First Steps is a lovely community and both of my children have been/are currently very happy here. Management is hands-on, all staff very approachable and helpful. They have a great gauge of reading children and noticing their tiny cues and their personalities emerging. It's a loving environment where children will blossom, giggle, learn and explore beautifully.
It's a good nursery, close to home and good staff.
My daughter absolutely loves going to nursery, she has bonded so well with all the staff who are always so friendly and helpful. They always take part in many different activities and she is so excited to tell me about her day when she gets home. My daughter's key workers always keep me informed about her progress which I couldn't be happier with. I wouldn't send my daughter to any other nursery and we will both miss Ashton Court First Steps when she starts school in September.
Ashton Court First Steps Childrens Nursery is a wonderful place, I feel happy knowing my daughter is cherished and taken care of, just like at home.
All staff are welcoming to both myself and my son. The whole nursery is nurturing and creates a homely environment for all children. My son has created close bonds and relationships with all members of staff and children throughout all age ranged classes. My son loves all the activities - especially singing and he is always bringing his experiences home to talk about.
My daughter is so confident and happy to come to the nursery. She is supported and learns how to interact appropriately with her peers. My daughter is beginning to show an interest with formal learning. Staff are supporting and encouraging my daughter's interests and helping emotional wellbeing during a period of transition.
The nursery is run extremely well and the manager is easy to approach and very hands-on.
The initial settling in period was tough. My husband would call to check up on our daughter four to five times a day, however, the staff were always really friendly and understanding which made it easier.
Our daughter's first key worker was wonderful - a true gem who always gave plenty of cuddles and attention which really helped her settle in.
Our daughter absolutely adores her current key worker - her current key worker has really taken the time to get to know our daughter as an individual and her development has flourished as a result of her personalised approach and expertise.
The nursery team post daily updates and photos on the ParentZone app which as a busy full-time working mum are great. They also post regular developmental observations which give insight into continuing her development at home.
I couldn’t be happier.
My child was having more than one nap a day, I would go to pick her up after work to find her asleep which then messed with her sleeping pattern at night. I was glad to get her out of this nursery and into a more professional nursery.
This nursery charges a very premium rate but if I was to rate them, they are very much below average. I would never recommend this nursery to anyone.
The nursery uses iConnect so I receive assessment reports, daily messages regarding meals, nappy changes and sleep. Which then frees up time for my child's Key-person/buddy to pass on WoW moments and personal achievements when I collect her each day.
Staff are very attentive and caring. My child gets bespoke care and attention. The indicators of being a great nursery is my child going to nursery happy and coming home happy and wanting to talk about it. Majority of the teachers have been there from early on in their careers and have successfully developed and continue to show great passion and enthusiasm for their vocation. You can clearly see it means something to them seeing their children grow and develop in a happy and caring environment. They work extremely hard. I just hope the nursery staff and management are looked after just the same, as I have been to many nurseries and you don't get the quality of care as you do here. To add, it's clean and vibrant and hygiene is of high standards. A testament to them, it's not used as a drop of centre, parents and staff do interact well with one another. I would definitely recommend.
We have always been really happy with the care at Ashton Court First Steps. Both of our daughters have been incredibly happy here and the staff have always been caring and excellent care providers offering support for any issues that might arise.
There are great teachers and your child will learn a lot from them and they are caring teachers and friendly students.
Fantastic staff that create a friendly, open and secure environment for my little boy. You feel like part of a big family. Staff were brilliant with my son's separation anxiety. Forest school is such a great idea
First steps nursery is a good nursery for my son and I'm pleased with the care they provide for my son. The nursery has provided all the needs for my son who has needs and they have demonstrated that they can cater for any child. this has made settled my mind and I'm always at peace when he is at nursery. Thank you.
My daughter enjoys her time at First Steps. It is so lovely at the end of the day to see her happy and full of stories from her day. The staff are great and really get to know the children. I know she is well looked after and I appreciate all the support and care they give my child.
I had no worries dropping them in the nursery and going to work in the morning!! both my children went to First Steps and loved it ... would recommend and have recommended to my friends. Lovely staff and friendly environment.
First Steps is an outstanding nursery. I have recommended first steps to friends family, I speak very highly of First Steps Childrens Nursery. However, since Co-op have taken over it is more of a business venture than a nursery. I know there have to be changes however I would have expected baby steps rather than giant ones. Eg invoices, newsletters. Co-op hasn't even introduced themselves properly.
I'm very happy with First Steps. My elder daughter came here for 3 years and I was happy to send my 2nd daughter here. She is very settled, responds well to the staff she has also developed her vocab skills.
I moved my son to First Steps after a bad experience with a local nursery. Both he and I were extremely nervous to go to new child care but we couldn't have been happier with the care that was provided. My little boy has really come out of himself after starting First Steps and has made some invaluable relationships along the way with both children and carers. There is always someone to answer the phone, pass on a message, or give you a smile. And there is always a hand to hold or a carer to cuddle at drop off time. I couldn't be happier with First Steps. I just wish we had found this sooner.
This is the best nursery if you want the best for your child, best staff and best management. My first daughter started school recently and already the teachers are impressed by her Thanks to this nursery staff for their hard work, I am happy my other daughter attends it too, best nursery in Wolves!!!
