Busy Bees Chesterfield Barlborough provide an extensive range of resources and activities throughout their purpose-built centre with four childcare rooms across two floors.

The team are dedicated to providing the best care for your children, ensuring that they stay happy and stimulated every day with a variety of activities throughout the nursery. This nursery provides a free-flowing system from the pre-school room which leads to the main room so the children can explore a variety of activities and resources. The main room includes both imaginative and quiet areas, leading onto a craft and creative section, an ICT suite and a library.

Busy Bees Chesterfield also features a wonderful, landscaped adventure garden so that the children can enjoy some refreshing outdoor play, exploring in an exciting yet safe outdoor space.

The baby rooms at Chesterfield Barlborough have their own safe and secure outdoor balcony so that even the littlest ones can also enjoy the fresh air during their time at nursery.

Busy Bees Barlborough are a cut above! Our daughter has attended for 17 months and her development every week is fantastic. Key workers are carefully thought out depending on the child to bring the best out in them and all of the staff are completely aware of each individual's bespoke needs. The centre
managers and room staff are always willing to listen to feedback, however small it may be and even the smallest comments are taken seriously because the staff here really care about the children and parents. All staff know my child's name - she is always greeted by name by everyone both in and out of the door. Monthly snapshots give a fantastic review of the EYFS, giving me confidence that my child is doing well and meeting expectations.
Meaningful interactions are used for the daily photos and really show off how she is learning and engaging through her day. I love this nursery, it is worth the drive to ensure that my little girl gets the best possible start to education. Recommended!

Fabulous nursery, our child has settled in really well with the help of his key worker and the great staff at Busy Bees.
The range of activities varies on a week-to-week basis giving children variety.
The whole staff team at Busy Bees are great, always friendly and welcoming.

The updates we get are so thoughtful and confidence-inspiring. Pickup and drop off are smooth, secure and the place is spotless. The food provided is fresh, healthy and varied. My daughter started very young and has a great relationship with her key workers and it's a joy to see her come home having
learned new songs or sounds. For the price, I couldn't/wouldn't know what else to expect or ask for!

My son attends the nursery and has done since he was 9 months old. The staff are amazing! So friendly and really cares about the children. My boy absolutely loves going here! The regular updates on what he's been doing, eating and the photos put you at ease. I cannot speak highly enough of how well
all the staff look after my little boy!
I've recently noticed a huge difference in how he communicates and how quickly he is learning and it's all down to Busy Bees staff - thank you so much!

All staff are friendly and welcoming, looked after my daughter for the last year and she loves all the staff there. We are so grateful to the team that help teach our daughter new things.

I am very pleased with Busy Bees Barlborough so far, I used a different nursery for my eldest child and so far I feel that Busy Bees is much better due to the environment a the experience of the staff. They have been attentive to my daughter, informative to myself and my husband on pick up and the environment

My eldest child has been attending for a few months now and my youngest is just starting, and I can’t praise Busy Bees enough. The staff have been amazing and helping them settle in. My eldest loves going and adores the staff and the friends she has made there. She has loads of fun and her social skills
and learning have come on so much since attending. My children both have food allergies and Busy Bees are fantastic at accommodating them and experienced at dealing with allergies, I feel 100% confident that they do everything they can to manage her allergies and keep them safe. Thanks, Busy Bees!

The staff have been fabulous, especially over the Christmas period. My son has done a lot of fun activities and comes home so happy telling me all about his day and all the dancing he's been doing! We have one happy little boy who loves nursery and that is down to the lovely staff there.

My little boy absolutely loves it at Busy Bees and is always excited to go. The staff and management are so friendly, knowledgeable and always happy to help with anything we may need. Large variety of activities and I love that key workers keep parents up to date with what our children are doing during
the day through the parent zone app. Management are very accommodating and will always try their best to fit you in if you need additional child care due to work commitments etc. It’s great I can go to work knowing my child is happy, safe and cared for. Thank you.

I have no complaints about the nursery. Both of my children really enjoy going and they are both developing great thanks to the nursery team.
They have a very good rapport with their key worker and keep us up to date on their progress.
We use the app to communicate and are always kept involved in
our children’s nursery journey. I would recommend the nursery to anyone.

My daughter has been going to Busy Bees Barlborough since May this year after going back to work after maternity leave, she loves going and the staff in Bombos 1 settled her in, cared for her and loved her like one of their own. I couldnt thank them enough, she has now moved into Bombos 2 and yet again
they have been brilliant with her. She gets so excited about going to nursery and I'm so happy that I chose this nursery to care for my little one. All the staff are amazing and very friendly and talk to you when you walk through the door and are happy to help with anything. If anyone asks for a nursery would 100% recommend Busy Bees Barlborough all the time!

The care and attention taken for our child is second to none. He has a syndrome that requires the staff to be aware of signs of him becoming unwell. Their help, support and willingness to support us, but yet listen to our point of view is commendable.

My twins have been going here for over a year, they have blossomed and grown in this setting which is due to the expert skills and care of the staff. They are ‘the village’ it takes to raise a family. All 4 of my children have been to Busy Bees Barlborough, and each of them are treated as individuals
and not forced into an ‘age-rated box’, my little ones have flourished because they have been allowed to learn at their own speed in a way that suits them best. They are all worth their weight in gold and there’s nobody I would trust more with my children at such tender ages.

Absolutely love this nursery. Both of our children have attended since they were 1 year old. The staff are amazingly friendly and caring. They are so active with the children and always have creative ways to keep them entertained. They are supportive with any sleep routines and potty training and I

Hello, my name is Katherine and I am the Assistant Centre Director here at Busy Bees Chesterfield Barlborough. I have been with Chesterfield Barlborough since 2015. I am very passionate about the children and families that we care for at our centre. I pride myself on having strong partnerships with parents and really enjoy getting to know them so can I ensure their little one is provided with the best start in life?


Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my little girl and family. We love to get outdoors and explore the beautiful countryside that is on our doorstep.

Hello, my name is Stacey and I am the Centre Director here at Chesterfield Barlborough. 


From stepping foot in a nursery as a little girl, I have always wanted to be a 'Mrs Teach' and look after children. 


Most of my experience is in managing and working in a busy baby room where the needs of every child are paramount and I cascade my knowledge to the whole of my amazing staff team. 


I even won Centre Director of the Year in 2020 with Busy Bees!
