Busy Bees Matlock is located in the beautiful county town of Derbyshire. Within the purpose-built nursery, you will find a fantastic range of facilities along with a highly experienced team who strive to support the development of every child.

Throughout the nursery there are several rooms, each designed to suit different age ranges and development stages and filled with a wide range of age-appropriate activities and resources to help your child develop at their own pace.

For the younger children, the nursery offers quiet rooms complete with cosy cots, chairs and playmats as well as a variety of toys and resources for when it's time to play.

Along with the excellent nursery rooms, the nursery provides a spacious outdoors area where children can explore and take safe risks. So whether they enjoy sports or just being outside, there is something to suit every child.

All children have a dedicated key worker, who will not only provide them with support and care but will also update you with feedback on your child’s developmental journey. You can stay connected throughout your child’s stay at nursery by using the ‘ParentZone’ app, to keep up to date with any milestones they may reach.

To leave your child with complete strangers requires great trust. In my experience, not only the key worker and 'Bear Cub staff' but ALL staff know my son's name and show him great care and affection. He is thriving as an individual and developing a great personality and I have no doubt that this is
due in part to the support he receives at the nursery. I have recommended Treetops (Matlock)to other parents based on our experience of the wonderful staff for which this job is a real vocation. Thank you for all your care and attention.

We find the nursery to be a great place for our daughter to learn and play.


The facilities are modern and clean.
The staff are very caring and helpful and show a keen interest in all aspects of our daughter's life.
We would recommend this nursery to anyone.

My child has been attending Treetops for almost a year now and we have been very happy with the transition from childminder to nursery. The activities are great and the staff in charge are very approachable and professional. There are some excellent members of staff that work with my child, however,
there does seem to be frequent new staff/high turnover. I often note the newer members are without name badges/uniform. When I hand over in the morning I would prefer to know their names!
Overall, I am pleased with the way nursery enhances my child's social development and would recommend your nursery to others.

I can only say great things about Treetops and the staff there. The staff are attentive, enthusiastic and always have time for both parents and little ones.
The facilities cater for the children brilliantly and they are never short on things to do and learn.

My Daughters thoroughly enjoy going to nursery. The staff spend the time getting to know the children and care form them on a personal level. The activities are varied and they get plenty of outside time which they love. The nursery provided the opportunity for the whole family to be involved with special
workshops for the children to enjoy with their parents and grandparents. The pre-school room really prepares the children for the outside world and for school.

The nursery is absolutely brill and my daughter genuinely loves coming! In fact, she sometimes cries when we pick her up!
The staff are just lovely and my daughter is happy, safe and comfortable with them. They are encouraging and nurturing and have her best interests at heart. We have seen her develop
lots since being in her current class and her key worker is just fab! So are all the staff! They would be even 'fabber' if they made her walk!

Our little boy loves his time at Treetops, Matlock. He has developed a close bond with some of his peers and the girls who work his room and it's lovely to see. His confidence has developed enormously as have his speech and social skills.
Treetops, Matlock has a fantastic outdoor space and our little
boy loves playing outside. He would be there all day if he could. I am very happy with the caring and friendly attitude of the staff at Treetops, Matlock.

Generally pleased with the ongoing quality of care and facilities. My daughter loves her nursery days and tells me all about her friends and the new songs and stories she's learnt.
The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, always making time to talk about how she's developing at home and at nursery.
I
was particularly impressed when the new manager put on an open evening to meet her and discuss any changes to the nursery. It was a great opportunity to be better connected and informed which we really appreciated.

My little girl has been going to Treetops since she was a baby and has always loved going. The staff in every room have always been really friendly and she has formed excellent relationships with her Keyworker and other staff members. My daughter loves playing in the lovely big garden and digging in
the sandpit. She has made good friends at nursery and talks about them all the time at home.
She is excited to move to the preschool room and will hopefully attend the swimming lessons they have on offer, where the staff take them to the Arc on a Friday morning.

A really great nursery that I have recommended to many people. The staff are very caring and really listen. The facilities are excellent and the children's activities are very varied. My son has been going to this nursery since he was 9 months old and I can truly say Treetops (Matlock) has played a
huge part in shaping the little 4-year-old boy he is now.

My son is now in the 2s room he has been coming to the nursery from 5 months old. He has enjoyed every room he is very close to the girls that have looked after him which makes it easier for me to leave him. He enjoys most of the meals. I don't think it's the cleanest place but it's not too bad (mainly
the floors) but I am glad they are spending time with the kids instead of cleaning.


I would/have recommended the nursery to friends. I just hope the price stays the same as a single parent I am finding it hard with the increases.

I have a very pleasant experience with Treetops Day Nursery. All staff are very friendly and helpful. Children have a big variety of toys and activities. Outside area has amazing playground and every single room has its own little library. Children always have healthy food and water access all day.
My boys will be very happy here.

My daughter has been attending this nursery since she was 11 months old, she is now nearly three and seems to get a lot of learning experiences and skills from coming here. The staff are always friendly and know all the children by name. My youngest daughter will be coming to Treetops as well, she is
having her settling in sessions and seems very happy here already. As a family, we are very happy with this nursery.

Treetops Matlock provide excellent care for our son and he has developed immensely since starting Crocs. They have put so much effort into the outdoor area recently (cannot wait for some reasonable weather so our son can enjoy it). Would really recommend this facility, Thank you for everything.

My little boy has been attending for a while now and he loves going, there is always so much to keep him busy, but it's not just playing and fun it's educational. They cater for each individual child and help them along on their journeys. The staff are amazing and the menus on offer are great, they
are nutritional, balanced and cater for all different needs, would fully recommended.

I have now had two sons through Treetops, Matlock, one of which still attends and he loves it as much as his brother did! There are various activities going on through the day, they certainly don't have to to be board! The outside areas are fantastic, one of which is being improved for further fun!
Its clean and always presentable. The food is always freshly made and is varied to give the children the chance to taste new foods and dietary needs are very well met. Nothing is too small or too big, they deal with all kinds of issues in a very polite but professional way. With the amount of children the staff have to look after, they are always smiling, courteous and always have a willingness to help where ever they can. Treetops also do various events throughout the year, such as decorating cakes on mothers day, making crafts on Grandparents day, Spring fairs and of course the Christmas Carol Concert, which was the best ever! Treetops, Matlock involve the families as much as they can to make nursery life for a child a very exciting one!

With over 12 years of experience in childcare and 5 years proudly spent at Busy Bees, I am passionate about creating nurturing, inclusive environments where every child can thrive. I have a particular interest in Special Educational Needs (SEN) and believe strongly in giving all children the best possible start in life.


At home, I’m a proud father in a family of five and love spending quality time with them, which keeps me grounded and inspired every day.
