Tops Day Nurseries: Pokesdown Nursery

The nursery is very clean, and they have lots of activities.

My son had a great time learning and playing at Tops Boscombe for three years. The staff really helped nurture his confidence and skills. They were always helpful to parents too. He already can't wait to go back for High 5 in October.

My son has been at Tops Boscombe for just over four months now, and he has settled in so well. I am really impressed with the attentiveness of the staff, how well they communicate everything with me (both the nursery staff and admin staff) and how much my son loves attending. It is great that they make use of the outside space when the weather allows, and they always have different activities going on to keep the children engaged. They provide daily diary updates on the app in a timely manner and also share pictures on a weekly-or-so basis of what my son has been up to, which I love seeing. For me, the things that interested me about Tops more generally was the flexibility of bookings and their commitment to sustainability. I really value that they offer good vegetarian meals for my son and that they are supportive of our choice of using reusable nappies (and actively promote this).

I really rate Tops Nursery Boscombe, so much so that when we moved a couple of miles away, we kept our daughter there rather than move her to a closer one. My daughter has built up great attachments to the staff in the baby room and I really get a feeling that they truly care about my child's wellbeing and happiness. The staff are always friendly and professional and I have recomended Tops Boscombe to a friend of mine who is about to return to work and is looking for a childcare solution.

I love this nursery, my little girl won't even say goodbye to me when dropping her off as she just wants to go in and get busy. I love the way they do daily diaries so you know exactly what they have been doing while there, they really take care of the development and understanding of how your child is improving. I would highly recommend this nursery to everyone.

The staff at Tops Boscombe are just fantastic. Throughout the pandemic, the nursery has been supportive and understanding, whilst ensuring the safety of staff, children and parents. They offer a great range of resources for the children to play with. Additional cooking and forest school too, never mind the flexibility with bookings! It’s awesome!

Since my child has started at Tops Boscombe, she has loved every second of it. I was very nervous about sending my baby off to nursery, but the staff and nursery as a whole have made it easy to leave her in someone else care. Would defiantly recommend!

My daughter started with your nursery in June, I was a little worried as she had never been and started just after the main COVID shut down. However, the staff have been amazing both with getting her settled and reassuring me! She absolutely loves going to nursery and has come on personally so much since she started! Thank you all!

I'm very pleased with the kindness of the teachers at Tops Day Nursery, Boscombe, especially during this difficult time, my son's nursery closed during the COVID-19 pandemic as they are a small nursery. At the beginning of the pandemic, we managed to look after our 3 sons because of my mom being temporary "stuck" with. She came to visit and couldn't return to her home country. After 5 weeks of 3 under 5's being locked in the house we started to struggle, especially my mom, as she was left by herself looking after them when me and my husband are both key workers. The manager at Tops Day Nursery was very understanding and supportive and she tried her best to get our son into the nursery. When the great news arrived that our son could go to the nursery 3 days a week we were all very pleased and relieved. Our son loves the setting, his new friends and all the teachers. Up until recently I have had two children at Tops. My daughter has missed her older brother. Staff have been so attentive to her needs - giving her extra cuddles. Recently my daughter moved rooms, the transition was so supported, that it went very well despite the close bond she had with staff in the room she was leaving. Both of my children have loved the extra activities Tops provide, especially forest school.

Tops Boscombe is a wonderful setting for any child. The staff and management are friendly, flexible and resourceful. They provide spaces for babies and children to really flourish in their environment. Teamed with nurturing staff and extra activities like forest school and cookery school, this is an excellent start for any little one to learn and grow.

I have had nothing but good experiences since enlisting my 2 year old son at Tops Day Nurseries: Boscombe Nursery. The team have been extremely friendly and helpful on a one to one basis. Also, my son has a great time and it was warming how the team aided him in the settling in process.

My son absolutely loves nursery, he adores the staff who are invested in his happiness at nursery. My son has fun and enjoys the activities in place. They provide a great environment, most importantly a happy environment. I could not ask for more.
