The nursery provides a welcoming environment in the heart of Pokesdown, delivering high-quality childcare within a safe, nurturing, and stimulating setting. Its spaces are thoughtfully designed to support children’s learning, development, and independence through play.
The nursery works in partnership with a local care home to offer intergenerational experiences and is supported by a team of qualified, friendly, and experienced staff. Children are guided in line with the EYFS framework, helping to build confidence and independence. Flexible hours are available to support families, and the nursery accepts all types of funding.
On the ground floor, there are two preschool rooms, including a stage area that provides additional space for creative play and group activities. Upstairs, an open-plan room for children aged 2–3 years encourages exploration and supports the development of motor skills through carefully planned activity areas and quality resources within a calm, neutral environment.
The baby room offers a warm and secure setting for children from three months until walking age, with care routines tailored to each child’s individual needs. The nursery also benefits from a well-equipped outdoor area where children can stay active and enjoy fresh air, while its location close to the beach provides further opportunities for outdoor experiences.

Great space, helpful staff is well trained. My daughter is very happy to go to the nursery. She likes the food offered, the activities, the games and the teachers.
She also gets to mix and socialise with children from different cultures and nationalities.

Brilliant nursery with excellent standards. My daughter has been attending since she was 2 and has loved every minute of it and is always looking forward to going.
The staff are friendly and helpful and develop good relationships with the children and help them progress to meet their targets....

My son has really bloomed at the Tops Boscombe Nursery. He is growing into a strong independent child. The nursery itself is a fun and bright environment and he is looks forward to going every day. We take a great pleasure in seeing photos and videos taken daily by the lovely teacher's which are put on eyLog. My son has progressed so much and has really started to say a lot of words and recognise colours.

My son has attended the nursery since he was 6 months old. The staff are so attentive to his needs and he loves going to nursery. The environment is well organised with a huge range of resources. The nursery manager is outstanding and leads a very dedicated and motivated staff team.

My son started to attend at 9 months old although hard for me the staff were friendly and reassuring! My son is now 2 years old and with the help and knowledge of the staff is growing into a confident happy little boy!
