Charnwood Nursery & Pre-School (Thurmaston)

A fantastic nursery, both my children attend as well as my nephews. The manager has been really supportive and understanding when our children have been unwell too, which has made a world of difference to us, allowing flexibility. The atmosphere and attitude of all the staff is always positive and everyone feels like they are part of a family at the nursery.

The staff and facilities are amazing. The experience they give my son is outstanding, the staff are so friendly, it’s like a big family they go above and beyond to help you. They give advice when asked. They give him structure in his day to get him ready for when he goes to school. They spend time really getting to know him as an individual and using his likes and dislikes to plan what they do sometimes. By far the best nursery.

My child really has come a long way since starting here. I never even had a visit around any other nurseries, I just knew Charnwood was the one and I was correct. My son loves his days here and his speech has come along a lot recently with the staff and his peer's help. The moving up rooms helped this too.

All staff are approachable and easy going. You feel like you've known them for a long time. Always there with any issues or guide you in the right direction.

I am extremely proud with my decision to enrol my two boys at Charnwood Nursery. The nursery provides an extremely stimulating learning environment for the children, there are loads of outdoor activities. Forest school is one of my boys favourite. I would recommend this nursery as it's one of the best nurseries around.

The facilities and staff are second to none. I have recommended to numerous friends whose children also now attend.

He is developing well and I am happy with the care he receives.

The staff are all warm, friendly and welcoming. In particular two members of staff make me feel confident to leave my son in a safe and enjoyable environment. The structure of the day and the activities that take place never cease to amaze me. So glad we chose Charnwood nursery - we will all miss it.

I feel so lucky that my son enjoys coming to school so much as it makes the mornings so much easier. He is always greeted by the staff with big smiles all round and can't wait to tell me how much fun he has had when I pick him up. It really is a friendly and professionally run nursery and I certainly wouldn't dream of sending him anywhere else.

Amazing nursery!

Overall this nursery is nothing short of excellent.

The staff at the nursery are amazing, dedicated, caring, knowledgeable. It's clear that they love their jobs and care for those in their charge. They are always happy to give my daughter cuddles and most or perhaps all those working at the nursery know her by name even though she's been there less than a year. Staff are always willing to listen to and accommodate, if appropriate, my requests and give me reassurance if I have questions. My daughter particularly loves the outdoor play and she often goes out on local trips and the state of her clothes at the end of each day is clear evidence of the fun she's had. Nursery even put on a free course for parents to help with understanding your child's behaviour and responding in a manner that helps you and your child.

My daughter has been attending Charnwood since she was 11 months old. She has just moved to pre-school. The staff have made her move to suit her needs and introduced her slowly, and have encouraged her along the way and helped her settle. They have done this with all her moves. The nursery is a lovely place and feels homely... like a big family. Even though my daughter may shed tears when I leave, when I collect her she always tells me how much of a nice day she has had! Thank you to all the staff.

It's an excellent environment and I would recommend it to anyone.
