Tops Day Nursery - Bournemouth, welcomes babies from three months old and provides children with an excellent learning through play environment to help them develop through their pre-school years.

Tops Bournemouth's practice is inspired by Reggio Emilia and Scandinavian ethos – they believe that children should be surrounded by beautiful, aesthetic things and exposed to inspirational experiences. Tops Bournemouth put big emphasis on the they way children learn and the resources used in the nursery. In daily activities children have opportunities to use their imagination as well as develop critical thinking.

Rated Outstanding by Ofsted in October 2016 with early years professionals dedicated to best practice, the nursery also has its own training team to ensure standards are kept high and up-to-date with childcare sector developments.

This nursery is part of a group that provides the most eco-sustainable childcare and education in the UK, being respectful of the environment and acting to reduce, re-use and recycle resources is an important part of the culture and routine for the children and staff.

The nursery offers very flexible hours and parents can book to the nearest 15 minutes, meaning they only book and pay for the hours that suit them.

The nursery has a number of extracurricular activities such as Tops Cooking School, Tops Forest School, meditation, yoga, Rugby Rangers, Boogie Mites, tooth brushing and much more.

Families are always welcome to call to discuss their child and their progress at the nursery. Throughout the day, staff record important information about each child, such as sleep times and food intake. This is shared with families through EYLOG.

The no-added sugar menu at the nursery provides children with a healthy and nutritional start in life.

Both of our children have thoroughly enjoyed their time at Tops Day Nursery. We have been really impressed with the Montessori style of learning promoting independence and it has really suited our children. All of the staff have been so friendly and welcoming. Our daughter is really enjoying Forest
School and hopefully, she will be able to attend the cookery school when there is space. I love being able to receive the kid's daily observations with their pictures at work.

I have sent two of my children to the Tops Nursery at the Bournemouth Hospital, my eldest daughter left last year after completing 4 years and over the years we saw he flourish in terms of her development and learning. The staff are excellent and the range of activities for all ages is to a very high
standard in my comparison to other local nurseries. I would recommend this nursery to any parent if they want their child to go on to school as a well-rounded individual.

Excellent nursery. The staff are always friendly, approachable and do a fantastic job of looking after and educating our children. They offer a variety of fun activities each day to educate and keep the children engaged, as well as offering trips out, cookery school and forest school, which I cannot
speak highly enough of.
The facilities are good and the outdoor area is brilliant fun. Both my daughters are very happy at Tops and I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

I am always recommending this nursery to friends. Having gone through a long process to become guardians of the children, the nursery has supported me and helped me find processes to support the children.
The children's development and support from our nursery is totally amazing they are always caring
and insightful to the children and I love the feedback they give.

My daughter is now almost 4 and has attended Tops Bournemouth since her 1st birthday. I cannot recommend them enough and in fact, have to numerous people including my sister whose little boy also started aged 1. Staff are so friendly and invested in my child and it's great to see her run to staff in
the morning and be sad to leave in the afternoon. The nursery is so helpful and flexible and has got us out of last-minute childcare issues so many times as my husband and I are both shift workers and can often have to start early, leave late or change shifts last minute and if they can help they do. Our daughter had thrived since being at Tops and we will be very sad when she leaves to start school in September. To trust your child with other people without ever worrying is priceless.

Both our children have attended Tops Bournemouth since 9 months of age. We cannot commend the staff enough for their constant nurturing and care for our children. We love the use of the Eylog app so that both we and the practitioners can update on development and progress and each and every time in
the 3 years we have collected one or both children we are given an in-depth review of the day, the practitioners actually care about your child and their development. We love that there is a great balance between free play, structured activity and learning, with the added options of Forest School etc.


The staff are just fantastic and the only time we ever had an issue it was dealt with quickly and professionally.


The setting itself is always clean and tidy, it is well maintained and constantly updated.


We highly rate Tops Bournemouth and would never hesitate to recommend it.

The staff are always warm and friendly and appear to show a genuine interest in my daughters progress whilst attending Tops Day Nursery. They are quick and efficient at addressing any concerns I may have as a parent with regards to my daughters learning or social/physical development. They are great
at communicating my child's personal achievements and milestones through face to face contact or through the eyLog notifications online. I have no hesitation about leaving my daughter with staff who appear motivated and capable of making it a safe and happy environment for her to play in. I cannot thank them enough for their ongoing help and support.

Since joining Tops Day Nursery my son has developed in so many ways. He is more confident and balanced and looks forward to going into nursery everyday.
I think the best thing about Tops Day Nursery is the staff. They are friendly, welcoming, willing to answer any questions. I feel confident and happy
leaving my son with them.
I love that I get to see photos of what my son is up to, often making something fun.
Such a fantastic nursery, would highly recommend it.

My son has been going to Tops Day Nursery - Bournemouth since he was 8 months old, and has loved every minute. The staff are exceptional, the food is healthy and varied, and I am certain his development, speech and attitude is a direct reflection of their guidance.
I have had to use their services
in emergencies too and they are always willing to help, no matter how short notice.
I cannot review them highly enough.

Tops Day Nursery have been excellent for us and our little boy, the flexibility is unparalleled and the staff have been exemplary in helping us to arrange late day care in exceptional circumstances, always going the extra mile to help out. They really care for their children, and the staff are always
happy to listen to us and have a two-way relationship, especially when things are not quite going to plan. They always have advice and are quick to try to rectify any problems that may arise. Most importantly, my son, who is a bit shy, seems to have an absolutely great time there and has made friends with staff and other children alike, and often surprises us at home with things he has picked up from nursery. They are also really proactive on extra-curricular activities, with visits to the beach on the bus for example! Excellent.

This nursery has been great and our little boy looks as though he has enjoyed it. The staff are all excellent and update a personal online file for your child, informing you of everything that your child has done during their time at nursery. This even includes a few sneaky photos of them playing and
sometimes getting messy. I would highly recommend Tops Day Nursery - Bournemouth.

My little girl has been attending tops for a year and a half and she absolutely loves it! The staff are all amazing and very caring! The added extras such as forest school, cooking school are run very professionally, and are an extra bonus to my little girls day at nursery which she has so much fun,
