Sandhills Day Nursery Alvechurch is situated in a grand, spacious, converted white house overlooking stunning views of rolling fields in the heart of Alvechurch. The nursery is the perfect setting for parents looking for a local village nursery bursting with opportunities to help their children flourish. The nursery offers exceptional care, enriched by unique learning opportunities for your child. One such experience is child-friendly cooking classes, helping to equip children with valuable skills and deeper knowledge of the cooking process.

A spacious nursery providing a home from home setting for children to play, learn and explore. Upstairs is where their babies start and as children become more mobile and active, the rooms downstairs lend themselves to encouraging children’s curiosity inside and outside of the nursery.

The nursery was newly renovated in June 2020; it maintains its unique home from home feeling whilst providing children with a natural, light and spacious environment.

Outside, the nursery has two secure, enclosed gardens, each providing children with different learning experiences. The top garden, fully equipped with a mud kitchen, logs, tyres, bits of tubing and much more, allows children to explore and develop their imaginations through their exploration of expressive language and creativity. While the bottom garden lends itself to supporting children’s gross and fine motor skills.

Our two daughters have attended this nursery for the last year, and we couldn't be happier with our choice. The staff have been particularly brilliant in helping our eldest with SEN prepare for school.
The progress we have seen in both of our children has been fantastic. They love attending this nursery!

My child is very settled at this nursery. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The staff plan a variety of activities to help the children learn in a fun, engaging way. They really go above and beyond. My child loves going to nursery every day, which says it all. It's a relief knowing they're happy,

We have been really happy with everything. The staff are welcoming and friendly, and communicate with us really well. Our son has settled brilliantly and is really happy at nursery - he loves his keyworker and enjoys attending every day. The staff support him excellently, and he's really developed socially
since he's been attending. We especially love all the thoughtful cards and artwork he comes home with. A fantastic nursery - thank you.

The nursery staff are friendly and very supportive. My son loves going to nursery every morning.
The staff communicate all the developments and the skills they are working on to develop in my son.
The food is great, specially more recently the menu is very healthy and varied and the staff adapt
to my son's allergies really well. The care they show is exceptional and I can see my son being more and more sociable as a result compared to the time he joined as a baby.
Highly recommend.

Been brilliant - really happy with how the girls have settled in.

My son is in pre-school. The staff are working strongly on school readiness which is educational to both myself and my son. Each day as well as information on what went well and if anything does occur in the day that is unusual for my child, staff are quick to mention to keep me in the loop. The children
also go on trips now, my son loves talking about these when he comes home. Most importantly he is cared for here, when I come to collect my son he's either playing or being doted on by staff, they treat him with a parental touch - allowing him to feel safe, secure and happy here.

Sandhills has a lovely and friendly atmosphere. Both of my sons have attended sandhills. My current little boy is always happy and excited to attend on his nursery days. The staff work very hard, and I feel like they genuinely care about the children. I've experienced good communication throughout especially
from Bev (manager), she is excellent. They provide good healthy meals, which my son has always eaten well there and enjoys their activities such as mini athletics Tuesdays :) & the singing lady that regularly comes in. The nursery has easy & accessible parking, with a lovely countryside setting, plenty of fresh air. The outdoor space is great & recently the rooms have had a refurb. My little boy has struggled to get rid of a facial rash over the winter, and they have been fabulous at maintaining my care regime at home - applying cream regularly and looking after it. They provide such good care and attention. I will be sad when the day comes, when we no longer need sandhills.

We have a caring staff team, who are dedicated to ensuring our children have the best start in life. They create strong bonds with the children and their families so we have an all-inclusive environment for the children to develop their own unique personalities.
