Child 1st (Coleshill)

My son is 2 and started at the beginning of November. So far he is loving it. He can be shy and doesn’t really go to strangers. He has warmed up to the ladies in the toddler room so quickly and doesn’t want to leave at home time! He loves going to nursery. We viewed a few in the area and this is the one that caught our eye and made us feel welcome.

A lovely nursery setting. Our daughter (one) goes in happy and loves the staff. Initially, we had reservations about sending to a nursery, but she settled in quickly with the support of staff. The daily updates keep us well informed of her day.

I honestly can’t say enough how happy I am with Child 1st Coleshill. I was so apprehensive about sending my daughter to nursery after my maternity leave but I need not have worried. All the staff are so lovely and supportive and my daughter absolutely loves going. They are always doing lots of fun and educational activities and the food cooked by the chef is nice, varied and healthy. My daughter’s speech and physical development have come on so much since she started, nearly 1 year ago now. It’s just so comforting to know that when she is there she is happy and very well looked after.

I cannot say enough good things about this nursery! The staff are lovely and really care for the children. My daughter has attended for a year and a half and happily runs in. The food choices are healthy, varied and child friendly. The staff also engage the children in a great mix of activities which are fun and educational. Would highly recommend.

I was so worried when my son first started he was only nine months, but now he is thriving. He loves being there and loves all the girls. I feel he’s come on so much with his speech and overall development. I don’t worry at all now when he is there which is such a relief when you’re back at work. He will be going into toddlers in November and I know that they will be just as good in there. I’m really glad I chose this nursery!

Our little one started at 7 months. We were worried (as all parents are) but especially as she was quite little and hadn’t ever been looked after by anyone other than us. But the staff were really reassuring, plus she settled really well and loves going. She is 2 now. The staff are supportive of our wishes regarding stuff like diet, dummies and naps so there isn’t conflict between home and nursery. If something ever happens like a bumped head they ring and let me know right away which of course they don’t have to do but is comforting to feel in the loop! Now and again if she has a grumpy morning I drop a message on the app to check she has settled down and always get a reply promptly. Handover is good especially if we are keeping an eye on any issues between us like cough or constipation. Parent's evening is informal but lovely to see her pottering about where she spends so much of her time and to talk about how she’s developing, moving up to toddlers etc.

Both daughters have attended this nursery over the last 6 years and I wouldn't send them anywhere else. The staff have made them feel welcome, loved, and cared for at all times. They focus on social and personal development of the children whilst maintaining a safe and fun environment.

My 1-year-old has been attending this nursery for a few months. As a new parent, I was so nervous when my maternity leave came to an end, to leave my daughter at any nursery as we'd spent twelve solid months together 24/7. The staff were so understanding and patient, encouraging me to have as many settling sessions as required which really put me at ease. Fast forward to three months later and my daughter absolutely loves attending, even so that every morning she launches herself into the arms of the staff members who she has clearly established a good bond with. It is so lovely to see and keeps me calm knowing my daughter is well looked after while I'm at work. I find it especially handy having the app to keep updated with what she's eaten and drank throughout the day and I enjoy receiving the updates of activities, including photos. Really pleased I chose Child 1st as my daughter's nursery so thank you team for all you do.

My daughter has been going to Child 1st Day Nursery now since around June 2022 and I honestly couldn't wish for a better nursery. She never settled at the childminders so I was apprehensive about whether she would settle here also. But she absolutely loves being here, she runs in with open arms and I go to work every day knowing my daughter is looked after and loved and, best of all, she is happy here. They send updates throughout the day including photos and the app always shows what they have eaten/slept. I love Child 1st (Coleshill) and all the workers here. My daughter's key worker is brilliant.

Both my baby and toddler attend this nursery. Overall I would say I’m glad I send them as they always have such an amazing time. I feel my children have really developed with the support of the staff here. Both skip in every morning and always come out happy and tired from a busy day! The Famly app lets me see what they have been up to also which is great.

Great experience with a great nursery!

Child 1st Day Nursery has been a part of my life for many years. Starting with my firstborn over six years ago. So when I had my second child nine months ago, even though we actually live further away now, I still wanted him to go there. He was a true lockdown baby and I was really anxious about him going as he was so attached to me. He had a few wobbles in the first few weeks of settles but the baby room manager always reassured me that it was normal and he would be okay. Fast forward only two months and my son is like a different baby! He absolutely loves it! Smiles when he goes in and laughing when he comes out! I love the new app so I can check on what he is doing throughout the day and the direct message feature is fabulous! Every time I have messaged the baby room one of the girls has got back to me within the hour. I had also started a new job and needed some extra sessions (sometimes at extremely short notice) and the girls have done their absolute best to accommodate me and my son. Thank you!

Amazing standard of care given to the children. The staff are very caring and invested in the well-being of each child. I’ve had all my three kids go to this nursery and cannot recommend them highly enough. They are an asset to the community.

My daughter has attended this nursery for fifteen months and it is such a lovely nursery. The staff are lovely and my daughter has really bonded with them. She looks forward to going there and has really thrived. An excellent nursery.

Hello everyone, I want to share our experience with Child 1st (Coleshill) Day Nursery. We contact them regarding our bilingual, 3-year son. We have some feelings about him, not going to be ready being not English spoken as first language, but the Child 1st (Coleshill) show very high level of professionalism and manage to make him happy day after day, improve a lot for short period of time. We highly recommend to anyone and big thank you for all of the staff of Child 1st (Coleshill).

My son has been there for a couple of months now and I've been impressed with the communication from staff. He struggles at drop off but the team are always very warm and comforting. They also keep me updated with how he has settled so I don't spend the day worrying about him. I really appreciate this. We love seeing the photos of him and his little friends through the day and find the observations the team write help me to understand how he is doing and show me they are really getting to know him. Thank you team.

My daughter started preschool in April this year. All members of staff helped her settle in and within no time she was settled and happy. The staff are amazing they have been incredible with her and myself. I'm always updated on what she has done and hows she's been during the day.
