Flying Start @ Cornwall College - Camborne

My son has been going to Flying Start since, March 2019 and he really loves going. They have been so good with him through this pandemic, he is a happy, loving boy and is always excited to be going to nursery and is always talking about his friends and key workers. To me, I cannot ask any more than to have a happy boy who loves going, so I can go to work knowing he's in the right place and he's having fun. Thank you all at Flying Start.

My son has been going to Flying Start since he was 10 months old. He is now 3 and in the Pre-School group which he absolutely loves. His confidence has grown so much recently and that is down to the hard work and kindness of all the nursery staff. My son talks very fondly of them all. He is so keen to get to nursery and play with his peers. He is coming on leaps and bounds with his numbers, sounds and writing and this is due to the amazing learning opportunities avaliable there. A big thank you for everything you do.

Amazing staff and a lovely nursery. Their approach to the pandemic has been fantastic and has made me feel at ease, sending my little boy. He loves nursery and gets so excited when we pull up in the mornings and always leaves smiling too.

Best nursery. Both my children went there (youngest still there). Absolutely amazing staff would definitely recommend to anyone. During the lockdown, they sent us information daily to entertain my children. 100% fantastic job by all staff.

My son started at this nursery when he was eight months old for around half a year and he has now returned being two-and-a-half and it’s so lovely that the staff members remember him from when he was a little tot. The observation and weekly activities that you can access on the app, help massively by making sure we are both on the same page with his learning. He has enjoyed every activity at pool nursery and we have had so much fun at home, joining in with the activities. He has come so far in the last 6 months to a point where I feel he is advanced on many levels. Thank you so much for all your support and helping me with the ideas to do at home with him. I chose November as this was a time my son really got to know the story stick man and it gave us so many activities to do at home, every time going to the woods, he would pick up daddy stick man and his children and he would talk about it every day and it was our routine every night to read/watch stick man.

Both my children have attended Flying Start at Camborne College, spanning a six-year period consecutively with my youngest being in preschool and preparing to start primary school in September. The support received over the years has been second to none and even now, they continue to offer a first-class service. This past year has been especially challenging for everyone, yet the team at Flying Start have excelled at keeping my youngest safe and have still provided an excellent service, whilst keeping socially distanced. The staff team are fantastic and always friendly. In the time my children have attended, I have not had any concerns or complaints.

My little girl loves going to nursery, staff are so friendly and they are extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend this nursery to people who are looking. 100%. I get regular updates sent via the app which is very convenient.

Our daughter left Flying Start back in September to start school just as our baby joined. Even though we know the staff and nursery very well we were still given the opportunity to get to know the Day Nursery department. Our 14 month old runs in through the door without looking back. We love seeing his videos and photos on the EY Log and he is utterly thriving under the care of the youngest babies keyworker. Her calm and caring nature has ensured he has settled in really quickly. We are pleased with the management of the nursery and are 100% confident in their COVID-19 protocols. I can be a bit of an anxious mum but the staff are amazing and handle my concerns with professionalism. Flying Start really does offer family orientated care and we feel valued as a family. It has made my return to work after a 14-month maternity leave much easier. Thank you for the care and attention you give to our happy little baby.

My daughter absolutely loves going to nursery. She runs in happily every time. She enjoys all of the activities that they do. They are always doing something educational and fun, and I always get to see pictures of her getting involved in all of the activities. They've handled coping with covid very well, making sure all the children are safe but not compromising on their learning.

Our children have been coming to Flying Start since the beginning of August. We have one child in the baby room and one child in the toddler room. We are very happy with the care that they receive and it makes our day at work a lot easier to know they are being properly looked after. Our oldest gets so excited to go into preschool and he always tells me about the exciting activities that he has taken part in. The staff are very friendly and they update the parent log frequently so that we know what the children have been up to. We have been very happy with the nursery and have recommended it to two of our friends whose children will be starting the nursery within the next month.

My son has been going to this nursery since he was 2 and he has absolutely loved it. He’s grown so much in confidence and has built strong connections with staff during his 2 years of going. The nursery staff are all so lovely and I’ve always known he was safe and well looked after whilst I was working. I’m very sad that he only has a few weeks left until he leaves for school. However, if I’m lucky enough to have any more children I would 100% use flying start nursery again.

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to Flying Start. You have been amazing with our twin girls, so supportive and never tire of our phone calls checking all is well. Things have had to change in recent times but we feel you are keeping our girls safe with all the new measures in place. Absolutely brilliant nursey with kind, caring staff

My son is four and will soon be starting Primary school. I am so happy we elected to send him to Flying Start at Cornwall College as he is now well equipped for school life. The staff and management at this centre are excellent, in my experience, they have been helpful, attentive and nurturing. His key workers have always been enthusiastic and truly committed to my son's personal development and he loves them. The centre itself is beautifully maintained and very secure, leaving me feeling completely at ease knowing my boy is in safe hands. Thank you Flying Start at Cornwall College team for what has been a couple of years of excellent service.

When my eldest went to this nursery I feel he may have gone on more trips. I think this may be something that could be looked at so more trips are organised.

I have done and will continue to recommend this nursery! Both my children attended this nursery and both loved it. They keep up to date with you on everything and all members of staff always make time to talk about any worries you have. The bond they make with your children, and making them feel safe enough to be themselves is amazing! My little boy went to a nursery previous to this and they put him as an under achiever but that wasn't the case at all, he was just extremely shy. Once I took him to Flying Start he came out of his shell and had so much more confidence! Both children think of the staff as their friends which is just brilliant! By far the best nursery I have come across!

My eldest child used to go to Flying Start at Cornwall College, a good few years ago. I was so happy with the setting and our experience, that I wanted my youngest to go to the same nursery and I haven't regretted it. My little one loves nursery, the staff are lovely and caring. I'm very happy with this nursery and would highly recommend them to anyone.
