Tops Day Nursery - Bournemouth, welcomes babies from three months old and provides children with an excellent learning through play environment to help them develop through their pre-school years.

Tops Bournemouth's practice is inspired by Reggio Emilia and Scandinavian ethos – they believe that children should be surrounded by beautiful, aesthetic things and exposed to inspirational experiences. Tops Bournemouth put big emphasis on the they way children learn and the resources used in the nursery. In daily activities children have opportunities to use their imagination as well as develop critical thinking.

Rated Outstanding by Ofsted in October 2016 with early years professionals dedicated to best practice, the nursery also has its own training team to ensure standards are kept high and up-to-date with childcare sector developments.

This nursery is part of a group that provides the most eco-sustainable childcare and education in the UK, being respectful of the environment and acting to reduce, re-use and recycle resources is an important part of the culture and routine for the children and staff.

The nursery offers very flexible hours and parents can book to the nearest 15 minutes, meaning they only book and pay for the hours that suit them.

The nursery has a number of extracurricular activities such as Tops Cooking School, Tops Forest School, meditation, yoga, Rugby Rangers, Boogie Mites, tooth brushing and much more.

Families are always welcome to call to discuss their child and their progress at the nursery. Throughout the day, staff record important information about each child, such as sleep times and food intake. This is shared with families through EYLOG.

The no-added sugar menu at the nursery provides children with a healthy and nutritional start in life.

My two children have both enjoyed their time at Tops Day Nursery. I still have one attending but she will be starting school this year. The staff are brilliant and it is lovely to hear about all the things my daughter has done throughout her day. It is lovely to hear about the friendships she has made
and the new things she has learnt.

Since starting my daughter at Tops Day Nursery, I’ve seen one very happy girl. Very attentive care, staff are amazing and ever so helpful and happy in their work and the person-centred care to the children is great too.
My daughter is often at the nursery and is very happy and is often very chatty
on the way home. I can see the learning she’s achieving as she’s growing into a toddler. Thank you, Tops Day Nurseries.

My little girl has been coming since November and although it's one day per week and although it's been a bit tough for her to settle, she absolutely loves it now. She knows who her staff members are and she loves going in, I think she's more disappointed to come home. I love getting photos of her and
her friends playing and taking part in different activities.
The staff have been amazing, they are so good with her, they always inform me of her day, how much she has eaten and slept, what they got up to. She always eats all her food so it must be yummy. They get to play outside which is great because she loves exploring and climbing and getting messy and running around.
We love her going here, I'd be heartbroken if we ever had to take her out, it's her little time away from me and her dad and it's done her the world of good.

I have had two children attend Tops Day Nurseries: Bournemouth Nursery since they were toddlers and they have both enjoyed their experience during their time, from Explorers up to preschool. Our daughter still currently attends but will be starting school this year. We love seeing and hearing about
all the exciting things she has done and learnt each day she attends and the friendships that have been made. Our baby will soon be joining the nursery and will be starting in the nest. We feel confident knowing that she will be looked after by a fantastic team, when she joins.

My daughter absolutely loves coming to nursery at Tops Day Nurseries: Bournemouth Nursery and she adores all of the staff. The progress she has made with all aspects of her development while enrolled at Tops is staggering. There are so many activities and events for her to take part in and the daily
play is always fun and varied. Cooking school has been wonderful for her kitchen skills and she now helps peel and chop vegetables at home.

My little boy has just left Tops after 4 and a bit years to go to school. The way he has moved seamlessly from nursery to school has been brilliant and I put this down to his time at Tops, always playing with new people and making him the confident social child that he is.

I have had two children at Tops and they have both loved it. The staff are great and both of the kids have made close bonds with them. Cooking school and forest school were great additions to their time there. Overall, it was a wonderful experience for both of my kids. However, the admin isn't great,
it takes a long time to get responses to emails. I am also still waiting on my deposits to be refunded a month after my children have left, despite chasing.

Outstanding care provider. My child enjoys attending. She is encouraged to participate in tasks and is always learning. This relates whilst she is at home being more explorative and intrigued by things. She loves eating together which is encouraged by the nursery. The nursery have been exceptional with

Great nursery to send your child to. My little girl has gone from being shy and crying to running in with a smile on her face. The support from staff is amazing and they are so caring. My little girl absolutely loves going to Tops Bournemouth and will highly recommend it to other parents.

My son started in September 2021 and he has been flourishing ever since. The staff are like a family away from family to him. Everyone from admin, apprentice practitioners, key workers, and management truly gives their heart and soul to every child. They make learning and exploring fun, but keep every

My daughter attended this nursery since she was 13 months and now she is 3 and a half years and still enjoying it! Great staff and good learning. There is the forest and the cooking schools where we tried the cooking and my daughter loved it. Keep the good work up.

Our son loves to go to nursery thanks to the lovely staff. Everyone is so helpful and attentive. Children are well looked after, there are lots of additional activities they can take part in. The opportunity to have extra help for children with English as a second language is fantastic. There are regular
photo/video records that give extra information about what your child was doing. All of the staff members are so understanding, professional, supportive and caring. They are so helpful especially when a child starts his journey at nursery. Also, they are organising very stimulating activities so even if a child comes back in his spare clothes I'm sure he had the best time. There is an option to book extra hours for a discounted price and 15min bookings intervals are so good rather than booking by the whole hours.

All three of my grandchildren have attended Bournemouth Tops nursery. Two still attend and absolutely love it. They've grown in confidence since being there.
I love the way they think of our planet by only using wood items and no plastics.
Would recommend it to others 100%.

So far I've been really pleased with this nursery. The staff are very friendly and the days seem to be full of fun activities. My daughter always comes home exhausted, she runs in every morning so clearly enjoys it. She smiles at the staff members and happily goes to them at drop off. The feedback from

My one-year-old son has been attending the nursery for just over a month and I have been extremely impressed with the caring nature of all the staff. He loves going to Tops and always seems happy when he's there.
I can tell that he is learning new skills and it's great he is having lots of interaction
with other children.
I am so glad there is such a lovely nursery so near to the hospital where I work, I feel very lucky!

My little daughter started in Nest and initially, she was not comfortable going to nursery but the way staff handled her and made her comfortable, I really liked it and appreciate it. She is much more confident and more comfortable going to nursery now and she enjoys her time there.

My two children attend Tops Day Nurseries: Bournemouth Nursery and are both very happy there. They have lunch and tea there and the menu is lovely, healthy and varied. I really like the fact Tops Day Nurseries: Bournemouth Nursery encourage parents and children to be environmentally aware. The staff
are very knowledgeable, competent and I've never felt anything other than confidence in leaving my children in their kind hands. We also sign up to their forest school and cooking school and I love the fact the children do yoga and exercise at nursery.
