Bright Horizons Bristol Day Nursery and Preschool provides high-quality care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

This lovely refurbished day nursery is set in rural surroundings in the south of Bristol and has a warm feeling as soon as you walk in. The bright and spacious baby, toddler and preschool rooms are all located on one level with great accessibility to stunning outdoor spaces. The baby room also includes a separate sleep area. All children have access to beautiful garden areas throughout the day, with a door from each room leading into the garden to allow for free-flow play. The outdoor spaces include a Growing Gardeners area for planting and a mud kitchen.

Their unique Healthy Hearts and Minds activities provide inspirational and engaging learning experiences using the innovative and well established Boogie Mites Programme.

An enriching Ready for School programme gives every child the opportunity to gain knowledge and confidence to thrive in school and beyond.

Situated under the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge, the nursery overlooks the beautiful surroundings of the Ashton Court Estate.

We really liked this nursey the very first time we visited. It has a home from home feel about it and there is always a warm welcome here for the children and parents.
Staff are always smiling and happy and my two boys have loved coming here every week since they were 1 years old. Learning is taken
seriously but also fun, so I know my two will have a great day when they come!

My daughter is always very happy to come to nursery and will often ask to come to nursery on days that we do not attend.
This month the nursery has been having a refurbishment and so is not as orderly as usual, and the garden space is looking tired but is also listed on the refurbishment.

Our son has attended this nursery for about 3 months now. His key worker and other members of staff have worked really hard to make sure he is settled, confident, and happy. They do lots of lovely activities, and I enjoy the regular updates. The food seems to have been going down well too! Overall,
a really good nursery that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

My nephew has attended this nursery for the past 6 months and is having a fantastic time. I have collected him from nursery several times and he is always playing happily and interacting with the girls who work there who seem to genuinely care for each child so lovingly and happily each and every time.
The girls in his room will tell me about his day in a really personal, individual way, telling me little anecdotes of funny things he has said or done throughout the day. Thank you!

My niece, nephew, son and daughter have all attended this nursery. I have been extremely impressed with the professional level of care they have provided my family with over the last 11 years. Nothing has been too much trouble, from squeezing my son in at short notice, to making sure my children came
home with every item of clothing and piece of artwork.
My daughter in particular cherished the time each member of staff spent reading books and playing puzzles, she loved the 'forest school' experience.
If my children were sick, a calm, professional but hugely caring side was shown. I wouldn't trust my children with any other nursery.

Very friendly staff, have always welcomed us at Teddies. I had a bad experience with another nursery and it was a world of difference when I started my daughter here. Always felt very comfortable at work knowing she was being incredibly well looked after and playing creatively. They also got her to
nap properly and spent time trying to soothe her into a routine. The ladies are so good at what they do - they all deserve medals!

The staff at this nursery make the place a safe and happy place for the children. The staff always seem to be interacting happily with the children and provide lots of activities in the daytime. Staff seem like they genuinely care and enjoy playing with the kids. The inside and outside areas are a bit

This is a truly excellent nursery. All of the staff are wonderful - friendly, engaging and really care about the children. I feel completely confident leaving my little girl here and have since day one. To top it off, they have a lovely setting and plenty of outdoor space, which they make full use of.

I have a child who has recently settled in the pre-school room.
The staff really helped my child settle well.
They asked lots of questions to get to know my child.
My child talks about pre-school a lot at home and every time I drop off, the staff are welcoming and the room is always set up lovely
to play.
Really good nursery.

My child started in January after looking at several local nurseries. This was the only nursery where the staff were warm and welcoming to me and my husband. The children were all happy and busy with lots of fabulous activities which is exactly what I want for my daughter. The deputy showed me the nursery
and was so knowledgeable and the manager called me before and afterwards to see how I felt and how it went! Brilliant.

The location of Teddies is perfect for us. We have used Teddies for both our children over the last 3.5years. The staff, management and facilities have always been of excellent quality.
Teddies have always accommodated any extra days needed or changes to scheduled days.
We will continue to use Teddies
for another 1.5years until both children are at school permanently.

I know from the second I drop my son off, he is happy and well looked after.

Since sending our son to Teddies Bristol in October we have been nothing but impressed. The staff are friendly, helpful and kind. Our son has learnt so much in such a short space of time.


From when we drop him off at nursery to when we pick him up, he is happy and learning all the time.

My child is with Teddies for more that half a year so far. He is very happy to go to Teddies all the time. The staff always take really good care of him. The staff and parent communications are really good and I always feel that they make a lot of effort to understand individual children and get to
know the children really well.
I also appreciate the spacious garden they have for the children to run around and explore.

Helen

Job Title: Nursery Manager

Helen has over 24 years of experience in childcare, having qualified with an NNEB in Childcare and Education. She has had a long career with Bright Horizons, joining in 2000 as a Nursery Practitioner and becoming Nursery Manager in 2009. She is passionate about creating an environment where children can experience awe and wonder, fostering a love of learning and preparing them for lifelong education.


Working closely with her team, she motivates them to go above and beyond in their roles, ensuring the best possible start in the early education journey for every child. Additionally, she is a mother of two teenage boys who also graduated from Bright Horizons many years ago.

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Danielle started working for Bright Horizons in 2013 while studying for her Childcare and Education Level 3 qualification. Initially working one day a week, until she transitioned, upon completing her qualifications, to a full-time nursery nurse in the toddler room.


Having gained confidence and skills in her role, she successfully applied for senior roles leading to being appointed as the Toddler Room Leader.


Embracing Bright Horizons' culture and the Early Years practices, she is always seeking to improve and provide the children in her care with the best start to their education and love of learning.
