The Nest Nursery Copper Beech

Overall, our time at The Nest has been amazing; we are sad to be moving to a different nursery and would recommend The Nest as a great day nursery.

Our daughter has attended The Nest for over two years. We wanted a smaller, homely environment where the emphasis was on having fun during her nursery years. We have been very happy with the care and love she has received from the staff since the very beginning, and she has thrived. She is encouraged to be curious and independent at The Nest and she has developed practical skills way beyond what we would have thought her capable of at such a young age. Our daughter has developed deep and meaningful friendships with other children through their time at The Nest which are nurtured by the staff. The staff work so hard to really get to know the children as individuals and the environment is very homely including family photographs (of each child with their families) on the walls and natural resources and shared mealtimes. The outside space encourages curiosity and the activities are all child-led and fun, from ‘sing and sign’ to making playdoh from scratch daily, to baking and so on!

We are so glad we have chosen The Nest, we couldn’t wish for our boy to be anywhere better.

My daughter started at this nursery at the beginning of February and absolutely loves it! She settled in straight away without trouble and is always happy to go in and play when we drop her off. She has thrived since being here and learned so much, such as some new words, her eating and drinking skills have improved massively, and she’s learned how to crawl, cruise and climb safely. They spend so much time outside in the fresh air playing, as well as doing messy play which she loves, reading and singing. The staff are so friendly and care for the children so well that I have no anxiety about her safety and happiness while in their care. I’m so thrilled I chose this nursery for her as it was an instant fit and we’ve had nothing but success, happiness and improvement!

A wonderful nursery with such a homely feel. The nursery staff have worked so hard with attention to detail to create a home from home setting for the children. I am so happy we found The Nest Nursery for our little boy! He loves attending and to see him go running in so confidently is ever so comforting to us as parents. The staff are lovely and really invest time to create a fun learning environment. Thank you again to all of the staff at the Nest who have made this transition so easy for us as parents and our little boy!

My son has been attending this nursery for a year now and I am so so happy I chose this nursery for the start of his early education. He has flourished in his speech and is so much more interested in playing since. He is always happy and smiling when I pick up and I can see the staff are amazing always greeting with a smile and very easy to talk to too you can see they are all very invested in the children. I highly recommend this nursery to any parent for its beautiful environment and the quality of care is amazing.

It is wonderful to see how our grandson enjoys his nursery. The Nest Nursery Copper Beech is such a lovely environment for children, with great staff who are there to offer gentle encouragement and activities, and he is developing so well. I love being able to see photos, videos and read observations on the Tapestry app, giving me a special insight into his time there. By all accounts, he loves the food too! Thanks to you all for looking after our grandson so well.

It's so lovely to see her so happy to go to any of the team in the morning. The Nest Nursery Copper Beech is a fantastic nursery, staff are wonderful and it's a place I'm happy to involve in my child's early years. I think the environment and activities available are appropriate - and there are no TVs etc, with the staff engaging in learning activities with the children. Really pleased we found The Nest.

Started in September and my little one is happy to leave my side when we arrive here. Love this nursery and its curiosity approach to learning. British sign language is also taught to the little ones and this makes me very happy and impressed.

The Nest Nursery Copper Beech truly is a home-from-home. My little girl has blossomed so much since May 2022. I cannot thank all the staff enough and we are so excited for what the next year will bring. From the moment I viewed the nursery and met the manager, I knew it was perfect for my daughter. She is an outdoor lover, very curious and an independent little explorer. Everything the Copper Beech promotes in children. I drop my daughter off with a smile on her face and pick her up so excited because she's had the best day at nursery. The staff are so kind, caring and considerate, access to the parents' app is an amazing touch. Being able to physically see what activities my daughter's been up to and having frequent child focus weeks is a good way to keep on track of individual child development. There are only pros to the Copper Beech, I am so proud of your outstanding Ofsted report, as a parent, because it's a true reflection of everything you have to offer. Thank you all at Copper Beech.

Our daughter started at Copper Beech in June when she had just turned six months old. We visited a few nurseries but as soon as we walked through the doors here, we knew this was the one! The bright, airy rooms, natural resources and homely feel absolutely blew us away. I’m breastfeeding but was prepared to make the switch to formula for ease. However, Becky kindly informed me that there was no need and that they were happy to continue to give breast milk if I wanted to express. I could have cried! I’ve felt fully supported and now that we’re beginning to wean, the staff have been amazing with following our lead with food as well. Knowing everything is included (nappies etc) is also a huge bonus! Our daughter is a bit of a velcro baby so it’s a relief to know that the cuddles and carrying continue at nursery as well, though we are starting to see her become more independent. We have no doubt that she is well cared for and can’t wait to watch her progress here.

The nursery is exactly what me and my wife were looking for for our child. They are that good we are sending our second child here too! Staff are amazing and very informative when I pick up my daughter. They have an excellent app that shows what the children are doing during the day. They also have an outdoor forest school which my daughter really enjoys. This nursery is highly recommended!

The Nest Nursery Copper Beech is a truly fabulous nursery and a home from home for our whole family. We have watched our daughter flourish and grow there over the past few years and it has been an absolute pleasure to do so. She is cared for and supported there by knowledgable, nurturing and attentive teachers who encourage her to be herself and no one else. She recently had an injury which limited her mobility for a few weeks. Most nurseries may have struggled to cope with this but at The Nest Copper Beech they thrived when presented with this challenge. They found inventive and creative ways to allow her to still be the curious and independent child that she is. They understood how important nursery is to her and that it was important for her to be there. We could not be more grateful to them for this especially. Our second daughter will be joining The Nest Nursery Copper Beech next year too and we know that she will be in the very best nursery possible.

My daughter has been at this nursery since 2019 and leaves very soon. Our experience with The Nest Nursery Copper Beech has been nothing but brilliant, the communication, the activities and the interaction with the children is exactly what a parent would want for their child/children. The staff are brilliant and I trust that my daughter is cared for and I would highly recommend this nursery.

My daughter has been attending The Nest Nursery Copper Beech since just before Christmas and I could not be happier with this Nursery. She was very shy and cautious around other people before she joined and since attending nursery she has grown so much more confident. The environment is beautiful, we fell in love with it straight away and love how natural all the resources are that they use. My daughter adores the outdoor space and it has helped her grow her curiosity of the outdoors. The staff are all wonderful and super supportive. They use tapestry to keep parents up to date with what is happening in nursery and also to offer extra support and information. We love seeing photos on tapestry of what she has been up to each week. We are so happy that we found The Nest, it really is a home from home for our daughter.

My son has attended the Nest Nursery since he was one year of age and has absolutely loved his time there. It’s clear that he has felt so comfortable and at home and it’s lovely to see how at ease he has been. The staff are so kind and caring and work really hard to create a welcoming ‘home from home’. They are brilliant at creating engaging environments and have always followed my son’s interests. When they found out he loves the Superworm and Stickman stories, staff helped him to look for worms in the garden and supported him to make his very own Stickman with sticks and leaves which he loved! We have recently moved to a new area so have sadly had to transfer my son to a new nursery but if we could have taken the Nest Nursery with us we would have done! It really is a brilliant place and I can’t speak more highly of it!

I cannot recommend The Nest at Copper Beech enough. My daughter loves her key worker and the team, who encourage her interests and have helped her to thrive over the last 9 months. The staff are welcoming, sensible and calm, and I love that they spend so much time playing outside.

My son has been attending the Nest nursery for 3.5 years and I’m sure he will be sad to leave when he goes to school this year. He settled in really well when he initially started in the babies room, the staff were always very attentive and reassuring. The play set-ups were brilliant and really helped him develop his speech and imagination. He was always happy to go into nursery which was a relief too. When he moved to the older room upstairs, he settled in quickly and adapted to the change really well, the staff were very attentive at giving us feedback on how he was getting on. We feel the nursery offers a really welcoming environment and we love the variety of play equipment that is offered and the fact it really develops the children's imaginations. The food is always varied and our son eats really well whilst he is there. The garden space is a lovely and lots of time is spent out there. We also love that our son can attend Forest school on a rota system, he loves it!
