Busy Bees Birmingham Kings Heath is a wonderfully warm, homely atmosphere and lots of facilities for children to enjoy.

Having gained 'outstanding' from Ofsted in 2017, the teaching and learning of children are prompted through each child's key interest to meet developing needs and push to achieve the next step.

   development. Children enjoy delicious meals prepared by the onsite chef
   from menus that have been NHS accredited.

My daughter really enjoys her time at nursery and will share with us what she has done during the day. My only query was the additional classes such as footie bugs and Spanish, how come they are not included in the daily fees?

Staff are always very welcoming and always happy. Staff always have the time to speak to you and make you feel happy. My little boy loves going to nursery and always happy when I collect him. Always positive and reassuring.

My son has attended Treetops Sunny Corner since his first birthday. I was very worried about him settling in as he had been a very unsettled baby. I needn't have worried and wish I had tried nursery sooner. What a change. He settled in quickly and loves his days playing with his friends and carers.
Since being at nursery he has come on leaps and bounds and it is evident that the care and attention he receives at nursery has played a big part. It really is his home from home and it is such a relief after having visited other nurseries prior to finding a place I am comfortable and happy to leave my son at. Even on his grisly teething days! I would highly recommend Sunny Corner.

My daughter started Treetops Sunny Corner recently. She has settled in really well the staff have been great with her and made sure she is happy and well cared for. She comes home full of smiles every day.

We can't thank the ladies in this nursery enough from nursery workers to management all have been fantastic. Our little boy has taken a little longer than usual to settle in and they were always helpful during this hard period. I rate this nursery excellent and I am so glad we chose it for our little
boy.

Staff are lovely, kind and compassionate women who clearly love their job and the children love them. I'd like a closer eye kept on them at meal times as I'm told my child has eaten all of his tea but he will tell me that he only ate the pitta bread with no fillings or no pudding. Also, on a couple
of occasions when picking him up, his nose is streaming down his face and he'd had an accident (wee) and not been changed - but as soon as I brought it to the staff's attention, they changed him straight away.

Fantastic nursery, good record keeping and use of incident forms, good communication and safety. My daughter has progressed well through their class groups and they have a well thought out layout to their rooms.
They nurture the individual child's needs well and have great food choices taking into
account my child's dietary needs. Friendly staff, well priced for the quality of their service. My daughter loves it there and they obviously take seriously the safeguarding of the children.

Our grandson has attended the nursery from 10 months and he is now 2 and a half years old. He loves to go every morning and he feels safe and happy. The care he receives is excellent and the progress he is making is wonderful.
The staff respond very well to the individual needs of the children and
keep us well informed each day. The nursery provides a high level of stimulation and prepares the children well for school. We can always speak to one of the senior staff at short notice and they listen and respond appropriately.

A very good nursery, both our kids have been really happy there. Good catering for vegetarians. Very approachable, caring staff. Management overall is good but can be slightly disorganised - however, we have always managed to rectify any problems or misunderstandings. Fees are quite high! with frequent
price hikes.. I wonder how poorer families afford it?

Continued hard work and dedication towards my son's development. Clear boundaries set and it is visible in my son's constant behaviour as well as his continued understanding of right and wrong.


My son's development and progress is clearly tracked alongside clear next steps which are communicated

with me. The EYFS is clearly followed and the progress of my son is clear. Communication within the nursery and for parents is excellent! Cannot fault the nursery.

My daughter has been attending for three years. In the whole three years, the staff and management have been some of the nicest people I have ever met. They have been accommodating, understanding, helpful and always full of high spirits that even on the dullest days has been infectious. They have helped
my daughter come on leaps and bounds with her confidence levels. A massive thank-you to everyone for such an enjoyable experience well done on graduation day too!

In April 2016 I returned to work after having 9 months off after giving birth to my second beautiful boy. Both of my boys now attend Sunny Corner Nursery the care and love the staff show my boys is wonderful to see, as many parents can relate, leaving your children is extremely difficult. My eldest
thrives in the amazing outdoor space and comes home talking about his new and exciting experiences. My youngest has settled in beautifully making me a happy working mummy.

The nursery is fantastic. They have different rooms depending on your child's age and needs. The staff have all been very good, they are very professional and really do give their best for the children. It's a wonderful setup and very well done.

My daughter has settled in well to nursery. The staff are lovely with her and she gets lots of opportunities to play outside and have messy play time. The menu is varied and caters for her needs as a vegetarian. Her key worker changes regularly but this doesn't seem to cause a problem as all the staff
seem to know her well.

My daughter has just left Sunny Corner after three years and she will miss it terribly. The Clever Crocs were treated to an absolutely fabulous graduation expertly hosted by the Manager and the Deputy. Every child was made to feel special with their own cap and gown parade followed by a brilliant party
with an excellent children's entertainer, who entertained adults and children alike for over two hours. My daughter has made great friends here and could not wait to go to nursery every day to see her favourite staff who were always helpful, friendly and above all caring. The new improvements will freshen up the facilities. It is important to see where money is spent and the activity garden has been greatly improved over the last year. My daughter has many happy memories and the graduation party really was the icing on the cake.

Job Title: Centre Director

I’m Maria Shahid and I am the Centre Director here at Birmingham Kings Heath. 
Having completed a BA Hons in Early Childhood Studies, I have always prioritised ensuring every child gets the very best start in life.
Throughout my career, I have worked at a range of Early Years Education settings and thrive to work with the team, families and children to achieve outstanding outcomes for all.
I have a genuine passion for exciting, enabling, environments and will often be found exploring these with our children extending their learning and creating awe and wonder in moments of brilliance. 
Being a parent myself, I am fortunate enough to be able to see through the eyes of a parent and educator which pushes me even more to ensure that the curriculum we deliver takes everybody on a journey to reach their maximum potential. 
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my two-year-old son, who is thriving at Busy Bees with me.
I look forward to meeting you all and welcoming you into our family.
