The staff are always friendly and helpful. It's our first, and they gave us tips, info and support. Our daughter really enjoys it, and the learning structure is very good. The outside space is great and will be lovely in the summer.

The staff at Busy Bees are lovely and always happy to help or reassure with any concerns, they have an excellent relationship with my child, who is always happy to attend.
The setting is of a good size with a spacious outside area for the children to play and explore.

My daughter has been at Busy Bees for 4 months now and loves it! She was 16 months when she started settled in very quickly and is confident with the staff. She learns so much during her 2 days a week and often comes home knowing a new word and has even taught me the actions to nursery rhymes! The staff
are excellent and very friendly and I would recommend the nursery to anyone.

My daughter loves coming to nursery and is very settled. Nursery has made her more confident an she is very polite. Busy Bees have always accommodated her allergies. I would always recommend Busy Bees, excellent nursery.

I take my grandson on a regular basis. The staff are friendly, helpful and sympathetic. If my grandson is not having too good a day I tell them, and they are so good with him. When he first started nursery he was and still can be quite overwhelmed. They quickly put him at ease giving him and us reassurance,
so we knew when we left him he would be okay, which means a lot and gives us peace of mind. Nothing is ever too much trouble and they are very accommodating.

My daughter started Busy Bee Nursery in July and now goes full time due to work commitment. She has settled in very well and staff are brilliant with her. She had very few tears from day one as the staff are very confident and dedicated. We get written feedback every day which is excellent. Staff is
always available and happy to answer to any queries you have.

Busy Bee Day Nursery staff have been excellent. Really helpful, kind and friendly and very professional. Our two year old daughter has really loved going so much so that she didn't want to come home at the end of the day! The facilities are excellent with a lovely garden at the back. We would just like

Busy Bee Nursery is highly recommended by myself. The staff are extremely friendly, courteous and helpful. I am very confident that my children are cared for whilst in the care of staff and they are highly educated whilst at nursery.

My daughter took a little time to settle but now enjoys being at the nursery and comes home full of stories as to what she has been doing whilst there. My daughter adores the outdoor space and I would recommend the nursery to others.

Laura Bowler

Job Title: Area Manager Joined: 2007

Hello, I'm Laura - Area Manager for Cherubs South Normanton. I have been part of Cherubs Nurseries since 2007 and am incredibly fortunate to work across multiple Cherubs Nurseries during my career so far. Doing this has allowed me to really understand the expectations and the need to ensure we provide high-quality childcare every day. We take our role in the early years seriously and are always keen to go above and beyond where we can.


I am incredibly passionate about giving all children the very best start. In addition to my Area Manager role, I am the Group Safeguarding and SEND Lead. This means I work with all the nurseries to ensure we provide tailored care to those with additional needs.

Job Title: Duty Nursery Manager Joined: 2018

Hello, I'm Jodie - Duty Nursery Manager at Cherubs South Normanton. I joined Cherubs in 2018 as a Level 3 Early Years Educator. I then completed the Senior Training in 2019 and was promoted to Senior Educator, and then Senior in Charge in 2020. I then stepped up to be Assistant Manager in 2021 and in 2022 completed the Leadership Training. In 2024, I became Nursery Manager. I decided to pursue a career in childcare as I wanted to be a part of a child’s journey, supporting their learning, and watching them flourish.


I am the SENDCo at South Normanton and I am Special Education Needs and Disability trained. I am a named first aider and have my paediatric first aid certificate. I have completed Derbyshire’s Safeguarding Training and I am the deputy designated safeguarding officer. I have also completed a Level 2 qualification in young people’s mental health and a Level 2 qualification in behaviour management.
