and children's achievements!

They have a strong partnership with parents, keeping them informed of their child's development through parents meetings and general conversations.

There are many learning opportunities, exploration and adventure for babies, toddlers and pre-school children. Each room is a hub of activity, allowing children to be busy developing and learning new skills throughout their day.

There is a beautiful age-appropriate newly refurbished garden with various resources and activities for the children to access and participate in. They also have "Get Active With Buzz" as physical development is very important for children.

I couldn't recommend Busy Bees enough! since my daughter started here she has flourished into such a confident little girl. All of the staff here absolutely amazing!! nothing is to much trouble. You can tell they really care about the kiddies and it's not just a job to them. I can't thank them enough
and can't wait until my boys start too!

Our little one loves going to nursery as he loves all the activities and likes playing with his friends. The carers are extremely good and we have full confidence in them to take good care of our little one. The parent zone app is amazing and it helps us see what they have been up to and the updates
we get on our son are great.

Both of my kids have been too Busy Bees and never had any issues. They have loved it there and despite the current climate my daughter who is still there loves it and hasn’t felt any impact from the lockdown. She enjoys the themed days very much and the nursery staff always make an effort to send lovely
pictures to help keep us engaged with her day.

My little one has been attending this nursery since the last year and a half. She is almost two and has developed so much. The staff are lovely and teach all the children manners, hygiene and self-independence. My little one has also made friends with other children there and I often have to peel her
off to take her back home. The nursery holds many social activities. The food could be improved but in general no complaints.

The environments in the nursery are the most exciting that I have seen when visiting the surrounding nurseries. My child loves to come to nursery and never wants to leave. The staff are incredible and made me feel very at ease when leaving my child for the first time. The activities and photo's that

I cannot praise the staff at this nursery enough. My 2 boys attend this nursery and absolutely love it. The staff are professional and very hardworking. They are passionate and all so very lovely. My boys will be leaving the nursery at the end of this month due to moving out of the area and I'm sure
they will miss the staff as much as I will. I can't thank them enough.

My child loves coming to nursery. She was unsettled when she moved from the small room to the pre-school room but the constant and consistent effort from her keyworker was brilliant. My child settled in so well and made some great friends. She has become so confident (something I worried about) and
this is down to the staff at Bush Babies. I'm always greeted with a smile and told how my child has been that day. I couldn't thank them enough!

This was the first time I sat in and watched my 2-year-old son and friends listen and learn at story time, my son was over the moon to see me there and was well behaved interacting with questions and answering questions, with all his little friends doing the same. I was truly amazed and proud to see
my son shine in the class, also seeing all the children getting involved, the staff were amazing. All staff especially his key worker and manager would go out their way to make sure my son and I are happy and satisfied with any queries and issues raised in the past and dealt very professionally. Staff are not praised enough with the amount of effort and time they put in, so I would like to thank you all for your hard work. Not many parents would see what I have seen today and it really made my day and made me proud to say my son goes to this nursery, I was singing praises all morning to my friends and family and to see all the children so happy. Happy boy equals a happy mummy.

Highly recommend this nursery. Staff approachable, admin and management helpful.
Our baby always clean when we picked him up.
Parents have open access to the nursery any time of the day using a personal security code.
Staff ratio to the number of children is adequate.
Staff always happy and ready
to cuddle the little ones.

I came to the Christmas fayre and the staff were very friendly. The environment was very clean and welcoming and it looked like a lot of time and effort as well as hard work had gone into the organising. During the event, staff knew what was what and it was very clear they had excellent relations with
the children as the children and parents seemed very at ease in the environment. A well organised and played out event. Well done all.

We have twin boys who attend this nursery. They started at 13 months old and are now 4 years in Feb 2018. They have developed milestones at this nursery. From learning to crawl, walk, feed themselves, use a beaker - cup to now eating independently using cutlery. They have learnt a tremendous amount
and we thank all the staff at the nursery for their friendly, informative and supportive help. The chef cooks great meals which our boys love eating more! They have made friends and are starting to develop as individuals. Best decision to join this nursery!

The nursery is a safe, friendly and happy environment, my children are happy and enjoy coming each day. They have got strong rapport with staff, all of whom show such genuine care and interact in their well being and development. The food is excellent and they are encouraged to have good table manners.
I
have a huge respect for the staff who care for my children, they make them feel safe, give them fun, learning, laughter and warmth.
