Bright Kids Crabbs Cross has grown alongside generations of local families since opening in the heart of Redditch in 2001.
The nursery spans two adjoining buildings, creating generous indoor spaces for babies, toddlers and preschool children. Each age group has an environment designed around the way they move, communicate, play and learn, while babies also benefit from their own dedicated garden.
Outside, the extensive grounds offer much more than one shared play...

Love to see a local holiday club for the Matchborough area but apart from that it's a good club. Recommend definitely.
Lovely nursery, friendly and wonderful staff, however I think the prices are way too high. Opening of the front door could be better managed. But overall my children love being here and they have learnt a lot and made lots of friends.
My children attend the out of school holiday club, they are both very happy to be left at Bright Kids. All the staff are lovely, and they do a wide variety of things to keep the children happy and occupied.
Excellent care, my daughter enjoys going there and likes the staff. I think the staff are very helpful and friendly, also alert. There's plenty of activities and learning of different topics and end of term parties, Halloween, Christmas, St Georges day Queen's birthday etc lots of learning about other foods from different places. I'm very happy with my daughter going there and she has been there for a few years now :-)
Having had both my girls attend/attending Nursery and afterschool club since early 2012, I cannot rate the staff, the care they provide and the facility highly enough. I am thankful of the support they provided/provide me and my children following the death of my wife. They have also provided my girls with a great start in life and are helping them develop into the amazing children they are today. Thank you.
Lovely welcoming nursery! Staff do their utmost to ensure my son feels safe and happy while in their care! He doesn't like it when I leave, however I feel content that they will comfort him and cheer him up very quickly!
I'm extremely happy with the care and education my daughter receives at Bright Kids. I know she is very safe and also enjoying herself on a daily basis. Not only has the nursery helped with her education and speech, they have also helped her become very confident and also have goals for her to develop even more. The communication between staff and parents is brilliant! Its like my daughter has a second family at nursery where she is loved and cared for beautifully. I can't thank the staff enough. All staff in Crabbs Cross, Redditch are a credit to Bright Kids!
Lovely nursery, lovely team who work there looking after the little ones! My son went there until he was old enough for school, now his little sister loves it there too! I would definitely recommend Bright Kids, Crabbs Cross, to anyone looking to put their child somewhere caring, safe and friendly.
Really pleased with the care provided to my son. He always seems happy and chatty after collection and I have noticed improvement with his development. The staff address any concerns I have and keep me fully informed of activities done.
The best nursery around. Staff are amazing and always happy and prepared to help whatever the problem. Has a large garden with toys, swings, slides, etc. Plenty for children to do whatever they are into. My son has never complained or had a bad day, to date. It's hard to get him to leave at home time.
My son has been treated amazingly. He is always happy and loves attending. I have never had any problems and would recommend the nursery to everyone.
Excellent care provided for both of my children, supportive and thorough. Both of my children are progressing well and are very happy there. The nursery are very flexible and supportive of my working hours as a teacher.
Good nursery, my son has gained confidence, good communication skills and understanding about the real world. Always comes home happy explaining about what he's done and who he's played with, he's made good relationships with the staff and children. Considering he was non-verbal until 2 and a half years, his vocab never fails to amaze me.
Very good activities and care of children. Very personal which is welcome. My child always looks forward to coming to nursery. I would definitely recommend.
Our son is really happy and content here at Bright Kids nursery. As parents we especially love online tapestry. It gives us a fab link between nursery and home of what our son is up to. It encourages him to talk to us in detail and he is so enthusiastic about how much I know through Tapestry about his day. Its nice to see our son being himself at nursery as he is at home, which to us says a lot about how content he is.
Lively but safe environment for my child to be in. Lots of opportunities for free play. Allowed to be energetic outside. My child absolutely loves it. Staff are firm but fair. Any issues are dealt with immediately. Lovely, positive atmosphere and the food is great too.

Meet the Team (3)

Paula joined Bright Kids in May 2020 and brings many years of experience in early years practice and leadership. Before moving to Crabbs Cross, she worked as Nursery Manager at Bright Kids Evesham, an Outstanding-rated nursery, and previously managed another Outstanding nursery for ten years.
She holds a Level 3 qualification in Childcare and a Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management. Her experience includes both nursery management and working directly with children across all early years age groups, giving her a strong understanding of what children, families and practitioners need to thrive.
She is particularly passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and ensuring every child feels understood, included and able to reach their full potential. She believes that strong relationships, consistent leadership and a nurturing environment are at the heart of high-quality early years care.

Lorraine has been part of the Bright Kids family for more than 27 years (when we first opened our Bright Kids Studley setting), beginning her career as a Nursery Assistant with a Childcare Diploma and progressing through a variety of roles into nursery leadership.
Over the years, she has continued to develop her knowledge and experience, achieving a Level 4 qualification in Early Years and a Level 5 qualification in Management. She also holds a designated senior leadership role within the nursery, helping to support the safety, wellbeing and development of the children and team.
Childcare has always been a true passion of Lorraine's. As a mum of two, she understands how important it is for families to know their children are cared for, encouraged and given every opportunity to develop at their own pace and reach their full potential.
She said: "One of the most special parts of working at Crabbs Cross for so many years has been watching generations of families grow with us. I have seen countless children thrive during their time at the nursery, and it is incredibly rewarding when some of those children return years later with children of their own. I feel very proud to be part of such a long-standing nursery community and to continue supporting our children, families and team each day."

Katie has been part of the Bright Kids team since 2014, beginning her early years career through an apprenticeship and steadily progressing through a variety of roles. Over the years, she has worked as a Room Leader, Senior Practitioner and Third in Charge before moving into her current position as Deputy Manager.
Before joining Bright Kids, she spent three years working as a private nanny, which gave her valuable experience of supporting children and families within their own homes.
She is passionate about continuing to develop as an early years leader and in August 2025, Katie completed her Early Years Leadership qualification.
She said, "I am excited to begin a new mastery course in September 2026 to further strengthen my knowledge and practice. I have a genuine passion for working with children and feel privileged to watch them grow in confidence, discover their interests and develop into their own unique characters. I believe every child deserves to feel known, valued and encouraged throughout their early years."
Outside of nursery, Katie is a mum of three and enjoys walking, swimming and spending quality time with her family and friends.
