The variety of outdoor play areas, including two all-weather surfaced gardens and small covered verandas, ensure children are able to spend time outside no matter the weather.

Nature Trails offers a convenient service to parents, opening from 8 am to 6.00 pm Monday to Friday.

Absolutely outstanding service from Nature Trails. My daughter loves coming to pre-school. She enjoys the food and the range of activities they do.
The nursery is beautifully presented and kept. All the staff are amazing. Really polite and good at listening, they are really good at communicating and
being on hand to explain about fees and funding. No regret sending our daughter here!

Our daughter has been attending Nature Trails for the last 3 years and we also attended during the height of the COVID pandemic. As a Parent the health, safety and wellbeing of our child is paramount; the team at Nature Trails always have these points as priority. With wonderful facilities, outdoor
space and opportunities to learn and explore. We have seen our daughter flourish in areas such as mealtime etiquette, numeracy, movement and handling her pen grasp. Clearly, these are all areas that start with focus at home but the team at Nature Trails build, strengthen and encourage progress through dedicated time, energy and effort.
Mealtimes are a delight with hot nutritious meals provided by a qualified on-site chef and many parents seeking out his recipes as these meals are often requested at home!! I would thoroughly recommend to any new parent looking at Nature Trails to come and visit for once you have met the team and seen the facilities you will not look anywhere else.

Absolutely fantastic nursery with helpful, friendly staff. They helped us feel very welcome from our first visit and our daughter has been going there for just approaching 1 year now. We fell in love with the grounds and the outdoor ethos, knowing our child would be able to explore nature in such an
encouraging way made all the difference. Our key workers are just brilliant and update our parent app regularly to show us how she is getting on throughout the day and detail healthy mealtimes, nap times etc too. I’ve found this so reassuring and just a lovely personal touch.
Most importantly we have been incredibly reassured by the continued outstanding service during the recent lockdown. They have navigated through it with exceptional professionalism from my point of view. We received support via phone, email, newsletters, website and felt we were still connected with nursery, even though we couldn’t be there. Well done to all at Nature Trails. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you!

All staff the children come into contact with know the children extremely well. I feel my child is treated as an individual rather than a number. The standard of food is excellent and the children are developed and trusted so that they can make their own risk assessments rather than 'coddled' just because
it's easier/quicker for the staff to carry out certain tasks rather than allow the children to try.

Our child has been attending Nature Trails for 4 years now. His development has been remarkable, he is such a confident and inquisitive child and we credit much of this to the fantastic nurturing from the staff at Nature Trails.
The facilities are fantastic, he is always doing something exciting that
develops his creativity. He has formed amazing bonds with all his key workers, who he treats like a member of our family.
Choosing a nursery to leave your child at is a huge decision to make, I knew instantly 4 years ago that this was the right place for our son. As we prepare ourselves to start school I feel Nature Trails have equipped him with all he needs to flourish in the future.
We can't thank them enough.

Throughout the Covid crisis, Nature Trails have done absolutely everything they can to ensure the nursery is safe, and our children can return to an environment that while different, is still warm, welcoming and fun.
The children have had a difficult time these last three months with several levels
of adjustment - nursery closing, then reopening but different, and now waiting to start primary school. NT have made these transitions as painless as possible and I admire their efforts.
Amazing management and staff, and lots of very content children who are preparing for their next step into Primary education.

Could not recommend Nature Trails enough. Our daughter has absolutely thrived here since she was six months old and we will be very sad when her time comes to move on to school. The staff are fantastic and the facilities, equipment and outdoor space were far superior to any other nursery we considered.

My daughter has really enjoyed the past 12 months she has been at nursery and we as parents really enjoy seeing her development from it and tracking her activity through the app. We get daily updates at pick up and her key worker and colleagues show excellent support, my daughter has become very fond
of them. I feel completely comfortable leaving her in their care and they also work hard to reassure the parents. My daughter moved rooms earlier in the year and whilst dubious at first really supported her in the transition, I have previously recommended them and will carry on doing so.

Nature Trails is a wonderful nursery with dedicated, caring staff who work hard to provide a happy and fun environment. Our child is in the Caterpillars (youngest children) group and she really looks forward to going to nursery. The nursery is very flexible and was happy to accommodate us when we wanted
to change the number of days we had our child in the nursery.

A wonderful caring environment with so much space for the children to grow and develop. It's not cheap but worth every penny. Our son is the youngest of 4 and we've tried every childcare solution over the years, Nature Trails is by far the best. Our second son went to Nature Trails and we used a childminder
for number 3 but learnt the hard way as she found the transition to school very difficult in comparison. I would recommend Nature Trails to any local family looking for a high-quality childcare provider.

My children started at the nursery a couple of months ago. It is noticeable that they really enjoy their time there and are always happy to be dropped off in the morning. My children love to be outside and the fact that the nursery is located in a very nice setting and has impressive outdoor play areas,
as well as the fields, is a bonus. The staff are very friendly and the keyworkers for my children are very enthusiastic and professional which is important for any parent.

Nature Trails is a fantastic nursery. The staff are excellent, caring, thoughtful and well qualified. Both of my children have attended this nursery and I have been extremely happy with the care and love they have received. The quality of the nursery buildings and facilities available to the children
are extremely high, with amazing outside spaces including access to local woods. The nursery has invested heavily recently in new and high-quality resources in all their rooms, and my children love the variety they are offered. The food is of excellent quality with an on-site chef, menus are regularly reviewed and there is plenty available for hungry children! Lastly, I think the management of the nursery is exceptional - parents are always listened too and welcomed to contribute to nursery life, the management are very visible and know every child personally and they offer additional opportunities beyond the nursery day such as open days, welly walks, nativities, trips etc.

My daughter started here at the age of one and settled in very quickly. The level of care is excellent and I never have to worry if my daughter's being looked after well. The meals are nutritious and carefully planned to take in all dietary requirements. The activities and things they do during the
day are planned on a weekly basis. My daughter is blooming into this lovely little person, with exceeding confidence - the nursery has played a key role in her development. Although it's one of the more expensive day nurseries in the area, it's worth it. The new rooms created for 0-3 are absolutely brilliant.

Nature Trails is without a doubt the only Nursery I would put my baby boy in. From the moment we entered for our tour today, we have nothing but praise for the facility and staff. My son has additional needs and the staff have not only taken this in their stride, but they are also extremely proactive
in making plans to help his development and manage his ever-changing needs. He has come on leaps and bounds since starting two months ago. Although it is still emotional leaving him each morning, I can drive away knowing that he is in the best care possible and know the staff look after him as if he were their own. I couldn't be happier with Nature Trails and hope our son will continue to thrive for the next four years at the facility (I would travel quite a distance for him to remain there). I can not thank the staff enough, especially his key worker and the other staff in the Caterpillars Room. It really does feel like a big family.

My daughter has settled in well at Nature Trails, with the help of a lovely key worker and a supportive team in the pre-school room. We have been very impressed with the activities put on for the children, which all incorporate educational elements and explore wider themes to help them learn about the
world. The food is nutritious and freshly cooked on-site and the outside space is brilliant and made full use of in most weathers. I would thoroughly recommend it to friends and family.

My daughter spent four wonderful years at Nature Trails where she was taken care of and taught so many new things. She particularly loved all of her outdoor sessions from puddle jumping and walking to the woods when she was in Acorns to Forest School in Willow. The outdoor space is a real asset.

Vicky Stancer

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2006

Vicky is the Manager of Nature Trails Day Nursery in Cawston and has a wealth of experience, having worked in the early years sector since 1997. Vicky has a number of qualifications, including a BA (Hons) in Early Years and Early Years Professional Status. Nature Trails has been part of Childbase Partnership since 2018, yet Vicky has worked at the setting since 2006.


What is your favourite feature of Nature Trails?
My favourite features of the nursery are not only the extensive outdoor space we have to offer but also that we have been able to maintain the personal touch and family feel that Nature Trails has always had.


What are you most proud of about your nursery/team?
I am most proud of how the nursery has grown and become a part of the Childbase family and that our colleagues take such pride in their work and the company ethos.
