Bright Kids Crabbs Cross in Redditch Worcestershire has been based in the heart of the community since September 2001. They provide a spacious play environment for children aged from birth to eleven years all on one site.

Youngsters all have their own age-appropriate indoor and outdoor play areas. Facilities include, but are not limited to, extensive garden, friendship hut, adventure climbing area, and a Forest School area. In 2020 the nursery went through a refurbishment when it bought the adjoining house and developed it into further indoor space for the children, moving the office and creating a baby garden.

Bright Kids has a philosophy of learning through play, children work and play together in small groups to develop skills and knowledge to become independent learners for life. They stimulate children's curiosity with their unique authentic resources which absorb and intrigue them.

Fantastic nursery. All the staff are loving, welcoming and caring. They go above and beyond for the children each and every day. They have really gotten to know my daughter spending one on one time with her.
The encouragement and challenge they have given ensure my daughter is more than ready for Big
School. Introducing phonics and numeracy alongside play. I highly recommend this nursery. We couldn't have asked for anymore!

I am extremely happy my son is at this nursery. The staff are very enthusiastic. I strongly believe that my son has been given a wonderful, enjoyable and caring start to his nursery and school life in the future and are confident this will reflect on his progression into his next class at the nursery.

Bright Kids Crabbs Cross brilliant nursery, I would definitely recommend them. Lovely staff. Lovely surroundings. Children all seem happy every time I pick and collect. Very good quality of toys for all ages. The equipment is all in good condition. Always felt welcome at Bright Kids. Always felt comfortable
having my child in this caring place of safety and pleased with my sons learning skills. He has really come on whilst being at Bright Kids. Will miss them a lot.

Absolutely wonderful nursery and equally as amazing staff. My very shy girl has come on so much since moving nurseries to Bright Kids and loves coming here. I feel safe and comfortable leaving her with the ladies.
The activities are just brilliant and the fact they can use the garden anytime is always
a winner.
Very sad to be leaving to head off to big school.

I am very happy with this setting, I have only been using them for a short period of time due to the fact that I started to have problems with my previous nursery and was in the best interest to move settings. They were very welcoming when attending the setting for a visit and answered all questions
with out hesitation. All staff are very pleasant and interact with the children and work with their interests. I have no issues with this nursery and they are now working with my child to get him ready for school. The monthly cost is higher than I previously paid but for what is provided for the children I do not mind, The children get breakfast, morning snack, lunch and then tea at no extra cost. They also offer a holiday club which I have registered my child for as he his already familiar with the staff.

Bright Kids is like a second home for my children. They are more than happy to attend and have a fab time when they are there. My children have developed great relationships with their key person/carer which is wonderful to see.
The nursery is really flexible and are great at communicating with you
via email and the telephone.
My daughter is starting school in September and is already great with numbers and letters thanks to Bright Kids.

This is a wonderful nursery that my step-son has been attending, he has really enjoyed himself every time he's gone. The staff are lovely people who always put his needs first, and since he has started he has been thriving mentally, verbally and socially, and the new skills he learns, he brings home
with him and it's a joy to see him grow and develop. He is always clean and tidy, well-fed, and extremely happy when I and his father pick him up. This truly is an excellent nursery and would recommend it to anyone. Thank you for supporting and helping him with his suspected autism.

All the staff seem to be great with my daughter. It is a shame we still can’t go in to pick her up and see them playing etc but they always come out with a list of what she’s been up to. Being born early in the school year I think that mainly thanks to nursery she could go to school comfortably this
year but unfortunately has to wait another year. I’m sure they’re used to this and provide some more challenging activities for her next year. Would also be nice to see more regular updates on tapestry. On the whole it seems a great nursery, would just love to know/see a bit more about what she gets up to.

Although I have chosen the month December my review reflects Bright Kids all year round, my daughter has been going here for the past 2 years and in that time I have changed my job role within my company several times, the staff have been nothing but supportive and managing to swap and change my daughter's
days/times round without any issues. My daughter is well looked after by all the staff, they really do go above and beyond for the children and parents. The management team are very hands-on (as a manager myself I know how hard that can be at times). I'm also trying to get my daughter into a school close to Bright Kids so she can continue to go to club, come September this year.

As I have started working full time my son has been going to Bright Kids after school. The staff are so friendly and lovely, offering to help with reading and homework and collect him straight from school, even if he has after school club. It has a large outdoor space and loads for the children to do.
I will be using Bright Kids in half-term holidays and as of next month breakfast club. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Staff are very friendly no matter when you see them. Always willing to chat and communicate about the children when you need to.
They encourage the children to read their school books and like them to go outside when possible.
Snacks are done differently where children don't have to sit, and the
food and quantity are now not compromising a proper meal in the evening.
Good pull up and drive off system, but plenty of space in the car park opposite if needed.

Bright Kids at Crabbs Cross has been part of my son's life for two years and is amazing. My son has Autism spectrum disorder and his needs are met every session. He has his box labelled just for him and has had his sensory corner. Staff are fab. It is a clean and friendly environment and I will recommend

I have been at Bright Kids since May 2020. Previously I have been a manager of an outstanding nursery for 10 years. I hold a level 3 qualification in childcare and also a level 5 qualification in leadership and management.


I have experience not only in management but also working as a practitioner through all early years age groups. I have a wealth of experience and passion for special educational needs in Early years. I look forward to putting all of my experience into practice at Crabbs Cross.

I have worked for Bright Kids for over 20 years now. I started work as a nursery assistant with a Childcare Diploma. I have progressed to become a Deputy/Manager holding a Level 5 in Management also level 4 in Early Years. Childcare has always been a passion and after having two children of my own I believe in allowing children to develop and learn to their highest potential.


I am also a Designated Senior Lead. I have seen lots of children flourish during their time at the setting and now some return with their own children.
