Co-op Childcare Walcot love to get the best from each child as with lots of experienced practitioners, they help every child to grow and learn in the best way for them. They support families too with parent focus groups and stay and play sessions.

Their nursery team are big on safety which is why ALL their staff are paediatric first aid trained. They also hold the green flag status in the prestigious Green Flag Eco-schools programme which sees children lead the way in making little changes that deliver a big environmental difference.

They use their 5 Little Pioneers to help share their core values with their children from encouraging them to be independent to making a difference in the world. They are big on happy children so they have regular visits to local care homes, areas for growing food (and eating it) and take care of each other and the world.

They have a ParentZone app which keeps mums and dads informed about life at nursery with things like photos from their day, assessments, meals eaten and even toilet training progress!

At Co-op Childcare Walcot there are four home rooms split into the following age groups: nought to one-year-olds, one to two-year-olds, two to three-year-olds and three to five-year-olds. The nursery has a large back garden which has a variety of play surfaces from grass to soft play tarmac.

All 3 of my children have attended Walcot Co-operative nursery since 2011 and I wouldn't send them anywhere else! The staff are fantastic, friendly and approachable, the communication with parents is brilliant and my children have all loved attending.

My son has been at this Nursery for almost a year now and has come a long way! Every single member of staff is warm and welcoming and he has become attached to them as they are nurturing and supportive. They provide a stimulating and rich environment within the classroom and gardens through which the
children engage in learning through play. My son had learnt many new skills from counting to being a kind friend, I feel very relaxed when he is there as I know he is in good hands. He always has lots to say about the different activities he has done throughout the day and about his great friends!

Choosing a nursery seems to be daunting work. I am worried about my daughter of not being able to adapt herself with her new surroundings. What is worse, she got so used to staying at home and looked after by my husband while I attended college or attend work. When my daughter finally registered and
ready to go, her settling in days did not seem promising as she was quite overwhelmed by the change. However, the whole team (including the manager) at Walcot were very supportive. They know exactly what I am going through and always there to give a helping hand (or hands!). Slowly, I began to see the change in my daughter. She is much happier and always have a tummy full when I collect her after college. The staff have always kept me up to date with her progress and I am particularly happy when they said " she had a good day or a brilliant day." What more can a mummy ask. I am deeply grateful for their help for my daughter and me personally. I could not thank you enough and am glad I chose this nursery.

Staff are amazing with him, especially if he became a bit upset in the morning when I have to leave, they will always distract him and get him involved with feeding the pet fishes or take him to the hamster in the older children's room that he also loves.


So pleased with the way my son is learning

new skills while at nursery, always so glad to see the smile on his face when myself or a family member picks him up, it shows that he had a lovely session. I can't thank the staff enough for their support. We are always kept up to date with what he's done throughout his session too.

My son has been attending the nursery for eighteen months now and loves it. Now he's able to talk more he's always chatting about the team and his friends, which makes me feel sure he's having a great time when attending.
The team have helped my son through some difficult times with his eating when
he went through a 'fussy' stage and now we're out the other side of it. I know it would have been a lot harder without the support of the nursery team and his key person.
My son has recently moved to the 2-3's room and the transition was hard to start with, however, his new key person and the room manager did a great job of helping him to settle and keeping me informed about his progress during this period. He's now fully settled again and seems to love it more than ever.
I feel secure in the knowledge that my son is happy at nursery and really cared for in a professional but loving way. Really chuffed to have such a great nursery for my son to experience within his early years.

Our son has been going here for about a year.
The nursery is excellent all round and cannot be faulted.
The staff are some of the most dedicated people that I have ever met.
There is an excellent schedule of activities to do and everyone seems really happy (staff and children).

Overall, my experience has been really good with the crèche. My daughter's always happy going into crèche, excited and is always happy when I come to collect her.


The crèche is always clean and the staff are always happy, enthusiastic and helpful.


I like that they do a three-week rota for the

dinners, giving them a variety of foods and all the meals are healthy and provide a well-balanced diet.

My basic opinion of this nursery is as follows.
All 3 of my children have come here from a very early age. The development programme they have here is second to none.


All the staff are very professional and good all round. The bonds they make with the children are unbreakable. I would highly recommend

this nursery to anyone and will miss the atmosphere when my last one leaves.

The Co-operative Childcare has brought out my daughter's confidence. She loves attending to see her friends but her favourite bit is seeing the staff who look after her. She talks about seeing them all the time which speaks for itself! I'm very happy with the care she receives, everyone is so lovely
and I needn't worry how she is doing when I'm at work.

I am very happy with the support from the nursery. All the ladies are so amazing with the kids. My child has been at the nursery for a year and she has developed exceptionally. I am amazed at her progress and how well she is with everyone. They are very good with me as a parent, make me feel welcome
and very happy to leave my child with them. A great nursery. I would 100% recommend the nursery.

My little boy has been going to this nursery for 6 months now and is really happy there. The staff are friendly, the facilities are good, the rooms bright and airy. There is great outdoor space and they do lots of activities with the children. Meals are cooked on site and the menu is varied and sounds
delicious! The nursery also has some pets - my son adores the Guinea Pigs! I get a daily summary of his day and the staff are caring and supportive.


I also like that they have some events to engage the whole family - we went to an Easter fun day last month which we all enjoyed.


We're really happy with this nursery and I can only think of positive things to say about it!
