Flying Start @ Cornwall College - Camborne

The facility is purpose built with a huge hall for the different age groups to play together and run around when it raining, which the 3 age group rooms feed into. All the staff are amazing and have a great relationship with the children. Activities are varied and it's great to see how my LO's progressing through the EYLog. I couldn't recommend them highly enough.

Staff are friendly and well qualified, new assistants are guided well and supported in their career progressions but mainly the safety and development of the children is excellent, I've used Flying Start with all 3 of my children and the focused development plan and progression targets are informative and constantly updated.

One development point would be to allow time to proofread the observations as spelling and grammar can be neglected in the session feedback.

Very obliging and my daughter has great fun. I feel she has advanced majorly due to the nurseries influence and education.

Excellent, my son loves coming here, the team members at all levels are excellent and I would recommend to others.

Flying Start at Cornwall College is a very friendly nursery they are very kind and have a lot of time for the children and their parents... they are always very talkative and include the parents in what their child has done that day and give good feed back at the end of each session. Keep up the good work!!

Absolutely fantastic team. My daughter really enjoys her time here. Full of fun, adventures, play and friends. She has made real progress in her time at Cornwall College Flying Start and the staff are caring and supportive. Thank you especially to her key worker you are a star!

AMAZING nursery. Staff are absolutely brilliant. Feels like we are leaving my child with family. The activities are also brilliant. He has learnt so much already in the short time he has been there.

Fantastic nursery, lovely outside play area and large indoor hall also. Friendly staff who clearly adore the children they care for. Lots of lovely games and activities through the day and nice healthy meals and snacks. Good feedback is given at pick up time.

Flying Start has been excellent so far and I think it’s brilliant how staff keep you informed of your child’s progress throughout the day which gives parents peace of mind. Staff are very friendly.

Our 2-year-old son has been extremely happy at Flying Start at Cornwall College, Camborne. The staff are so warm and caring towards him and have been friendly and professional with us at all times, always taking time at the end of the day to go over my son's day and always happy to answer any questions or give more detail. The range of activities is brilliant with lots of outdoor play in the fantastic outdoor area, which is a great size with lots of equipment and environments to keep the kids busy. There's plenty of run around space indoors too - great when the weather is really awful. He always comes home well worn out! My son is coming on leaps and bounds in confidence, language, social skills and Independence. He talks about what he has done at nursery and is clearly enjoying it and forming lovely bonds with the team. All in all, we couldn't be happier - an absolutely brilliant nursery. This nursery is very good, my daughter settled in well with the help of the supportive staff. I am kept informed of her daily wellbeing and think she is well cared for. The nursery manager is very good and sorts any issues without stress. I have recommended the nursery to friends.

My little one has been attending flying start for just over six months now and he loves it! He is well fed and always kept busy and challanged to help with his overall development.

Flying Start is a great nursery and my daughter loves it there. The staff are friendly and approachable and always happy to help.

There is a good range of activities and play spaces and the nursery trips are good too. Very well organised.

Very happy with the quality of care my daughter is receiving at Flying Start. The eyLog app is fantastic and provides regular updates on her progress with pictures and videos.

Really happy with our nursery. My daughter loves going there and is always talking about the staff which is such a massive indicator that she is happy and enjoys it, which to us is the most important thing. The staff are really helpful and caring and have on a number of occasions been able to take my daughter for extra days when my schedule has changed late minute. The only thing I would like is for it to open 15 minutes earlier in the mornings so I could drop off and be gone by 8 am.

All the staff are lovely and welcoming! I have seen such an improvement on my daughter's speech since she has been in flying starts! Just a lovely nursery!

We love this nursery!

My son is very excited to go each morning and is greeted by very positive staff - sometimes the room seems really busy as he goes in but the doors to the garden are often open and he is immediately asked to get involved and shown what is available for him. He loves to do wake up shake up and then go outside.

I get good feedback at the end of the day, he was in the baby room first which was lovely. The staff were exceptional. As he moved through his keyworker did lots of transition work and then helped us a lot with his behaviour as well as the change which did affect him. They also gave us some strategies and resources to use at home. There's always so much going on, cooking club, gym club, he even tried yoga!

Overall I think this nursery is great, it is really big with big spaces and a big garden which is great for my little boy and it is busy so he gets time to interact with lots of different children and staff but is supported by his keyworker in this.

Have found the nursery and its staff fantastic. While I can only speak for our child, we have found that he has come along in leaps and bounds with all aspects of his development. A very close bond has been developed with his key workers and he actively looks forward to his time with them at the nursery. I cannot think of anything the staff could do to improve what seems to be a very well run establishment.
