Tops Day Nursery - Bournemouth, welcomes babies from three months old and provides children with an excellent learning through play environment to help them develop through their pre-school years.

Tops Bournemouth's practice is inspired by Reggio Emilia and Scandinavian ethos – they believe that children should be surrounded by beautiful, aesthetic things and exposed to inspirational experiences. Tops Bournemouth put big emphasis on the they way children learn and the resources used in the nursery. In daily activities children have opportunities to use their imagination as well as develop critical thinking.

Rated Outstanding by Ofsted in October 2016 with early years professionals dedicated to best practice, the nursery also has its own training team to ensure standards are kept high and up-to-date with childcare sector developments.

This nursery is part of a group that provides the most eco-sustainable childcare and education in the UK, being respectful of the environment and acting to reduce, re-use and recycle resources is an important part of the culture and routine for the children and staff.

The nursery offers very flexible hours and parents can book to the nearest 15 minutes, meaning they only book and pay for the hours that suit them.

The nursery has a number of extracurricular activities such as Tops Cooking School, Tops Forest School, meditation, yoga, Rugby Rangers, Boogie Mites, tooth brushing and much more.

Families are always welcome to call to discuss their child and their progress at the nursery. Throughout the day, staff record important information about each child, such as sleep times and food intake. This is shared with families through EYLOG.

The no-added sugar menu at the nursery provides children with a healthy and nutritional start in life.

My son has been attending Tops Day Nurseries: Bournemouth Nursery for almost a year now. He loves all of the carers there and on days when he's not at nursery, he always asks when he is going to nursery, showing how much he loves his time there. My son is always happy when he sees the friendly welcome
he gets in the morning. On collection we get a brief run down of how the day has gone. This helps with expanding on anything that has been learnt. The children are taken into the large garden whenever the weather allows. On top of normal activities Tops Day Nurseries: Bournemouth Nursery also offers "Cooking School" and "Forest School" which encourages the children to learn cooking and learn about the environment. The nursery staff have supported us greatly in our goals as parents for the progression of our son. We get regular feedback via the app regarding milestones and achievements.
Payments for the service can be quickly made via the app or other means. We have no hesitation in planning for our youngest son to also go to Tops Day Nurseries: Bournemouth Nursery once he is old enough.

Couldn’t have chosen a better nursery for our three year old. The staff are amazing, very dedicated and caring! They always make sure you’re updated on the daily activities and their app is great to see what they’re up to. Just brilliant!

Especially during the current circumstances, as my son hadn’t been around many people other than us due to the pandemic. The staff are so friendly and so good with the children. I love everything about this nursery. The staff are kind, caring and fun, I never have any concerns about my kids whilst they’re at nursery. My daughter has been attending Tops Day Nurseries: Bournemouth Nursery since she was eight months old and she’s now nearly two and half. I have always felt my daughter is safe, well cared for and happy. The staff play a big role in that but also so do the different policies and procedures that Tops
Day Nurseries: Bournemouth Nursery have in place. Despite my little girl having time off during the pandemic, she still spoke so fondly of the staff regularly and I think she really missed them and her friends. Now she’s back, I can see her confidence rising again and when I collect her she can’t wait to tell me all the things she’s done in the day. The extra details about Tops Day Nurseries: Bournemouth Nursery like their Forest School, Cooking School and their general ethos around sustainability and looking after the planet just give it that extra touch above other nurseries in the area, which is why we chose them in particular. We are very happy we made this choice and I know my daughter will remain here until she goes to school.

Both our boys love attending Tops Bournemouth. We have almost been through all the classes now and have been bowled over in every room with how lovely, caring and friendly the staff have been and how well they care for our boys. There's nothing more comforting than dropping your children off and knowing

I have been so happy with the care Tops Day Nurseries: Bournemouth Nursery have provided for my child whilst he has been at the setting. The staff are kind, caring and know all of the children really well. I love the extracurricular activities that Tops provide such as cooking school, forest school
and yoga. My son still talks about cooking school as he thoroughly enjoyed it. My son will be going to school in September and we will both be very sad to say goodbye to Tops but we thank you for everything!

Our son has been going to Tops Bournemouth since November 2019, he absolutely loves it, they do some many different activities with the children, I love it when he comes home with paintings that he has done.
The staff are all so lovely and each day ask how our son has been and he has built a genuine
bond with each of the nursery workers, especially two from the Explores room, he always asks to go and see them every day, it’s so nice to see your child have a good bond with the nursery workers as it makes us feel better leaving him there.
We really love Tops Bournemouth and all the staff. Thank you to everyone who works here. We would definitely recommend this nursery to anyone.

My daughter is so happy at this nursery, she is always happy to go and really enjoys the activities they set up for her to do. I am so grateful for the flexibility they have with times as well. The only negative I ever have is the parking situation.

My children have been going through Tops Nursery Bournemouth hospital since early 2014 I’ve always been very impressed by the professionalism of the staff and the nursery is well managed. The staff are well looked after and are mostly the same as when my first child went through the nursery, this has
led to high standards and experienced staff. The nursery is excellent and organised into year groups - this allows age-specific activities and good preparation for school. My son currently enjoys cooking school and has undertaken regular trips to interact and build relationships with patients on a rehab ward. He is also especially interested in the preschool bunny! The flexible booking and hours are excellent, admin staff communicate well. Food is excellent, varied and healthy. Tops is a busy nursery which might not be everyone’s cup of tea but in my opinion, the benefits of it being so well run and structured outweigh this and in my mind prepares the children well for the school environment.

My daughter has been going to Top Day Nurseries: Bournemouth for just over six months now and she loves it. I was very nervous about going back to work and leaving her, but the nursery has been so supportive. My daughter gets so excited going into the nursery and is happy to wander off to play before
I’ve even gone. The practitioners are so friendly, and nothing is ever too much to ask for. I'm always telling other parents about this nursery as I think it’s amazing.

We have sent both our boys to this nursery, and couldn't be happier with the setting. For 5 and half years they have looked after our boys and have supported and encouraged them to become amazing, confident and compassionate young people.
From the first day we took our first boy in, we were reassured
and happy to be leaving him with such competent staff. They understood our feelings and beliefs when it came to raising our children, and respected our methods.
It is a great nursery and we would highly recommend to anyone looking for child care.

Would highly recommend Tops Day Nursery - Bournemouth, they have most recently supported my son in potty training at 22 months and provided me with useful information and advice. I have been very happy with every aspect of the care provided for my little boy a Tops Bournemouth. The staff are lovely and the children always seem to be happy. There are so many activities and opportunities for the children to get involved and I can see how well my little boy has developed during
the time he has spent at the nursery.


I get very few tears when I drop my little boy off because usually, he has run off to get involved in an activity without even saying "goodbye". That to me is a great sign that he is confident, settled and happy to be there. (The staff are quick to give the children cuddles and reassurance when there are tears and as a mum, that makes it easier for me to walk away. I know he will be fine again in a minute or two).


I have recommended Tops Bournemouth to a number of friends and will continue to do so.
