Both my children currently attend Child 1st Nursery in Coleshill. I have no qualms in recommending the nursery to anyone looking for a safe, friendly environment to send their child.
The development in confidence and ability of my daughter since she started is noticeable - people comment on her development exceeding others her age. The main reason I speak highly of the nursery is the staff - the ladies working there treat our children like their own and I feel very comfortable knowing that my children will be cared for - not just in the sense of nappies changed/fed and watered, but also their emotional well-being.

My son took a while to settle but the ladies did everything they could to help him feel comfortable and he has such a bond with his key worker and willingly puts his arms out to her when he's dropped off. He is also a nightmare to get to sleep and they take the extra time with him to settle him and he often naps better at nursery than at home! They are great.

I am with this nursery already for 5 years with my 2 boys and very happy they are there. This is great that you can afford to support 30 free hours.

Thanks!

My son has been going to Child 1st (Coleshill) for almost 2 years now (he is almost 3) and we have nothing but praise for them. The staff are excellent - friendly, polite and always willing to listen/help. Our son thoroughly enjoys his time there - he is looked after, educated/stimulated and well fed!

I would have no hesitation in recommending Child 1st (Coleshill) to anyone.

Where to begin. This nursery really is amazing. All the staff are friendly and welcoming.
My little boy started in September. He is very shy and takes a while to warm to others but after a good amount of settling in sessions, he has been great.
They do so much with the children and I feel so assured that there are four girls in my son's room so there's always someone to cuddle and reassure him ( he needs that a lot).
As a mum, I feel happy every time I walk out as they are always so positive and know exactly what he has done that day. There is no reading from a list, they know each individual child and there are not many nurseries around like it.
I couldn't have picked a better nursery for my son. Thank you girls, for making me feel at ease leaving him in your care. Fantastic!

I feel like in the few months of him being there they know him like we do and that means so much as a parent.

Child 1st is a fantastic warm and friendly nursery that helps babies and toddlers grow and develop. All the staff are committed to the children and help build safe and secure relationships. They go the extra mile with supporting and involving families in each part of the child's development. My little boy has been going since he was 14 months (now 3) and his confidence, skills, language and social skills are soaring. The development logs are a fantastic personal touch and heartwarming to receive.

The food is all home cooked, nutritional and 'yummy', I have no complaints from my son!

The nursery is clean and well equipped, homely, not clinical.

They host regular family activities throughout the year which gives a great chance for informal chats with the staff and opportunities to meet other parents.

I can't recommend the manager and her team highly enough. They care about each and every child and their family.

We travel 6 miles to this nursery as there is no other provision that compares in our area. After a terrible experience at his first nursery, I chose very carefully the next time. As soon as I visited Child 1st, I was blown away by the facilities, but most importantly the staff. My son settled in after a couple of days and he loves this nursery so much.

My son needed extra help with his speech and the nursery immediately put steps in place; Their SEN (SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS) provision is exemplary. My son has flourished at Child 1st and the nursery staff have helped so much.

He loves his weekly yoga, jo jingles sessions and the large outdoor space is amazing. The sensory room and tumble room was another favourite of his!

Most importantly, the staff care and show genuine affection for the children. They are always happy and give a detailed handover. My son gets plenty of attention and cuddles.

Above all, I leave him at this nursery, confident that he is in good hands and he will enjoy his day.

Since starting nursery in September 2016 my daughter has made fantastic progress in all areas and always spends time talking all about her friends and experiences at nursery. I am always surprised with the new skills she is learning. After a special week with 'her group' she amazed her grandparents by naming all the planets in the solar system!

She loves all of the extra activities nursery offers, especially French and Yoga and often demonstrates her new skills to family members. We feel that the nursery has given her a fantastic start and put her in a brilliant position ready to begin a new adventure at school in September.

Having some medical issues, we were unsure about putting her into nursery, but they have been fantastic at meeting all of her needs and letting us know of any illnesses doing the rounds so we can take action appropriately.

Having looked around many nurseries for our 10-month-old, we are certain we could not have chosen a better nursery for her. Since day one we have seen massive developments in all areas. They provide many stimulating activities on a daily basis, both in and outdoors, supporting all aspects of development. The staff at Child 1st are so competent that we both feel so confident in leaving our precious girl (something that was a big struggle for my partner)
The staff not only supported our little girls transition into nursery but also ourselves in leaving her, giving us detailed handovers and phone calls throughout the day to reassure us. This level of standard has continued throughout. The management and organisation of the nursery is of very high standard ensuring that the children's needs are the priority and always met.

We as parents feel that there is no other nursery we would want our little girl to attend and can not thank all the staff enough for everything they do.

Since attending the nursery from ten months old, my son has progressed well in all developmental areas. The activities planned are varied, stimulating and planned effectively to meet the needs of my children. Good use is made of both indoor and outdoor learning environments. Staff are friendly, welcoming and approachable. Nothing is ever too much trouble for staff when they are spoken to. My son is excited to go to the nursery which is a result of the environment created within this educational setting. My daughter has recently started at 10 months old and staff go out of their way to make her feel welcome and settle her effectively into her new setting.
