Busy Bees Birmingham Kings Heath is a wonderfully warm, homely atmosphere and lots of facilities for children to enjoy.

Having gained 'outstanding' from Ofsted in 2017, the teaching and learning of children are prompted through each child's key interest to meet developing needs and push to achieve the next step.

My daughter has completed over two months of nursery. Even though she is only part time the difference in her development since she started nursery has been remarkable.
She is happy and safe and that is what is most important to us as parents.


I do hope her eating improves and the staff have been

very supportive regarding this.


All in all we are happy with our experience. Thank you for your good work

When my child started first I found it very difficult but as weeks went she has settled in quite well. She has started to read books and started to do the nursery rhymes on her own. The staff are wonderful. They have ease my mind while she's at nursery knowing that she's been looked after well

As my son is my first child everything was brand new to me. I'm very grateful for the support that staff offer and reassurance they provide. My son has speech delay and the nursery have been very efficient in supporting my son where he needs it.

I cannot speak more highly of Busy bees Haunch lane. The staff are kind and always go above and beyond to ensure the happiness and progress of my child. My child is happy and always so confident. They do so many activities and she has learned so much and has made friends for life. It means so much to
me as my child has gained so much confidence since starting, a testament to the staff and their dedication.
They do a lot of outside play and they also get a lot of optional additional classes like tennis and Spanish. Good options for food and snacks.

We absolutely love Busy Bees Birmingham Kings Heath - we have two boys there, and have used them since 2022. The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful, and always go above and beyond to make us feel welcome and supported. It's clear how much they genuinely care about the children, and we feel so confident
sending our little ones here every day.
This year's nativity performance was an absolute joy! It was so well-organized, and you could see how much effort the team put into making it a special event for the children and their families. Watching the kids perform with such excitement and confidence was truly heartwarming, and we're so grateful to have been part of it.

The mananger and the team are excellent. They all know and understand the children as individuals and care with real love. The extra things they do for the children are all really appreciated, whether it's shows, stay and plays or charity events. It feels like a real community.

The nursery educators did a wonderful job rehearsing with the children over the last weeks, to perform the nativity Christmas show, on 13th December 2024. I was proud and joyful to see my son singing his lines and acting during the show. Educators were friendly and helpful, as always, to make me feel
comfortable on my arrival at the venue. They also helped the children take this as a big celebration rather than a strict, stressful theatrical performance. The venue was value for money for the size of performance, hence it was a good choice. I would recommend Busy Bees Birmingham Kings Heath to other parents, as educators are friendly and they give big focus to each child for its development, health and well being.

The staff here go above and beyond, since my little one started the nursery he has come on so much and I am so happy I chose this nursery. Every activity, and every event is so well organised, enjoyable, thoughtful, creative and you can see how much hard work has gone into these things. I feel involved
everyday with his day, with the updates, photos etc and it makes leaving him to work stress free knowing that he is happy.

Busy Bees Birmingham Kings Heath staff were so friendly and welcoming for the preschool nativity last week. They had clearly put so much effort into planning the event and also helping the children to learn the songs and the actions. They supported the children through the concert and we loved seeing
our son performing. The nursery have gone above and beyond organising fun Christmas related activities too which is lovely. Thanks so much!

It was the greatest afternoon of the year for me to see my daughter perform in front of almost 100 adults that were in the room! Her confidence was great and her singing was outstanding! This to me has been one of the highlights of my life! I suddenly felt that the fees I'm paying to the nursery were
worthwhile. It was my daughter's first nativity and I couldn't have been more proud of her! Thank you to all the staff that put this together!

Can't recommend Busy Bees Birmingham Kings Heath enough. My son was there from 12 months old until August 2024. He has always been very happy here.
The nursery during our time with them went into 'requires improvement', to which this was communicating with all parents and transparency about why was
shared. I have had no concerns with the level of care, communication, kindness and commitment the nursery has shown.
The nursery is now rightly (in my opinion) back to 'good', and I hope one day 'outstanding'. They deserve it. The staff work hard and genuinely care about the children. The bonds are lovely to see. Which leads to a happy, caring and easy/open to learn environment.
I wouldn't hesitate to and have recommended to many friends and colleagues about Busy Bees Kings Heath. I am grateful for the start they gave to my son.

I could not be more pleased with the standard of this nursery. My son has been going here for a good few months now and they have made him feel so welcome from the very start; he genuinely enjoys going. The activities they get the children involved in are always creative, and educational and staff do
their best to personalise activities to suit the interest of the children. I’m constantly updated with what is going on in the nursery, on a daily basis. The food they serve is all nutritional and encourages a varied diet. There’s nowhere else I’d rather send my child.

My little girl attended Busy Bees for nearly 3 years and she couldn’t have been happier. The staff go the extra mile to make sure the children feel loved and safe at nursery. She’s learnt so much over the years and they really prepared her for reception. We also loved all the extra sessions you could

I'm very happy with this nursery. The staff offer a friendly, caring approach to looking after my son. The daily activities help to develop my son's learning as well as lots of free playtime. My son is always happy to be dropped off. Special thanks to my son's teachers. My son will miss you so much.

My son has been at Busy Bees for over a year now and it has been a great experience for us both. The staff are lovely and really take care of him, providing him with a great range of activities and lots of cuddles when he needs them. I also really appreciate the handy communication via the app so I
know how he is doing when he is there and the flexibility should I need extra sessions.

Job Title: Centre Director

I’m Maria Shahid and I am the Centre Director here at Birmingham Kings Heath. 
Having completed a BA Hons in Early Childhood Studies, I have always prioritised ensuring every child gets the very best start in life.
Throughout my career, I have worked at a range of Early Years Education settings and thrive to work with the team, families and children to achieve outstanding outcomes for all.
I have a genuine passion for exciting, enabling, environments and will often be found exploring these with our children extending their learning and creating awe and wonder in moments of brilliance. 
Being a parent myself, I am fortunate enough to be able to see through the eyes of a parent and educator which pushes me even more to ensure that the curriculum we deliver takes everybody on a journey to reach their maximum potential. 
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my two-year-old son, who is thriving at Busy Bees with me.
I look forward to meeting you all and welcoming you into our family.
