Flying Start @ Redruth

My son has attended Redruth FS since September 2025, the staff have supported his transition into nursery and now he runs in without a backwards glance. They have always accommodated his needs. I have regular feedback on what he has been doing at nursery, and what he has been learning. The pictures on his observations reflect a range of opportunities that are available to him. I have recommended FS to a friend who has been on a visit also! Thank you team for all your hard work!

Our son has the best time at Flying Start Redruth. He has been going since he was 10 months old and is now in the pre school. All of the staff are really fantastic with him. It's clear that he gets lots of outdoor time and he always comes home with lots of interesting stories about his day! The staff have been so supportive in helping him to try and variety of foods and make friends. We have seen him really grow in confidence and are so thankful to the staff for being part of his journey. We can't recommend Flying Start Redruth enough!

Flying Start have been absolutely amazing with my daughter since she started at just 3 months old. She began by doing half a day a week and now attends full time. The staff have been so caring, supportive, and genuinely interested in her development. It's clear how much she enjoys being there. She looks forward to going in every morning with a big smile! I can see how much she's grown in confidence and independence, and that's all thanks to the wonderful team at Flying Start. I couldn't recommend them more highly.

My Grandaughter has attended Flying Start Redruth for nearly 3 years and we couldnt be happier. The staff are always welcoming and provide great care and a variety of activities. The handovers are always informative and the EY log really useful and detailed,tailoreded to your child. Regular updates of learning observations and progress reports keep us updated and are very welcome. Halle and Pippa are worthy of a special mention for their kind, caring attitude. My daughter has been at Redruth Flying Start since she was 9 months old, she is now 20 months old and still loves going every day she is in. The staff are kind and caring, and my partner and I feel massively safe and content dropping her off that her needs will be met and the care given, is fantastic. We have had nothing but positive experiences since she has been at the nursery and would recommend the nursery to anyone who would listen. My partner struggled at first dropping her off but the staff are not only supportive of our daughter but also of us as parents. We cannot speak highly enough of the nursery and are so glad we found them.

I feel very lucky to have such a fantastic nursery near to my work. Flying Start is the only reason I didn't transfer to work in another area yet, after we moved house away from this area.

We used to have our son go to Flying Start in Redruth before he started school. They were great then, and continued to remember our little boy when we started his sister here last year too. She loves it, and is really thriving, and the staff are always friendly. Flying start will bend over backward to accommodate hours too. The fact they facilitate working usual working hours, (unlike a lot of local preschools) makes all the difference.

My son's key worker really knows him. She is attentive, provides good handovers, recently asked about plans for his school and talked through how the pre school do role play with school uniforms which I think is fab. I am regularly updated on his progress. He clearly really loves his time there. Thank you

We are so happy that we made the decision to send our daughter to Flying Start Redruth. Every single member of staff there is purely brilliant. They make our daughter feel happy and comfortable and she has so much fun. Having to leave her is always hard as a parent, but knowing that she is going to be looked after by these wonderful people makes sending her in a pleasure. She has the best time and has formed lovely bonds with each of the staff. They have helped her with her development, supported us as a family, they are kind and caring and seeing her face light up when she sees her key worker or one of the others is priceless. All of the staff are friendly and approachable and we honestly feel like we hit gold when we found them. From viewing whilst I was pregnant, again when our daughter was first born, to when we sent her in at 10 months, they have been nothing but attentive, kind, helpful, caring and they generally make us feel as though we are part of the family. Thank you Redruth!

I can't recommend flying start at Redruth enough. Both my 4 & 2 year old attend and have the best time. They seem to get lots of outdoor time, have fun themed activities set as well as great crafts and curriculum learning. The staff are all brilliant, always really friendly and supportive. You are always updated promptly about their day and their progress, and contact in general about events/funding/illness is excellent.

Amazing nursery, my daughter has been so happy going here and has made great progress during her time there. My son also went here, and his experience was just as amazing. All the staff are so lovely and caring and always ready to help with any questions/issues you may have.

Flying Start Redruth are amazing with my little one. I love knowing what he's doing and how he's getting on and he absolutely loves being there. The staff are always polite and always seem happy to be there.

The girls at the nursery are great. My son has a great time there and always looks forward to going. He always comes home in a different set of clothes to what he went in as well which is always the sign of a happy well spent day! Nothing is ever too much trouble and they are always on hand to help. Whenever I have made enquiries about being able to book additional days or hours or enquired about potentially making changes they have always got back to me promptly and have done all they can to accommodate!

We love Flying start in Redruth. My son is only in twice a week but they are both long days. Flying Start have always been very accommodating of this. We are always greeted by friendly smiles and a warm welcome no matter how dark, wet and windy the morning is. The staff are great at communicating via the app, which is really useful as it helps us plan his evening meals, and how likely it will be that he'll want to sleep on time that evening. My son is always beaming when I go to pick him up, and wants "more, more, more". I can tell he really enjoys his days there.

Having worked in the care sector, I can honestly say, your Redruth team provide exceptional care and support to our son. From keeping us informed of his development to helping to work with us during the tricky toddler period, your employees are beacons for pro activeness, professional, and compassion. Everyday they meet us with care and commitment to giving our son the very best start in life. We can't thank you enough for what you do. For anyone considering sending their child to a local nursery, Flying Start in Redruth should be the no.1 choice.

Staff from preschool and nursery go above and beyond! My son has learned so much and is very happy to go to school! Would definitely recommend Flying Start to anyone nervous about leaving their child with carers. Thank you to the team for making my son feel so loved and providing me with guidance!

There is always a good range of different activities daily, the stay and play sessions are great to be able to see what they get up to whilst at nursery. Communication is brilliant, they always let me know how he's been at handovers and it's lovely to be able to see photos and videos on the app. Plus the daily diary is so handy to see what he's eaten and when he's slept. We will both really miss all the staff as he's starting school this year.

My son loves going to nursery and I always love seeing all the updates we get of what he has been up to each day. Also, the staff are very helpful if you have a question about something they will always go the extra mile to help and find the answers to your questions.

Our almost three year old son started here just two months ago and we are so happy with how well he has settled in. His key worker is amazing, they have a really great bond. All the staff are really friendly, the outside space is incredible and the activities always look fun and engaging. They do a great job keeping parents in the loop about what children have been learning about and great ideas for things to do at home too. Our son loves looking at his photos and talking to us about his day. He often tells us how much he loves going to preschool! Would highly recommend!
