Bright Kids Crabbs Cross has grown alongside generations of local families since opening in the heart of Redditch in 2001.
The nursery spans two adjoining buildings, creating generous indoor spaces for babies, toddlers and preschool children. Each age group has an environment designed around the way they move, communicate, play and learn, while babies also benefit from their own dedicated garden.
Outside, the extensive grounds offer much more than one shared play...

As I have started working full time my son has been going to Bright Kids after school. The staff are so friendly and lovely, offering to help with reading and homework and collect him straight from school, even if he has after school club. It has a large outdoor space and loads for the children to do. I will be using Bright Kids in half-term holidays and as of next month breakfast club. Would highly recommend to anyone.
They encourage the children to read their school books and like them to go outside when possible.
Snacks are done differently where children don't have to sit, and the food and quantity are now not compromising a proper meal in the evening.
Good pull up and drive off system, but plenty of space in the car park opposite if needed.
We are very happy with the nursery. It's the best nursery in the region. All aspects are refined. Our daughter is excited every day when going to nursery.
Bright Kids at Crabbs Cross has been part of my son's life for two years and is amazing. My son has Autism spectrum disorder and his needs are met every session. He has his box labelled just for him and has had his sensory corner. Staff are fab. It is a clean and friendly environment and I will recommend to anyone.
Very welcoming, clearly very passionate about childcare. Our son always seems to have a great time, comes home very tired after a day of play, progressing very quickly with all the input he's receiving.
My daughter absolutely loves coming to nursery. Her development has come on leaps and bounds since starting. The range of activities is excellent and the outdoor area is wonderful.
Fantastic nursery. We have been with Bright Kids since 2016. They are always so friendly, helpful and listen to any concerns you have. They are always putting on relevant and fun activities for the children. Highly recommend Bright Kids.
Cannot fault the experience our son has at Bright Kids. Staff always keep us fully informed of his day. From what we have experienced of Bright Kids I cannot fault.
My daughter has progressed so much since being at the nursery. Every time I pick her up she has done a range of activities during the day and tells me about all the friends she has played with. My daughter loves all the staff and talks about the fun she has. I believe this shows the positive influence they all have on her and her progress. I would highly recommend Bright Kids and would not want her anywhere else.
The staff are excellent and genuinely take an interest and care for the children very well.
Management are always available if you ever have a query.
I would definitely recommend this nursery to others.
My child loves to go to nursery. He has many friends. Always when I come and pick him up I can see that he is playing and enjoying activities. He always ate his food and told me what he was doing. My child loves the members of staff. Everybody is kind. I feel that my child is safe in nursery and happy. I feel calm when I'm going to work because I know I leave him in good hands. Thank you Bright Kids at Crabbs Cross!
My son settled really quickly and loves coming each day. The staff are great with the children and really friendly. It's great to see him so happy!
Holiday club provision is also fantastic.
My son no longer attends nursery because he has started school this year. I was very happy with the nursery so much that my child now attends out of school club at nursery which he enjoys and I feel happy knowing he will be looked after well and knows the staff and some of the children who are still at nursery.
My daughter loves going to nursery and I never worry about leaving her there for the day. The nursery is flexible and accommodating to my shift pattern which is amazing and such a big help.
preschool is very reliable and safe;) safe environment for Kids would recommend to every parent I know.
My son is very happy and well looked after at the Afterschool club. The staff are great and the safety and wellbeing of the children is always prioritised. I would recommend this nursery :)
Very caring environment, my child loves it here. She loves being outside and it’s nice it’s incorporated into everyday play.
Our daughter loves going to nursery, she has such a great time. The care the staff give is wonderful. I wouldn't send my daughters anywhere else.
They care about children very well and they organise so many activities for them. You can see that they care about their well-being and the services they offer.

Paula joined Bright Kids in May 2020 and brings many years of experience in early years practice and leadership. Before moving to Crabbs Cross, she worked as Nursery Manager at Bright Kids Evesham, an Outstanding-rated nursery, and previously managed another Outstanding nursery for ten years.
She holds a Level 3 qualification in Childcare and a Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management. Her experience includes both nursery management and working directly with children across all early years age groups, giving her a strong understanding of what children, families and practitioners need to thrive.
She is particularly passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and ensuring every child feels understood, included and able to reach their full potential. She believes that strong relationships, consistent leadership and a nurturing environment are at the heart of high-quality early years care.

Lorraine has been part of the Bright Kids family for more than 27 years (when we first opened our Bright Kids Studley setting), beginning her career as a Nursery Assistant with a Childcare Diploma and progressing through a variety of roles into nursery leadership.
Over the years, she has continued to develop her knowledge and experience, achieving a Level 4 qualification in Early Years and a Level 5 qualification in Management. She also holds a designated senior leadership role within the nursery, helping to support the safety, wellbeing and development of the children and team.
Childcare has always been a true passion of Lorraine's. As a mum of two, she understands how important it is for families to know their children are cared for, encouraged and given every opportunity to develop at their own pace and reach their full potential.
She said: "One of the most special parts of working at Crabbs Cross for so many years has been watching generations of families grow with us. I have seen countless children thrive during their time at the nursery, and it is incredibly rewarding when some of those children return years later with children of their own. I feel very proud to be part of such a long-standing nursery community and to continue supporting our children, families and team each day."

Katie has been part of the Bright Kids team since 2014, beginning her early years career through an apprenticeship and steadily progressing through a variety of roles. Over the years, she has worked as a Room Leader, Senior Practitioner and Third in Charge before moving into her current position as Deputy Manager.
Before joining Bright Kids, she spent three years working as a private nanny, which gave her valuable experience of supporting children and families within their own homes.
She is passionate about continuing to develop as an early years leader and in August 2025, Katie completed her Early Years Leadership qualification.
She said, "I am excited to begin a new mastery course in September 2026 to further strengthen my knowledge and practice. I have a genuine passion for working with children and feel privileged to watch them grow in confidence, discover their interests and develop into their own unique characters. I believe every child deserves to feel known, valued and encouraged throughout their early years."
Outside of nursery, Katie is a mum of three and enjoys walking, swimming and spending quality time with her family and friends.
