Sandhills Day Nursery Alvechurch is situated in a grand, spacious, converted white house overlooking stunning views of rolling fields in the heart of Alvechurch. The nursery is the perfect setting for parents looking for a local village nursery bursting with opportunities to help their children flourish. The nursery offers exceptional care, enriched by unique learning opportunities for your child. One such experience is child-friendly cooking classes, helping to equip children with valuable skills and deeper knowledge of the cooking process.

A spacious nursery providing a home from home setting for children to play, learn and explore. Upstairs is where their babies start and as children become more mobile and active, the rooms downstairs lend themselves to encouraging children’s curiosity inside and outside of the nursery.

The nursery was newly renovated in June 2020; it maintains its unique home from home feeling whilst providing children with a natural, light and spacious environment.

Outside, the nursery has two secure, enclosed gardens, each providing children with different learning experiences. The top garden, fully equipped with a mud kitchen, logs, tyres, bits of tubing and much more, allows children to explore and develop their imaginations through their exploration of expressive language and creativity. While the bottom garden lends itself to supporting children’s gross and fine motor skills.

My daughter's been going to Sandhills since February 2017 when she was 6 months old and I couldn’t ever imagine her going anywhere else, She is reaching all her goals for her age group and Sandhills have definitely played a massive part in this. There’s a lovely atmosphere and all the staff are friendly
and helpful. I trust them completely and they are doing a brilliant job. I would recommend Sandhills to everybody!

My son loves going to Sandhills. He takes part in lots of activities and we always get a good handover at the start and end of the day. It’s great to get updates and photos via eyLog.

Sandhills has helped take the stress out of returning to work, from the settling in, the friendly staff that know all the children, to the activities they take part in. The eyLog app helps you feel included in what they are up to and catching up with his progress at parents evening is great. They are
also really good at trying to accommodate if you need extra days cover.

I have used Sandhills over the last 9 years for my 2 children and have been consistently pleased with their care. My daughter is currently in her last year there before starting school in September 2018. She has always enjoyed her time there and been treated with care and affection since she started
at the end of 2015. She has a dairy allergy and Sandhills have gone out of their way to cater to her requirements, adapting the lunch menu and ordering specific dairy free foods where necessary.


The staff have always been professional and caring and we would highly recommend Sandhills to anyone looking for nursery care.

I have previously used this nursery for my daughter and now using for my son. The nursery is a welcoming place, home from home. The staff are all friendly and helpful. You know your child is in safe hands here. They are outstanding in their Ofsted report and it really shows. I wouldn’t consider anywhere
else.

Sandhills has been nothing but fantastic with my two children. The staff gave my daughter a really strong foundation for Reception Class. My son has grown in confidence and is learning lots of songs and numbers at the moment. The management is very approachable and accommodating. Thank you Sandhills!

My daughter has speech and language problems and the staff in Mr Chatterbox have been fantastic in helping her build her confidence and developing some of her speech by using flash cards and including her in all activities. They tell me what she has done when I collect her and the staff are so friendly,
especially one staff member which my daughter has taken a liking too. I love the eLog app where I can see photos, videos and read what my daughter has been getting up too. Thank you Sandhills.

Both my children went to Sandhills Day Nursery (Alvechurch) from around 10months and have loved it. As a parent, I'm confident they are looked after by caring, kind and attentive staff who make a point of keeping parents well informed on every aspect of learning, development and the fun they have. The
setting is beautiful, the facilities are good, the food is good and the staff clearly love their job. I can't speak highly enough about this nursery! Even the craft projects they do with the little ones for Easter, Mothers Day etc are lovely little touches.

My daughter attended Sandhills from when she was a baby right up until she started school and I cannot praise the nursery enough. My child really enjoyed going to nursery and her confidence and development improved greatly. Seeing your child happy and content at nursery gives you an added peace of mind.
The staff are an absolute credit to Sandhills.

The standard of care and attention at Sandhills is excellent. Both of our children have attended and have been very happy there. The care from the staff is over and above and there have been even more improvements since the new team leaders have come into position.

My daughter started at Sandhills 2 years ago after moving her from another nursery where she was unhappy. Being at Sandhills has transformed her, and was the best decision we could have made. The staff are excellent as are the management team. All the children are happy, settled and well cared for.
The range of activities and learning are brilliant. My daughter thoroughly enjoys her time here and I have complete confidence in their care. Can't recommend them enough.

Over 7 years for both my children we have had a very positive experience at Sandhills. The staff are very caring and many have been there for a long time. They provide a wide range of activities for the children and except for the oldest children the rooms are small, so they get a lot of individual
attention.

Hello, I'm Bev and I'm the Nursery Manager here at Sandhills Day Nursery Alvechurch. I am qualified NNEB, Management Level 5, PFA.


We have a caring staff team, who are dedicated to ensuring our children have the best start in life. They create strong bonds with the children and their families so we have an all-inclusive environment for the children to develop their own unique personalities. We are where the adventure begins and the fun never ends.
