Children 1st Leicester Nursery School

My son has been at nursery since he was 9 months old. He will be leaving Children 1st @ Leicester in September. It will be sad for both me and my son. The nursery staff here from day dot have gone above and beyond, even down to the cleaner, who has formed an incredible bond with my boy, I can see the love between them whenever I collect him, letting him help her hoover. My son is on the Send register he has been supported and encouraged and understood by every member of staff. The manager/senco has been incredible along with all other members of staff that have supported, played, soothed, taught and loved my child. I can not thank, praise or recommend this nursery enough.

My son has been going to Children 1st @ Leicester since he was 8 months old. The change in him has been amazing! The staff really take care of him and teach him new things all the time, I feel at absolute ease when he is in the nursery. The staff are all so polite, very informative and always put the children first. He has a relationship with all the staff in his room and they always keep up with the new things he does which shows they really pay attention! At Children 1st it's like your child has a family outside of the home. The staff are reassuring, the food options are amazing and the children are well taken care of. I have never had a bad feeling or felt uneasy and the staff always listen to my needs and they're always met in regards to my child and they give the best advice! Thank you for always taking care of my little one! We will always be grateful for making those early years enjoyable!

I am very pleased with this nursery, the staff, the conditions and the progress of my daughter. She seems happy when going to the nursery and more confident overall. Nice job and a lot of dedication and patience from the ladies there.

My daughter has been at this nursery for 9 months and she has come such a long way with her communication skills and general development. She adores her teachers who show her care and attention, they are all lovely, polite, professional and welcoming at all times including the management team.

My little boy has come on leaps and bounds since going to this nursery. He started here when he was 1.5 years old, and he is doing exceptional. Sometimes he will come out with things that he has learned at nursery whilst at home, which I am amazed at. He's more confident, and he loves attending. The staff are great; they always inform me of any concerns, they provide comfort, and they really make me feel at peace knowing he is in capable hands. The educational side is brilliant. He gets homework, which we complete at home (he's 2 years 10 months currently), and they consider all cultures and religions. I would really recommend this nursery and the staff. When I pick my little one up, he is smiling from ear to ear, and he will talk to me about how much fun his day has been in the car and tell me all about his friends. The price may seem high, however, I feel that you get more than your money's worth! My child's needs are met, and he is such a happy little boy. Thank you, Children's 1st!

A great nursery with an amazing and cooperative staff. My daughter was so shy before going to the nursery but now her personality has changed positively with a remarkable improvement in her writing and reading skills of letters and numbers.

Teachers are supportive and engage kids with fun and educative activities. My son loves it at the nursery because he is always allowed to express himself and his confidence level has increased so far.

I've sent two of my children here and all of the staff do an incredible job. My 3-year-old who is currently in early years is so settled and absolutely loves his days there. All of the different activities he does and the routines make us know that he will transition to school in September really well.

Very friendly and professional team. My daughter was well cared for and they were able to be flexible for our schedule with our busy job. My daughter has been there for years and very much enjoys her time there, leaving with a big smile on her face.

Deciding on the right daycare was a huge decision when our daughter was close to the age of 2. Our main concern was that she would be shown love and treated like one of their own and not get lost in the shuffle of a busy daycare. Structure, diet, discipline, learning and socialising was important as well. Children’s 1st offered it all and more. We are so happy we chose them for our daughter. She spent 18 months with a wonderful family of caregivers and educators. We always felt that she was safe and happy in her environment. Thank you to all the staff that helped to raise our daughter to become a confident, social, fun-loving, caring little 4 year old. We love you.

Both of my children attend Children 1st nursery. My son is non-verbal autistic and they’re fantastic with him, he’s always so happy when he knows we’re going to nursery and jumps in excitement all the way there. He loves the teachers in his room, and the nursery have really succeeded in accommodating his needs. My daughter hasn’t really had much experience around new people as she was born just before lockdowns started, she absolutely loves it and always has the best time.

I love this nursery, it definitely brought out the best in my daughter. She has come out of her shell so much and is a very confident little girl. The staff are also amazing and very helpful when needed.

My first child has now been at the nursery for three years and my youngest has been there for three months. Both of them absolutely love going to nursery and often my youngest cries when I pick her up! Communication between staff and parents is fantastic and any time I have had any worries or requests, they have been seen to immediately. I recommend this nursery to all of my family and friends. Both of my children are confident, outgoing and socialize well and I have Children 1st Day Nursery to thank for this.

They keep me updated with photos/videos of my little one at nursery, and to see him having fun and building a bond with his teachers is really lovely. I honestly feel he is in safe hands at this nursery, surrounded by loving teachers.

Our child has been with Children 1st for nearly a year, starting at 14 months old, and his development has been noticeably improved. Every week he comes back with a new skill, and previously learned ones are repeated with confidence. 100% recommend.

My little boy started Children 1st @ Leicester when he was 9 months old and has just left and started school. Throughout his time at nursery, I was always safe in the knowledge that my son was well cared for and that all of his developmental needs were being met. As he progressed through the nursery it was always clear to me that the staff work hard to ensure that the children feel welcomed, safe and happy. Partnership with parents was always encouraged, and I always felt that any issues I had were always dealt with by management in a positive, professional manner. My boy is now at school and watching him start this new journey as a happy and confident child lets me know that Children 1st was absolutely the best decision we made for him. Thank you to all of the staff over the years who have played a part in shaping my son’s life, you’re all wonderful.
