Sandhills Day Nursery Alvechurch

Would definitely recommend this nursery to anyone looking for a home-from-home style nursery setting for their child.

They do lots of fun activities with the kids, including a lot of outdoor time. This includes music and forest school sessions and a recently added athletics class. They update the app every day so you know everything you need to. Management is helpful and approachable and know the children really well. Overall, we have had a great nursery experience with Sandhills Day Nursery and will always recommend.

My son loves his days at nursery and always comes back with a huge smile on his face and can't wait to tell me about his day. The staff are all very friendly and keep you well informed on his journey. The difference and confidence that have grown with my son are incredible and I would highly recommend Sandhills Day Nursery Alvechurch. Thank you for all the hard work.

My little girl has settled in so well at Sandhills! Everyday she comes out so happy telling me about the fun things shes done and chatting about the lovely staff and her friends. The staff are very approachable and reassuring if I ever have any queries!

Recently moved to the local area and was sceptical as to where to send my children, as I’m from out of town. Visited multiple nurseries before finally finding Sandhills, and I’m so glad that I did! Such a warm, welcoming feeling amongst the nursery, with kind-hearted and brilliant staff; there’s no other place or people I and my wife would want to look after our children! Couldn’t recommend Sandhills enough!

My son attends Sandhills and has been there since he was 9 months old. He is always excited for his days at nursery and is eager to tell me what he has been up to when he gets home. The staff are all so welcoming and keep me informed and up to date with everything that's going on. Management are always on hand if I have any queries. The outdoor space is beautiful, I would highly recommend this nursery!

Our two year old has been attending Sandhills three days a week since they were twelve months and it's been an amazing experience throughout. The baby room staff are so amazing and do so many great activities. They always listen to our little one's needs and respond to them. We feel very comfortable and confident leaving them with the team. Thank you to everyone in the baby rooms!

One of my boys does need additional support, and I am so impressed that Sandhills has an incredible Senco and Key Worker that are able to understand what works for him. I really wish I had put my children into this nursery sooner; they are honestly the best children’s care providers in Alvechurch (trust me, we’ve tried them all!).

Fees continue to be challenging to manage, especially with two rises in the last year.

Great child care with many diverse activities to keep the little ones excited, entertained and challenged. Also, receive comprehensive reviews on progress made and daily updates. Overall very happy with the nursery and service provided; thank you!

Our child absolutely loves it at Sandhills. We always get a warm welcome when dropping them off and a real family feel, as everyone knows their name and says hello. He has come on leaps and bounds since starting, developing really well, eating a great variety of food and always taking part in lots of fun activities. The children are obviously very well cared for, and our child is very happy here. Would highly recommend Sandhills to anyone!

Great nursery and friendly staff, both of our children have attended the Alvechurch setting and have thoroughly enjoyed their time there. Communication is good between the nursery and parents, and the app used to send through updates is also great. Highly recommend!

Sandhills Day Nursery has been great in accommodating my little girl. I was very nervous for her to start, but all staff, including the managers, have been so reassuring and helpful! I feel very happy leaving my child with them each week.

Potentially an improvement could be around communication (specifically for emails to be answered more promptly when an enquiry is being made).

Accepting that’s a lot of feedback, the nursery offers a good level of care, and the children seem happy. However, there are common areas that should be addressed to make the experience better.

The nursery also changed the parenting app. The app isn't as good as the old app. We have missed information because of the way it comes through on the app.

Sandhills provides a safe, happy, secure environment for my 4-year-old. I leave him there, knowing he will be well looked after and his individual needs attended to. The staff are wonderful, and there is excellent staff retention, which speaks volumes. Since being taken over, there have been some issues with communication re-finance, which have recently been resolved. I cannot fault the on-site local manager and team, who are very responsive and proactive. It is clear that all the staff genuinely care about the children. Despite all the Covid challenges, the staff put on a fantastic nativity play for the preschoolers.

Really nice and helpful staff. My son loves his days there, and I am extremely satisfied as we enter month four. Communication of what he has been up to (pictures and activities) is also awesome. They are even very understanding if we are running late for breakfast.
