Tops Day Nurseries: Pokesdown Nursery

Brilliant nursery, amazing staff and willing to help personally and professionally.

He absolutely loves it and comes out with all sorts of new words and songs that he has got from Tops and he isn't 2 yet. They have been really supportive and provide a comprehensive update on his day. I have heard mixed reviews (and seen) about other sites but it's always great for the Boscombe team. Would and do recommend this site.

All staff are absolutely amazing, communication outstanding, management excellent. I couldn't ask for better care and I will always recommend Tops to everyone. My girl did learn so much, she met a lot of friends and she has memories that will be cherish for ever.

My son has been attending the nursery since April when he was only 8 months old. He has settled in very well thanks to the caring and friendly staff. He is always happy to be dropped off and looks very comfortable there when I return to collect him.

Tops have helped create a safe and stable environment. The key staff have nurtured my son into a confident boy; who is ready to start school. He idolises staff who have always gone above and beyond, who comfort, encourage and have a genuine desire to care for the children in their rooms - most of all, as a parent, I’m happy leaving my son there knowing he will be having a fun filled day, with great staff and friends.

Tops Day Nursery have always gone above and beyond to provide a wonderful setting for my son, and support him with his additional needs. The office staff are also very nice people, organised and well managed and the whole team at Tops' work really reflects in the atmosphere in each room. My son has attended since he was 18 months old until he was nearly 5 and I truly enjoyed every moment my son attended. It is nice when you think during the day "I wonder how my son is, or what he's doing" and then smile, knowing truly he is in good hands and well cared for. I always enjoyed the security Tops provided. I really respect all the staff at Tops Day Nursery Boscombe, they are a lovely team of people, carers and teachers (and 'boo boo' fixers!). My son has been with Tops Nursery since he was 3 years old until now he is 5 joining the Mini Beast Club. He loves his time in nursery, the staff are always lovely and looks after him well. He developed his confidence and social skills during his time here. He has now come a long way.

My daughter has been collected from school by Tops Day Nursery for over 3 years. She adores the staff and I feel very comfortable leaving her in their care. Everybody from the office staff to the managers are very welcoming and helpful should the need arise for me to ask for assistance.

My daughter loves this nursery. She started off in the Twos room and it took her a little while to settle in due to being shy. The staff were great and always helped encourage her to grow to like the nursery. She’s now in the Preschool room and has made friends with some children who she loves to go and see. She has been at the nursery for nearly a year and really enjoys it.

I love the eylog, the staff from the admin team to my son's key worker are all wonderful. Warm, friendly but professional and approachable. They do their job as if it is so much more which is great as my son is so much more and I feel that ethos is truly recognised.

The nursery is flexible which has been beneficial due to my work, but also my son has a great time when he goes in. He has friends, support of nursery assistants, activities and a fun creative environment. I get the meals cooked for him, they're always healthy and warm and he enjoys them.

Our son has been going to Tops nursery Boscombe for almost one year now. The staff are lovely and so are management, they will answer any questions we have and make you feel welcome. We like that they are environmentally friendly and teach the children about this, too. Our son likes being outdoors and the children are taken out every day, especially nice is the forest school. All in all our son has become more confident and he loves going to nursery.

My little girl has been going to Tops for about 4 weeks now and absolutely loves it. Good environment, her speech has picked up loads already and the staff are lovely.

My son goes here twice a week and has always been happy, he learns a lot and is meeting lots of friends.

I was really apprehensive about my little boy starting nursery in summer. However, all the staff in the Nest/Explorers are incredible. My little one loves arriving at nursery and seeing favourite faces. There are no tears when I leave, he doesn't even notice when I arrive to pick him up.

All the staff are polite, friendly and my son seems to have taken to them all fondly which gives me great comfort. I really love seeing observations sent to my mobile app whilst he is at nursery and watching him enjoy lots of different activities. Within the whole nursery, there are plenty of activities, additional activities on offer and they really encourage learning by playing and exploring, making activities out of what your child is interested in at that time as well as planned activities.

Facilities are very clean, and I never have concerns about my son's well-being or whether he is being cared for properly. The team are all extremely hard working and I couldn't fault anything. Very child focused.

Tops Day Nursery - Boscombe a fantastic nursery. The staff are always supportive and welcoming. They offer so much in the way of activities. My son who has attended the nursery for almost 3 years has really enjoyed his time there. He especially loves cooking school. Good staff and I like the way they update my daughter's day on the EY log. My daughter already has her favourite teacher. There are plenty of different activities to do. Food I believe is good, however, I did not get a chance to know the menu as this was not emailed or in the EY log. I asked one of the staff and they were not sure about this either. I would also like to see more organisation with the children to learn in groups rather than working independently. Children tend to do try harder when they have some peer pressure. I would also like my daughter to have a sleeping routine during the day.

Very happy with the care my daughter receives. However, I have had to remind staff about applying her eczema cream regularly. The staff are generally very helpful and the premises are clean and my daughter enjoys her time there

Tops is absolutely fantastic childcare! My daughter adores their after school club, she even begs to go at the weekend. The food is healthy and filling and they genuinely care about every child in their care. They even help my daughter with her homework and reading! I can't praise them enough and recommend them to everyone I know that may be looking for childcare.
