Recently she has had some ill health and needed a lot of support from staff to help support her needs and put planning into place to ensure she is safe in the event of her following ill again. From her nursery key worker to the managers and admin staff they have been amazing putting everything into place.
Our daughter is thriving at Busy Bees. She loves all the staff. They are all so friendly and clearly show their love for children. The opportunities of play indoors and outdoors is fantastic. I find the notice board of what's going on over the months very informative and helpful.
He absolutely loves going (since he was 10 months), as he has free range to choose what it is that he can do and what he wants to play with, including many noisy and messy activities that he doesn't get the chance to do at home! The staff are all lovely and friendly, and genuinely interested in my son and how he is, both whilst he is with them but also how he has been over the weekend.
He eats virtually all of the meals and snacks that are provided (and often second helpings) and I have to say that most days I am quite jealous of the delicious options that he has been provided with! From my side, I can go to work at ease knowing that my son is happy and very well cared for and most of all safe, as the door security policy is excellent - both my husband and I have been stopped at the entrance until a member of staff that knows us verifies that we are genuine parents, which is incredibly reassuring.
My daughter has attended Busy Bees Trowbridge for 3 days a week since she was 10 months old and she will be 3 in a couple of weeks. From the day we registered her to attend (well before her birth!) to walking in with her this morning, we feel so fortunate to have Busy Bees, led by their manager and the team, at our side in shaping our daughter's future. Her well-being is well cared for, she has exciting learning activities to undertake, lots of outside space to utilise (which she adores) and plenty of resources, books etc to aid her development. The teams in the rooms are supportive of our daughter, her needs and her development, and help reflect the standards that we set at home, whether sleeping patterns or manners. The nursery when we joined had an 'Excellent' scoring and in our minds has gone from strength to strength since. Investment in facilities and staff is highly evident. If looking for a nursery for your little one, in my mind you will be hard pushed to find anywhere better!
Great nursery which fully supported my child who has SEND needs. The team could not do enough to help us as a family and also my child whilst on site, he developed and progressed so much being here and has been within the setting since he was 8 months old. Couldn’t recommend enough!
From day 1 everyone at Busy Bees has made not only my son feel welcome but both me and my wife. They go above and beyond day in, day out, to ensure he has the best experience and I can honestly say he absolutely loves his time there - [robably too much! He doesn’t want to leave at the end of the day. A special mention has to go out to the staff who head up the baby room. My son is spoilt for choice with these 3 looking after him, all our an absolute credit to the nursery. Another mention to the manager who is always on hand to sort out any niggling issues we may have. We always get a friendly welcome as you come through the door.
We did search around for different alternatives to Busy Bees at Trowbridge and most were cheaper but we absolutely made the right decision. It’s worth every penny and we would have no hesitation in the future sending our children here.
Keep up the good work ladies.
Our child has been going to Busy Bee's since he was three and the team ensured the transition from a childminder environment to preschool was a smooth and pleasant experience for all of us. All the team are lovely and friendly. We are well informed of how our child's day has gone either by a handover at the end of the day, through the notice board and parent zone. The monthly newsletter also tells us about key information and future events. There are plenty of activities that keep him stimulated, every day is certainly a learning day filled with fun, this is evident in how much he has developed during his time at Busy Bees. The biggest endorsement comes from my son when I ask him how his day was, he says "it was awesome".
My son absolutely loves Busy Bees and all the staff. They can't do enough for us as a family and always go above and beyond. The transitions between rooms have been very smooth and he always goes into nursery with a smile on his face. We love the photos we receive of him having fun at nursery and love the artwork he comes home with.
My daughter loves to go to this nursery and she loves her carers and activities. The learning methods are very impressive.
The only thing I would change is that the fact my son gets pudding if he doesn’t finish his main meal, which makes it quite challenging to encourage this at home.
Again, this week is Easter week and the children have been tasked with making Easter bonnets. The staff have relied on the notice board, which I don’t look at often enough. When events like these are taking place the staff need to be more active in speaking with parents.
They are great at tackling issues and solving any concerns that families may have. They are always welcoming and stop for a chat. My son is very happy. The staff are great and the manager is very kind, considerate and professional.
My son has been at Busy Bees (Paxcroft Mead) since he was nine months old, he is now three and a half. During that time I have always been incredibly impressed with the wide range of activities and learning opportunities that the staff have provided the children with. My son is always keen to attend and always tells me about the lovely things he has been getting up to. I would highly recommend Busy Bees at Paxcroft Mead to any parent looking for somewhere where they want their child to have fun, be happy while also learning along the way.
The care my daughter receives at Busy Bees is second to none. She comes home learning new things every day and grows in confidence all the time. The staff that work there are brilliant with her. Very rarely do we have tears on drop off, instead, she's eager to get stuck in with whatever exciting things they have planned for the day! We are always welcomed with a friendly smile. My fiance and I feel so at ease when she's at nursery and cannot recommend them enough!
Simply a superb nursery. My daughter loves it there and her confidence and ability to adapt to people has grown and grown thanks to their support. The staff are caring and helpful, and they look after their charges with genuine affection.
When I look at his time there on the parent app, he is always having so much fun, but also the staff are on top of his individual milestones to help him reach them. We are hoping he will go to pre school at the nursery, which would be a perfect start for him before primary school.
I have recommended the nursery to my friend and now her son goes too! I can't say a bad word about them really!
I feel happy and content every day I drop him off, because to me if he is happy and enjoying his day then I feel less guilty at being at work.
The fact that I can see what he is up to each day via the online system is great. I would recommend the nursery to any of my friends or family who are looking for childcare.
My child has developed in leaps and bounds and genuinely enjoys his time at nursery. He loves the staff and you can tell they love him too. The management makes every effort to ensure that all communications are clear and that parents are well informed.
Busy Bees at Trowbridge, Paxcroft Mead is an excellent facility. The practitioners are great and always on hand to offer assistance and guidance on any childcare related issue. My son's development since joining the facility in September aged 9 months has been second to none. He is a real people person and absolutely thrives on a challenge. He loves music and building and anything that he has to "work out". We all say he's like a sponge as you only have to show him (or him see) something once and it sticks. His key person has been amazing and always has his best interests at heart so thank you! The nursery manager is great too, procedures are always followed and she is always on hand to answer any questions. Very approachable. Would definitely recommend this nursery.
I have used Busy Bees since my 6-year-old was 2 years old and in the 4 years service, my youngest now 4 and due to start School in September, both of my children have grown in confidence, in learning and in spirit. The staff are incredibly friendly and listen to any concerns or questions you have, and you know that when you drop your baby with them they are in excellent hands. Both of my daughters loved / love attending this pre-school and have made many close friends here.
Other than the lovely feel for the place, you can also guarantee the expected safety, excellent nutrition and application of excellent all round care.
My little boy only goes to nursery once a week so you would expect him to be a little unsettled to go in in the morning. Oh no he loves it he can't wait to get there and that's down to how good the nursery is. All the staff are great and make such an effort with my little man and the environment he gets to enjoy is fab especially the outside space which they've done so well with. I have no concerns at all about the nursery and feel very comfortable leaving my little man to play.

Meet the Team (1)
Welcome to Busy Bees Trowbridge, my name is Helen and I am the Centre Director for the Nursery. I have been a part of the company since September 2023 and in October achieved, with the team here at Trowbridge our Triple Outstanding from OFSTED.
I have worked in Childcare for 24 years with some breaks in my career to have my two boys. I have a passion for Early Years and promoting a firm foundation for children to learn and develop holistically.
I fully believe this is the most important stage before children embark on their next journey, to school and beyond. I enjoy working with the team to help create a warm and enriching environment for the children here.
During my time in childcare, I started as an Apprentice right up to being a Nursery Manager. I have previously managed 4 other nurseries in the last 24 years.
Busy Bees is an advocate for the future personal growth and well-being of their staff, and as importantly the health, safety and development of the children that attend the companies' settings.
I really enjoy being a part of the wonderful team here at Trowbridge and meeting the families that attend here, both old and new.
I look forward to welcoming you to our fantastic nursery and showing round all the amazing environments.
