Children 1st Leicester Nursery School is located close to the city centre with easy access from the university, royal infirmary and local bus routes. The nursery has been refurbished throughout to offer bright, open areas for babies, toddlers, pre-school aged children, as well as those in after-school club.

The friendly, enthusiastic staff are fully trained and experienced to provide a stimulating learning environment for each child.

The nursery features a spacious garden designed to maximise the potential for outdoor play, with carefully chosen, age-specific equipment. All children are encouraged to choose their own activities both indoors and out to promote independent learning.

The nursery also offers funded places for eligible 2, 3 and 4-year-olds.

One of the best nurseries in Leicester, standards are high and I am pleased with the care of my children. I know they are safe and supported at this nursery.
Once settled my children really look forward to going to nursery and get excited when arriving.
My eldest tells me about her day and all the
things she gets up too.
They have a great range of equipment to help develop their skills and knowledge. Would recommend this nursery over all others we have used.

My child has been attending this nursery for 12 months now; started when I went back to work at the age of 10 months.
I and my partner are extremely happy with the way our daughter is cared for, looked after, played with etc.
Our daughter is very happy to attend the nursery and you can tell each
day how much she is enjoying herself, how much she learns and develops in there.
Also very pleased with the way our needs (eg diet) and comments are responded to.
The staff is brilliant and passionate about their roles-comfortable to leave my child with them as I know she will be in capable hands.
Overall 5/5.

Good and friendly staff, always with a smile on their face. My child is well looked after. I always know he is in good hands whenever I leave him at the nursery. I do not stress or worry when I am away from him. So well done keep up the good work.

Overall we have had an excellent experience with the nursery we have two children at the nursery. The staff are very friendly and welcoming our children enjoy going to nursery.
We have recently recommended Children 1st to our friend after she was struggling to find somewhere she felt comfortable to
leave her child. She was so pleased when she visited she now sends her son.

As soon as I visited I knew that this was where I wanted my daughter to go whilst I was at work, and a few weeks in I can say I am really happy that I chose this nursery. My daughter loves all the different activities they do, loves her key worker and loves the food. All the staff are genuinely lovely
and I feel totally at ease when my daughter is there as I feel the staff really care for her and have affection for my daughter. I recommend to everyone I know who is looking for childcare.

My daughter has gained so many invaluable skills since coming to the nursery. All staff seem to have a genuine passion for working with children and are always stimulating and encouraging child development. I like the way that the nursery promotes and celebrates all different cultures with educating
the children through fun activities. Overall fab nursery and I have already recommended to 3 friends who's children now go to the nursery.

Hi, my son has been at Riverview for 3 years and loves nursery and has built some very close relationships with both staff and children. Baby room and early years have been outstanding in looking after my son. His reading and writing level is fantastic and this is due to the hard working staff in early
years. More trips please! Cameras- no consultation!!

As first time parents we were naturally cautious about our chosen nursery however from the moments we looked round Children 1st we knew it was the perfect place for out little boy. It's light and airy and the baby room has amazing sensory experience. The staff are so friendly and are always happy to
put your mind at ease, we were welcome to ring as much as we wanted. Our little boy has developed so well since starting there and we feel like they tailor the play to his personality as they do with all the children. I cannot praise them enough.

We moved to Leicester 2 years ago and went to view a few nurseries in the area. From then on we knew Children 1st Leicester was the nursery for us and our daughter. The feel, the flow and the staff were all contributing factors 2 years on and our daughter has absolutely blossomed in so many ways thanks
to the nursery. We both work full time so our daughter is in nursery full time and I rely heavily on the nursery to teach her the right thing to do for her to grow into an intelligent caring child.
In Dec 2015 and Jan 2016 the amount of activities that have gone on for my daughter have been excellent. From putting on a full production nativity play at Christmas to keeping me involved in the latest project - learning about our solar system, planets and all the fun stuff that comes along with this subject.
We are very lucky to have found such an amazing nursery and that is mostly down to the staff and the way they nurture all the children, teach them great moral standing and inspire them to be individual.

My two boys attended the nursery. My eldest just entered school and I'm sure that he has adapted well to it because of the great experience that he had in the early years group. My youngest has been there for 2.5 years. The staff are extremely friendly and they supported us throughout his journey from
baby to toddler. I feel that they are in a secure and loving environment. They love the food and their activities. Both my sons developed friendships, great progress and really enjoyed their time there.

Danielle Lee

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2013

Hello, my name is Danielle and I am the Nursery Manager here at Children 1st @ Leicester.
I began my journey in childcare in 2013 as an apprentice and have worked my way through each position with Children 1st. Having had the experience of each role within the nursery has given me the confidence and the breadth of experience to guide and support the staff where needed.
I love being the Nursery Manager as I am able to share my expertise and expectations with the staff alongside supporting parents when their little one first starts nursery and then progresses through each stage. We have currently undergone a beautiful refurbishment and look forward to sharing this with yourselves too!
