Sandhills Day Nursery Alvechurch is situated in a grand, spacious, converted white house overlooking stunning views of rolling fields in the heart of Alvechurch. The nursery is the perfect setting for parents looking for a local village nursery bursting with opportunities to help their children flourish. The nursery offers exceptional care, enriched by unique learning opportunities for your child. One such experience is child-friendly cooking classes, helping to equip children with valuable skills and deeper knowledge of the cooking process.

A spacious nursery providing a home from home setting for children to play, learn and explore. Upstairs is where their babies start and as children become more mobile and active, the rooms downstairs lend themselves to encouraging children’s curiosity inside and outside of the nursery.

The nursery was newly renovated in June 2020; it maintains its unique home from home feeling whilst providing children with a natural, light and spacious environment.

Outside, the nursery has two secure, enclosed gardens, each providing children with different learning experiences. The top garden, fully equipped with a mud kitchen, logs, tyres, bits of tubing and much more, allows children to explore and develop their imaginations through their exploration of expressive language and creativity. While the bottom garden lends itself to supporting children’s gross and fine motor skills.

My daughters' moved to Sandhills from another nursery in which they had a bad experience - as a result, one of them had lost confidence in herself. We were nervous about sending them to a new nursery just a few weeks later, but Sandhills have been absolutely fantastic and I'm so happy to say that my
kids now run to nursery in the morning with a big smile on their face. The staff are absolutely fantastic, friendly and have really helped them to come out of their shells again. They seem to engage in so many different activities throughout the days that they attend - they love the Music Lady and Mini Athletics! Just a lovely atmosphere as soon as you get out the car and see the beautiful view to being greeted at the door by such welcoming staff. Really is a home from home. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Sandhills is a wonderful nursery. Both of my children attend. They are cared for extremely well. The staff know them very well and cater to their individual needs. It's clear that the children's development is very important to all of the team and they support the children with areas they need help
with.
My children have come on leaps and bounds in confidence and all areas of development. They are always really happy to go to nursery, and are excited to share the great things they have done in the day with us.
The staff are very friendly and kind, and happy to help with any issues that arise.
We cannot fault it.

Varied menu and someone gets my child to eat all of her food most days.
Lots of activities and stimulation for the children.
Very accommodating of changes to schedule.
Decent amount of outdoor space - two gardens and fields out the back.
Could do with some more photos during the day to show the
activities but generally happy with the care my daughter receives.

I am beyond happy with everything Sandhills Alvechurch offer my child. He never cries when he comes in because he loves being here. Everybody welcomes him and I feel like I am leaving him with family. He has thrived since he's been here and is learning new things all the time. The app is always up to
date and I love seeing what he's been up to. I wouldn't send him anywhere else and feel lucky to have a space here.

Very friendly nurturing staff. Every time I pick my baby up, she's doing an activity like being read a story or playing with soft play. I have two children at Sandhills, Alvechurch currently aged 2 and 4. I have been so pleased with this nursery throughout. The staff are wonderful and have consistently built lovely relationships with both of my kids. They both run in in the morning with big smiles and are full of stories of their day
at collection. I love the extra music and athletic classes and the focus on spending time outdoors. My son is enjoying his visits to the local care home and was so excited about his role in the Christmas carol concert. I would unreservedly recommend Sandhills.

Excellent staff, always happy to answer any questions and accommodate your needs. Meals for lunch are excellent, but late snack/tea could be improved considering fees being paid. My daughter enjoys a wide range of activities and loves the staff members (and staff). Good parking and good play area outside
