The nursery spans two adjoining buildings, creating generous indoor spaces for babies, toddlers and preschool children. Each age group has an environment designed around the way they move, communicate, play and learn, while babies also benefit from their own dedicated garden.
Outside, the extensive grounds offer much more than one shared play area. Children can climb and test their abilities in the adventure space, spend time together in the friendship area, explore the Forest School-style environment, grow plants, build, dig and create. These different areas allow children to choose between energetic play, quiet investigation and shared projects with friends.
Inside, the Bright Kids approach is evident in the resources children are trusted to use. Real utensils, crockery, natural materials, fabrics and loose parts encourage them to recreate familiar experiences, invent new possibilities and discover how things work. A simple object might become part of a café, a building project, an investigation or a story created entirely by the children.
Practitioners build on these moments through conversation, observation and carefully timed questions. Rather than deciding every outcome, they help children extend an idea, develop new language, solve problems and grow in confidence.
Bright Kids Crabbs Cross provides care from six weeks to school age, alongside before-school, after-school and holiday club provision for older children. It is open from 7.30 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday, for 51 weeks of the year.
Nutritious hot meals are supplied, while the drive-through car park helps make drop-offs and collections easier (as well as a large car park opposite).

I can't recommend this nursery highly enough. The staff are incredibly kind, friendly, and supportive, and they genuinely care about every child in their care. They have been amazing in supporting my child's additional needs, always taking the time to understand them as an individual and ensuring they feel safe, happy, and included. Their patience, compassion, and dedication have made such a positive difference to our family, and it's wonderful to see how much my child has grown in confidence. The team always keeps us informed, listens to any concerns, and works closely with us to provide the best possible support. It's clear that every member of staff is passionate about what they do, creating a warm, welcoming, and nurturing environment where children can thrive.

The facilities and outside space are excellent, offering a safe and stimulating environment where children can play and explore. The learning activities are thoughtfully planned and support the children's development very well. The staff create a nurturing and professional atmosphere that provides reassurance to parents. My daughter started at this nursery when she was less than 12 months old. She has developed, grown and learned so many new skills, including speech and confidence with day-to-day activities, and Bright Kids Crabbs Cross has been a huge factor in this development! The way they have supported my daughter but also me, as a new, single mum, who has found many things difficult and overwhelming. Never a brush off or ignoring any obvious signs that I have also needed encouragement and support too. Always a kind word and a hug if needed! I cannot recommend a nursery more than this one. I will always be in debt to how much they have helped me and my daughter. The staff are just so lovely, the setting is beautiful and the way they are very into using natural products, not an abundance of plastics etc. Just everything you would ever want and need for your child's happiness and development. The place where you would feel so safe in the knowledge your child is looked after and treated amazingly!

I cannot thank all of the staff at Bright Kids Crabbs Cross enough. My son started nursery at 2 years old and has had a speech delay. My son has come on leaps and bounds and it's all down to the hard work, kindness and love he has received at Bright Kids. A special thanks to one member of staff, in particular, who has made it her goal to help my son achieve all of his SALT (speech and language therapists) targets which she has smashed.

My 1-year-old absolutely loves going to Bright Kids, he has so much fun in the day playing with all the toys and books. He is also fed really well with a wide variety of food with lots of fruit too and we all know how expensive fruit is. The daily diary is also great for seeing what and how much he has eaten, information about his nappies, how long he has napped for and the duration and how much milk he’s had at what times. After every week they also do a sum up of his weekly activities with pictures included which I always look forward to reading. Overall a really great nursery that I highly recommend.

My little boy has been attending this nursery for the last couple of years. The staff are kind, caring and professional, they obviously love the children in their care. I like the fact they also help with issues parents may have at home like picky eating or toileting issues. We always know we can email or mention things to staff if we are worried. In the past, communication wasn't great. However, it has improved a great deal recently and we are thankful for that. Some of the facilities are a little shabby but with lots of children playing that's understandable. The nursery has in the past been very flexible with our days if we've needed emergency child care provision they have accommodated us if they could. My little boy has made lots of friends who he talks about fondly, Including staff members which is lovely.
The staff should be paid more across the early year's sector they work long hours and have a huge responsibility.

Paula joined Bright Kids in May 2020 and brings many years of experience in early years practice and leadership. Before moving to Crabbs Cross, she worked as Nursery Manager at Bright Kids Evesham, an Outstanding-rated nursery, and previously managed another Outstanding nursery for ten years.
She holds a Level 3 qualification in Childcare and a Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management. Her experience includes both nursery management and working directly with children across all early years age groups, giving her a strong understanding of what children, families and practitioners need to thrive.
She is particularly passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and ensuring every child feels understood, included and able to reach their full potential. Lorraine has been part of the Bright Kids family for more than 27 years (when we first opened our Bright Kids Studley setting), beginning her career as a Nursery Assistant with a Childcare Diploma and progressing through a variety of roles into nursery leadership.
Over the years, she has continued to develop her knowledge and experience, achieving a Level 4 qualification in Early Years and a Level 5 qualification in Management. She also holds a designated senior leadership role within the nursery, helping to support the safety, wellbeing and development of the children and team.
Childcare has always been a true passion of Lorraine's. As a mum of two, she understands how important it is for families to know their children are cared for, encouraged and given every opportunity to develop at their own pace and reach their full potential.

Katie has been part of the Bright Kids team since 2014, beginning her early years career through an apprenticeship and steadily progressing through a variety of roles. Over the years, she has worked as a Room Leader, Senior Practitioner and Third in Charge before moving into her current position as Deputy Manager.
Before joining Bright Kids, she spent three years working as a private nanny, which gave her valuable experience of supporting children and families within their own homes.
She is passionate about continuing to develop as an early years leader and in August 2025, Katie completed her Early Years Leadership qualification.
She said, "I am excited to begin a new mastery course in September 2026 to further strengthen my knowledge and practice. I have a genuine passion for working with children and feel privileged to watch them grow in confidence, discover their interests and develop into their own unique characters.
