The variety of outdoor play areas, including two all-weather surfaced gardens and small covered verandas, ensure children are able to spend time outside no matter the weather.

Nature Trails offers a convenient service to parents, opening from 8 am to 6.00 pm Monday to Friday.

My daughter has been going to Nature Trails since she was nine months old and it never ceases to amaze me how brilliant the staff are. They are friendly, polite and go above and beyond for the kids.
The development I have seen since my daughter started is wonderful. She often talks about her key workers
at home and has a big grin on her face when she does so.
All in all, a wonderful place to be for babies and children alike.
I cannot recommend them enough!

I am glad I decided to send my son to this nursery. He loves going into nursery each time even though he’s there 8am- 5:30pm which is a long day for a young child. He loves cuddling his key worker and has a lovely bond with her and a lot of the staff there. The facilities are great indoors and out.
The genuine care for the children is amazing and they are always looking at ways to support their development. My mother in law works in a primary school and says the medical care and learning reports they do are exemplary.

Great nursery. Both my kids love it there. The staff can accommodate any special requirements that children have. The kids get to do a lot of outdoor activities and are allowed to get pretty messy, which I personally think is a great thing. The only challenge I have faced is parking during drop off
and pick up.

My son goes to preschool, it's a beautiful nursery with some talented, helpful, polite and always smiling staff. My son has learnt a lot after joining the nursery and keeps learning new things every day. He is always happy in the nursery and willing to be there every day. The nursery is so spacious
with a lovely garden and forest school for walks.
Though this nursey is not the cheapest option, in my opinion, it is worth it.

The Nursery is set in such beautiful surroundings. We are always greeted with smiles, although that could just be for our son! We have only just started at the Nursery but the staff in Caterpillars are wonderful, always happy to help and always listen. The more time goes on and as we get to know more
of the staff in older rooms we feel ever more confident that our son will grow to be an independent little boy. The rooms seem well stocked with resources, each catering to individual age groups. The gardens are huge too, and so many different areas. We were even sent home with some lunch for our son one day as he fell asleep over that time, and it's things like that that make all the difference. I'm really happy that our son is able to come here. Big thank you to all the staff that care for our family and we hope to get to know more of them soon!

This is my second child I've sent to Nature Trails and can honestly say I wouldn't dream of sending them anywhere else! What an amazing environment and start to learning life they provide. Every single member of staff in all of the rooms both my daughters have been in are truly amazing and a credit
to the nursery. The manager and the whole team truly care about your child and take the time to get to know them so you feel so assured you are leaving them in the best hands. My eldest daughter had the most incredible four years which really gave her the best start to school life I could have hoped for and my youngest is blossoming and learning so much. My youngest struggles with separation anxiety and drop-offs can sometimes turn into upset but her brilliant key worker and the manager have worked with me to ensure this is as stress-free as possible, they really are great with her. The communication is great as are the events they hold for the nature trails kids and family. I 100% recommend this nursery.

Fantastic nursery and staff. My little boy is in the ladybird's room and has come on in his development in the short time he has been there so far.
Amazing outdoor area and facilities.
He always goes into nursery happy and willing to play.

My son moved from Bumblebees to preschool at the beginning of September and his confidence and progression have developed beautifully. The team are great and always go above and beyond to ensure my son is settled and happy.
Overall I would highly recommend Nature Trails Day Nursery as it is like home
from home and they always have each child's interests and well-being at heart.

My child started at Nature Trails Day Nursery in September 2022. He only goes for two days of the week but since starting he has gone from a shy child, not wanting to interact with others, into a confident and bright boy who loves to interact with others. I'd highly recommend every parent send their
child here, the staff are amazing and always greet you and remember every child's name.

The best Nursery in our Area (Rugby). Brilliant staff and facilities. My little one enjoys going there. The atmosphere in the nursery is always positive, and the staff always welcome you. I truly recommend Nature Trails Rugby.

My eldest son started with Nature Trails in October 2018 and left to start school last month in August. My youngest son, had his last session last week after deciding to move him (purely for convenience). My experience has spanned four years, two children and every room with encounters with most staff
working there. I cannot recommend the nursery enough. The management greets you at the door every morning with a huge smile. They say hello to you and your child personally, I always find it amazing that they know everyone's names, but they do! Aesthetically, the building, gardens and rooms are beautiful and well resourced with everything you would expect from an early years learning environment, and more. I have only ever witnessed care, compassion, understanding, kindness and energy from the staff working there. Sports day and Pre School graduation are personal highlights. Memories of the amazing staff will last with me forever. Cannot thank you enough for helping our little two!

Our time at Nature Trails Day Nursery is coming to an end soon, as my son is off to school, and we are all so sad to be saying goodbye to everyone. From the moment you walk into the reception you are greeted at the door by happy smiley staff, the manager and her team are amazing, there has never been
anything that the management team hasn't been able to do, from baking an egg free cake for my sons birthday to putting on fantastic events such as sports day, graduations and plays. In the entire time we have been at Nature Trails we have never had reason to complain, our son has been well cared for, loved, challenged and above everything, he's been extremely happy. The staff in his room have been consistent and excellent, and he has an amazing key adult, she is brilliant and he will miss her the most. The facilities are second to none, as is the food in terms of quality and variety. This nursery is amazing and if you are thinking of sending your child to it, don't hesitate it is excellent in every way!

My son has just graduated nature trails in a lovely ceremony put on by the team. He has made so much progress in his time at the nursery and really grown in self confidence. The nursery have prepared him very well for starting school. A big thank you to everyone

We are just coming to the end of our journey at Nature Trails Day Nursery who have successfully prepared both our children for their lives ahead. They both enjoyed every minute from 6 months old to primary school age. The staff are great, facilities are great - can't complain at all. Will miss the place,
although will try to come back for the excellent summer fair next year!

Great management team, staff listens and keen to help when feedback is provided. Eldest came to nature trails and now second daughter is there too. Would highly recommend.
They held a summer event for Jubilee, which allowed parents to get to know the natural surroundings for their children. It was

So happy we decided to send out child here. The service that's the children are given is second to none!


I'm always amazed at the different activities that the children do here. The staff are always so welcoming and lovely!

I’m so happy that I chose this nursery for my daughter. The outdoor space is the best I’ve seen and there are even some lovely chickens and ducks that the children are able to interact with! I can tell that the staff really care for the children and my daughter loves her key person.

Our daughter joined in September 2021 and has/continues to love every minute of her journey here. The team in the Ladybird room have been exceptional in supporting both her social and academic development. She is always greeted with a smile when she arrives and the only challenge which we tend to have
is at home time because she wants to stay! We get regular updates on the app. which is great to see all the creative activities which she has been undertaking. An additional mention needs to be given regarding her keyworker who has been exceptional in identifying and developing our daughter's next steps. She goes above and beyond in all aspects of supporting our daughter and it's clear that our daughter has developed a really strong bond with her.


We cannot rate Nature Trails highly enough.

My son is currently in Caterpillars. Cannot fault the staff. Regularly met with a smile at the door and they've always got time for you, even if you arrive to collect close to the end of the day. Regular app updates keep you up-to-speed with what's going on whilst you're at work, showing varied activities
every day. The boy's always happy to be handed over in the morning and still smiling at collection time. Staff are receptive to requests and it's obviously communicated very well throughout. Good food and a great environment.


As feedback, it'd be great to get some ongoing consistency with his assigned carer, hopefully staying with the team for some time to come. Also, car parking can be a bit of a nightmare, especially when next to such a busy road. Any possible overflow opportunities at the back of the site would definitely improve the situation at peak times.

Vicky Stancer

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2006

Vicky is the Manager of Nature Trails Day Nursery in Cawston and has a wealth of experience, having worked in the early years sector since 1997. Vicky has a number of qualifications, including a BA (Hons) in Early Years and Early Years Professional Status. Nature Trails has been part of Childbase Partnership since 2018, yet Vicky has worked at the setting since 2006.


What is your favourite feature of Nature Trails?
My favourite features of the nursery are not only the extensive outdoor space we have to offer but also that we have been able to maintain the personal touch and family feel that Nature Trails has always had.


What are you most proud of about your nursery/team?
I am most proud of how the nursery has grown and become a part of the Childbase family and that our colleagues take such pride in their work and the company ethos.
