Co-op Childcare Walcot love to get the best from each child as with lots of experienced practitioners, they help every child to grow and learn in the best way for them. They support families too with parent focus groups and stay and play sessions.

Their nursery team are big on safety which is why ALL their staff are paediatric first aid trained. They also hold the green flag status in the prestigious Green Flag Eco-schools programme which sees children lead the way in making little changes that deliver a big environmental difference.

They use their 5 Little Pioneers to help share their core values with their children from encouraging them to be independent to making a difference in the world. They are big on happy children so they have regular visits to local care homes, areas for growing food (and eating it) and take care of each other and the world.

They have a ParentZone app which keeps mums and dads informed about life at nursery with things like photos from their day, assessments, meals eaten and even toilet training progress!

At Co-op Childcare Walcot there are four home rooms split into the following age groups: nought to one-year-olds, one to two-year-olds, two to three-year-olds and three to five-year-olds. The nursery has a large back garden which has a variety of play surfaces from grass to soft play tarmac.

The staff are fantastic, very caring and considerate. The atmosphere is lovely and very welcoming. There is such a varied range of activities for the children. My son loves going to nursery and has done so since his first day. There is also a very good and varied diet for the children. It's very important
to feel your child is in good hands when they're not with you and I know that is the case when he is at the nursery. I have recommended this nursery several times when I have got talking to people.

My daughter loves her days at nursery and has learnt so much in the past 4 months already. The staff fill me with complete confidence in their abilities and always provide a full report at the end of the day. The nursery has been really accommodating with my request for my daughter to have a no sugar
diet (baking specifically to her needs) and I do not hesitate in recommending them to family and friends.

Staff are always helpful and sympathetic to a child's needs. Our first daughter went to nursery here and we had no hesitation that our second daughter would also be happy there. There is always so much for them to do and get involved in. As a working parent, it is so important to feel happy in the knowledge
that your child is learning and having fun at the same time with staff who genuinely care about the children.

My child has been at the nursery for almost for years and our experience throughout this time has been excellent. Every morning when he comes in all of the staff from every department acknowledges and welcomes him. He comes home full of stories of what he had done and the diverse range of friends he
has been playing with.


His development in all areas has unquestionably been influenced by the exceptional support he receives from all of the team and the interaction he has with all of the other children, this is evident in his relationships and interactions with adults and children inside and outside of the nursery.


The range of activities available to him is extensive and clearly engaging, he looks forward to going each day and is always proud and excited to show off his achievements.


I can't recommend this nursery highly enough and no words could truly do it and the team sufficient justice.

My son is a very active child and they do excellent work with the children. A childminder is a lot cheaper but I refuse to leave this nursery due to how good they are. Very impressed with them :) my son loves it. When I pick him he looks at me smiles and carry on playing. These are signs my child is
happy there.

Very helpful, well trained and caring staff with a genuine interest in children, their wellbeing and education. My son started nursery 2.5 years old. He had speech and language delay and communication problems associated with ASD. They supported us with his needs extremely well, working on his speech
therapy targets, ABA targets and making sure he has a smooth transition to school last September. I would definitely recommend this nursery.

My daughter has an excellent time there and looks forward to sessions. They have been flexible allowing me to adjust hours reasonably around my changed work hours. My little girl started at the nursery in December 16. She was very shy and wouldn't interact with other children her age before. Since being at the nursery she has made so much progress. Her interaction with others is unbelievable now compared to 2 months ago. She has learnt many new things and she
loves going. The nursery staff are amazing. I feel confident leaving her there for a full day session knowing she is fed and cared for well.

The CO-OP has provided my son with the most comfortable learning experience in a safe and loving environment. The staff are exceptional and very well equipped with handling children. As a mother, what has touched me most is the interest that the staff has shown my son, every time he has shown progress.
I was given photographs and daily reports to communicate even the smallest progress to me. I am grateful to the CO-OP for providing us with this very positive experience.

My son has been attending the nursery for 6 months, he seems happy to go into the setting, giving lots of smiles to practitioners, who greet him warmly. The feedback is detailed, my son seems busy and happy when I arrive to collect him.


Recently my mother-in-law had to collect my son, due to myself

being at work and my husband being involved in an accident on his way to nursery. The team impressed me with the help and support they offered to my mother-in-law, she was obviously shaken after the news of my husband being in an accident and they helped her with the car seat, gave her spare nappies and a bottle to take away with her, so she was able to care for my son until I was able to collect him.


With their guidance and thoughtfulness my son was able to be changed and have his bedtime milk, keeping him in his evening routine, resulting in a calm mother-in-law and a content son. Thank you to the team for going that extra mile and beyond every day, especially in our time of need.

Very pleased with the security process when I have had to ask different family members to pick my daughter up. I was told the nursery was thorough when asking questions about who they were and when they asked for my password.

Walcot Co-operative Childcare is a first-rate nursery providing quality care and excellent nutrition. The staff are caring and compassionate towards the children, celebrating their milestones and achievements and encouraging each child to be an individual.

After my 3 year old son was diagnosed with cancer in November last year, this nursery have been fantastic with my son. They could not be more supportive and understanding if they tried. I feel that both me and my son have almost gained another family due to his treatment but when he does they always
include him in everything and he is never isolated from anything even with his condition.
