Busy Bees Matlock is located in the beautiful county town of Derbyshire. Within the purpose-built nursery, you will find a fantastic range of facilities along with a highly experienced team who strive to support the development of every child.

Throughout the nursery there are several rooms, each designed to suit different age ranges and development stages and filled with a wide range of age-appropriate activities and resources to help your child develop at their own pace.

For the younger children, the nursery offers quiet rooms complete with cosy cots, chairs and playmats as well as a variety of toys and resources for when it's time to play.

Along with the excellent nursery rooms, the nursery provides a spacious outdoors area where children can explore and take safe risks. So whether they enjoy sports or just being outside, there is something to suit every child.

All children have a dedicated key worker, who will not only provide them with support and care but will also update you with feedback on your child’s developmental journey. You can stay connected throughout your child’s stay at nursery by using the ‘ParentZone’ app, to keep up to date with any milestones they may reach.

Busy Bees Matlock have cared for my children since 2018 and we have always been happy with the nursery. The staff are hard working, friendly and approachable and our children really enjoy their days there. Communication is good and it’s great to see all the lovely learning opportunities provided for
them. We love the revamped outdoor area and that they get time for Forest Schools too.

My little boy attends here and has settled in really well. All the staff are so lovely and friendly and the updates of what he is doing during the day on the app are great and reassuring. He loves to go into the nursery. The managers are so friendly and approachable as well as the staff. The nursery
looks clean and the food they have at mealtimes sounds amazing!

My daughter has been coming to Treetops since she was 9 months and is now 3. She loves coming every day and is always talking about her carers and friends. The staff are amazing and really friendly and the place itself is clean and homely. I would recommend Treetops to anyone and am dreading my daughter
leaving to go to school.

I can't express how happy I am with the level of care and support my son has received. All staff have been welcoming and taken into account all the needs of my child. The staff have really taken time to get to know our son even though he only does one day. We can't thank all the staff enough.

My daughter has been here since she was nine months up to pre-school (a week before starting school) The care our daughters received has been excellent, the nursery nurses have been outstanding they really do care. Even when things are challenging they step up and have the children's best interests
at heart. I'm definitely bringing my next here.

Very friendly staff, they all have a keen interest in the welfare of all the children. The outside space is the best I've seen from several nurseries and the children get lots of outdoor play. I really like the forest school too.

My daughter has enjoyed her time in Clever Crocs and always comes home messy so I guess she has had a good day! She likes to know who the adults are, so the large turnaround of staff has been unsettling for her, but we have seen a large difference in her development and growth over her time at Treetops.

Our daughter has spent nearly 4 yrs at Treetops and she's had a fun and happy time. She's made lots of friends and developed great relationships with the staff team. Any issues have always been dealt with promptly and professionally, and we've always trusted the team here to be open and honest with

Our daughter has just graduated from pre-school after 3 happy and fun years at Treetops. She started in the baby room aged 11 months and hasn't had a day she's not enjoyed since! As a mother every day I drop off my son and when I pick him up I am reassured he's had a great day at nursery. With an on-site chef who cooks freshly balanced meals. I trust he gets fed well. All the staff are friendly and you can see they are dedicated to the children in their care.

With over 12 years of experience in childcare and 5 years proudly spent at Busy Bees, I am passionate about creating nurturing, inclusive environments where every child can thrive. I have a particular interest in Special Educational Needs (SEN) and believe strongly in giving all children the best possible start in life.


At home, I’m a proud father in a family of five and love spending quality time with them, which keeps me grounded and inspired every day.
