Lovely, friendly & informative key worker & team that have supported my little boy so well. Since starting nursery my son has grown so much in confidence. With the support of the staff there he has mastered potty training and his speech along with his behaviour has improved so much. He loves walking
into the nursery to discover what exciting, new activities the staff have set up for them to do. He really likes the outdoors and they have a lovely, huge outdoor space which I know he loves exploring. They provide a range of well balance meals/snacks and there has never been a time where my son hasn't eaten all of his dinner up here, so I know he enjoys them too. He has learnt so much since starting and I know he absolutely loves coming here to this nursery, sometimes the most difficult part is getting him to leave come home time.

Busy Bee have provided my little boy and myself with reassurance and confidence in him being happy and settled when I have returned back to work. He engages well with all staff and always happy to see them and the nursery in a morning meaning I can also go to work knowing he is happy and confident being
where he is for the day. Busy Bee has always been very helpful and flexible when I have ever needed to book any extra dates due to last minute meetings at work. I have also noted a definite improvement in developmental areas when he was attended.

I would recommend Busy Bee Day Nursery to any parent/carer for their children. From the management/staff/food/learning I cannot fault- my daughter, I believe, has developed and progressed really well, she is only 3 years old but the knowledge she has of general topics of life. I can only thank the staff

My child first started nursery in September and had not socialised very much. She has also only said a handful of words. Every member of staff have helped my child's progress and informed me every step of the way. I am very happy with how much my child has come on since being here.

It's always worrying when leaving your children with someone else to look after. I have a 1 year old and two year old that having been coming to Busy Bees South Normanton since September 2015. At the time my youngest was only 11 months old, it's hard to leave them at such a young age. I can honestly
say that I feel that all the staff here take very good care of my two boys. They come away smiling and happy and I know they are learning and developing at the same time. At the end of each day you get a report of what they eaten, how much sleep they've had and what they have been doing during their day. This is great to keep us mums informed but it is also great to talk through your child's day with them (if they're old enough). Every single member of staff here is lovely and I feel happy when dropping the boys off that they are cared for. If you need advice they are there to help with this too as between them all, they have a lot of experience. I would definitely recommend this nursery.

Laura Bowler

Job Title: Area Manager Joined: 2007

Hello, I'm Laura - Area Manager for Cherubs South Normanton. I have been part of Cherubs Nurseries since 2007 and am incredibly fortunate to work across multiple Cherubs Nurseries during my career so far. Doing this has allowed me to really understand the expectations and the need to ensure we provide high-quality childcare every day. We take our role in the early years seriously and are always keen to go above and beyond where we can.


I am incredibly passionate about giving all children the very best start. In addition to my Area Manager role, I am the Group Safeguarding and SEND Lead. This means I work with all the nurseries to ensure we provide tailored care to those with additional needs.

Job Title: Duty Nursery Manager Joined: 2018

Hello, I'm Jodie - Duty Nursery Manager at Cherubs South Normanton. I joined Cherubs in 2018 as a Level 3 Early Years Educator. I then completed the Senior Training in 2019 and was promoted to Senior Educator, and then Senior in Charge in 2020. I then stepped up to be Assistant Manager in 2021 and in 2022 completed the Leadership Training. In 2024, I became Nursery Manager. I decided to pursue a career in childcare as I wanted to be a part of a child’s journey, supporting their learning, and watching them flourish.


I am the SENDCo at South Normanton and I am Special Education Needs and Disability trained. I am a named first aider and have my paediatric first aid certificate. I have completed Derbyshire’s Safeguarding Training and I am the deputy designated safeguarding officer. I have also completed a Level 2 qualification in young people’s mental health and a Level 2 qualification in behaviour management.
