Co-op Childcare Walcot love to get the best from each child as with lots of experienced practitioners, they help every child to grow and learn in the best way for them. They support families too with parent focus groups and stay and play sessions.

Their nursery team are big on safety which is why ALL their staff are paediatric first aid trained. They also hold the green flag status in the prestigious Green Flag Eco-schools programme which sees children lead the way in making little changes that deliver a big environmental difference.

They use their 5 Little Pioneers to help share their core values with their children from encouraging them to be independent to making a difference in the world. They are big on happy children so they have regular visits to local care homes, areas for growing food (and eating it) and take care of each other and the world.

They have a ParentZone app which keeps mums and dads informed about life at nursery with things like photos from their day, assessments, meals eaten and even toilet training progress!

At Co-op Childcare Walcot there are four home rooms split into the following age groups: nought to one-year-olds, one to two-year-olds, two to three-year-olds and three to five-year-olds. The nursery has a large back garden which has a variety of play surfaces from grass to soft play tarmac.

All four of my children have attended this nursery over the last twelve years and I honestly would not want them to go anywhere else. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. Communication is always brilliant and I’m always kept up to date with any concerns, accidents or illness during the days my
children are in. Staff are always happy to answer any questions I have. The nursery itself is always clean and tidy, and the children have lots of equipment, toys and open space to play. My children particularly like the outside space and playing in the garden. I always recommend this nursery to anyone that is looking for childcare.

Amazing nursery, all friendly helpful staff. My little boy loves going to nursery and always comes out of nursery happy. Telling me what he had been up to. Always has lots of fun and learning.

Month after month the staff at Walcot Nursery have provided support, kindness and teachable moments to our child and us as first-time parents. Providing us with insightful feedback and keeping us up to date on changes in sleep patterns, appetite, behaviour and education. Our child loves going to nursery
and we feel confident, comfortable and reassured leaving her with the wonderful team.

I have just dropped my daughter off for her final session at Walcot Co-op Childcare Day Nursery having been attending there since she was 11 months old. I cannot speak highly enough of the experience she has had whilst being there. The staff are friendly, caring, kind and fun and have supported my daughter
with her physical skills which she struggled with slightly and all other aspects of her development. She enjoys telling me of all the fun things they have done and the nice food she has eaten (often with seconds!). The staff managed so well to keep a calm and welcoming environment even with all of the stress and uncertainty of the pandemic and this was a great support system to us during that difficult time. The communication is great, both face to face, via the app and in the regular keyworker feedback sessions and I feel like all of the staff know my daughter well and care for her. I would highly recommend this setting and thank all the team there for a great experience.

Today was a very sad day as my two children had their last day at Co-op Walcot Nursery. They both started their nursery journey as little babies and now are ready for school. They have had a great 3 and a half years. One of the hardest things as a new mother was handing my babies over to someone else
when I had to go back to work part time. The staff were great though and I soon knew that they were in great hands at a lovely place. I feel like we have just said goodbye to our second family! All the staff know my children and greet them with smiles every day. They have helped them in many developmental areas including using cutlery, toilet training, riding a bike, social skills, writing, counting, singing, growing veg etc. The pre school have done very well in preparing them for school. I feel that being around other children their age has done them the world of good. They made great relationships with their key workers and enjoyed every day especially in all the great outdoor space.

My Son has been to 3 nurseries before this one, they were all great but Co-op Childcare Walcot has been the best experience for us! My son loves going to nursery and speaks to us about staff and his daily activities. The one thing I find very unique about this nursery is that I feel I am dropping my
little one off to a friend or family rather than daytime childcare. The amount of genuine care and nurturing he receives from staff is impressive! It also reflects on his behaviour when he shows tender love and care towards other children and other people. My son had to start wearing glasses at 3 years, the nursery was very supportive with this transition, prepared his friends to accept his new look and cared for his eyes as much as I would do. If I pop in to nursery to pick him up any time of the day he’s clean, glasses wiped, happy, fed, changed and playing. I cannot thank the team enough and no words can describe my gratitude to every staff member in this nursery.

Fantastic team. The nursery teachers are very welcoming and easy to talk to. My son loves going to nursery and talks about nursery all the time. My son has problems with his speech and they have been amazing with supporting our son and he is now communicating much clearer. I would highly recommend

Our son has been attending pre-school for 9 months now and we’re absolutely thrilled with every aspect of his experience. All the staff have been incredibly welcoming, kind and supportive with making him feel comfortable and at home. It’s great to see the very detailed updates on his progress via observations
in the app and there’s always an informative hand-over at the end of the day to keep us in the loop. Our son struggled a little with transitioning into childcare, but with support from the wonderful staff here we’ve seen his confidence come on in leaps and bounds. He now chats animatedly about his friends at pre-school and always has loads to say about his day. I can’t recommend Co-op Walcot enough!

I am more than happy with the care that my son gets at Co-op Childcare Walcot Day Nursery. The staff are friendly and welcoming from all of the rooms and always greet us in the morning by saying hello. They have been adaptable around my child’s needs, especially when he can become overwhelmed with noise,
and make sure he is comfortable and happy. He enjoys going and has been there since he was a year old so has experienced being in all of the rooms on a full-time basis, allowing him to build strong and meaningful relationships with the staff and other children. I have chosen not to move my son to a more local nursery to home as he is familiar with his environment and I am happy with the service provided. I would 100% recommend this nursery to other parents and will be sad to leave when my son is ready to move on to school. Thank you for everything you do, you are amazing!

My little boy has been going to this nursery since he was 2 years old, he’s now leaving in September to start school, and the time that he has been there the nursery staff have been absolutely amazing with him, I can’t give them enough credit with how good they are with my son. He’s been diagnosed with
autism and the staff have helped him so much with everything, I’m gutted he will be leaving soon. I would recommend this nursery to anyone. Absolutely amazing.

This is what we been looking for in a nursery! My daughter has a big problem with eating and socializing. Been for few weeks and can see so much improvement in her. They are really good and have a personal approach to every child as they all different. They are always happy to provide me with all information

My son has been going to the Co-op Childcare Walcot for a year and a half now. Our overall experience as parents has been brilliant. The whole process from settling in sessions to constant and regular updates on the progress of the child and regular key person one on one sessions have been designed
and organized so well; they take care of every concern a parent has for their child’s care. Everyone at the nursery shows a very warm and caring interest in the child’s progress which is a big assurance. The ambience is fun-filled with learning through play and activities.
Overall, I feel amazing that I made the right choice for my child. I do not genuinely believe there can be any better nursery in Swindon.

My son started in March and I was very anxious about him starting due to him being born during the pandemic and not having been around others. I can absolutely say that I didn't need to be nervous at all, the nursery have been amazing and he's settled really well. The staff have gone over and above

We moved to Swindon in January 2021 and when we asked where we should send our daughter the response was astounding, everyone said Co-Op Walcot. They were not wrong. Our daughter had never been to a nursery, pre-school, childminder setting and was so nervous and scared on her first day, the staff had
to peel her off me. We are now on week 3 and she has been bouncing in for the last 2 weeks with no problems! The staff are fantastic, so friendly and I feel very confident in the care they are providing our daughter. I love the app which tells us what our daughter has eaten, been doing during the day and how we can help her learning at home. I cannot praise this nursery enough and will definitely be sending our youngest daughter when the time comes.

My daughter currently attends Co-op Childcare Walcot in the baby room. All the staff looking after her are amazing and are always so accommodating. The whole nursery has been amazing in supporting her to settle in during the pandemic. She found nursery difficult at first, having spent so much time in
lockdown and not being around many people, however with the fantastic support from the nursery she now loves nursery and always enjoys herself. I love receiving regular updates and daily pictures of what she has been up to and the use of the app is amazing! Would definitely recommend this nursery to anyone looking for childcare.

My son really enjoys attending the nursery and is always coming home telling me about his day and all the friends he has been playing with. The nursery offers healthy, nutritious food, and my son always eats well at the nursery. The app is really useful, as it helps keep me up to date with everything
that is going on, and I get to see what my son has been learning and how well he is developing. The nursery has really helped my son grow in confidence and develop socially.

My daughter started here just before the first lockdown. She settled in well and was really well supported by the staff in the 0-2s rooms. She has since moved up to the 2s-3s and even though we aren’t able to pop in, the staff have made lots of effort to communicate through the parent zone app, so we
know what’s she’s been up to and how her day has been. Staff are friendly and welcoming, and we have seen our little one make excellent progress, especially with her speech and communication since starting here.

We love Co-op Childcare Walcot nursery, both my children have attended and our youngest, 9 months, has been attending since January and she has settled in wonderfully thanks to the fantastic staff. We have noticed such a difference in her development already and she’s so excited to go in on her nursery
days. My son who is now 8 years old still talks about his nursery days and says he misses going even now. He transitioned into school so well and I put that down to his days at nursery. We would 100% recommend anyone to this nursery and we wouldn’t send our children anywhere else.
