Hello, I'm Laura - Area Manager for Cherubs South Normanton. I have been part of Cherubs Nurseries since 2007 and am incredibly fortunate to work across multiple Cherubs Nurseries during my career so far. Doing this has allowed me to really understand the expectations and the need to ensure we provide high-quality childcare every day. We take our role in the early years seriously and are always keen to go above and beyond where we can.
I am incredibly passionate about giving all children the very best start. In addition to my Area Manager role, I am the Group Safeguarding and SEND Lead. This means I work with all the nurseries to ensure we provide tailored care to those with additional needs.
Hello, I'm Jodie - Duty Nursery Manager at Cherubs South Normanton. I joined Cherubs in 2018 as a Level 3 Early Years Educator. I then completed the Senior Training in 2019 and was promoted to Senior Educator, and then Senior in Charge in 2020. I then stepped up to be Assistant Manager in 2021 and in 2022 completed the Leadership Training. In 2024, I became Nursery Manager. I decided to pursue a career in childcare as I wanted to be a part of a child’s journey, supporting their learning, and watching them flourish.
I am the SENDCo at South Normanton and I am Special Education Needs and Disability trained. I am a named first aider and have my paediatric first aid certificate. I have completed Derbyshire’s Safeguarding Training and I am the deputy designated safeguarding officer. I have also completed a Level 2 qualification in young people’s mental health and a Level 2 qualification in behaviour management.
