MRN believes in the 'shared care' of children whereby parents work in partnership and contribute to the shared information between home and nursery.

Parent's involvement is critical to their child's care and early learning, so staff are always on hand to discuss concerns, suggestions or queries.

The team are fully committed to regular communication between parent and the child's key worker; in addition parents have full access to their child's personal file as well as a daily report sheet.

My daughter attended the nursery for 4 years. She started there at 8 months old until she left to start resection.
The staff are all brilliant, nothing is too much trouble. My daughter loved going and they teach the children about everything to do with school life and life in general, as well as,
when they are in their final years they teach them about school and them getting them ready for school.
The food given to the children is really good, my daughter never went without. If there is something that the child does not like, they will do the child something else.
But when it comes to the graduation for the children, it's absolutely fantastic.
I will highly recommend.
It was a pleasure knowing them all.

Our son has been going to Magic Roundabout Nursery since he was about ten months old and is about to 'graduate' as a pre-schooler. Throughout the years, we have been always impressed with the great care shown by all of the staff at Magic Roundabout Nursery. Every member of staff seems to genuinely care
and have a great bond with the children.
We love all the various activities offered; the daily outdoor time, including gardening activities, and the generous opening hours were really helpful and more in line with real-life demands than other nurseries.
Our son absolutely loves Magic Roundabout Nursery - and developed strong relationships with his various key workers throughout the years. We cannot recommend Magic Roundabout Nursery and thank the staff there enough for being such outstanding caretakers - always caring, helpful and flexible, which we felt was important to us.

Our son has been at Magic Roundabout for three and a half years and has had a wonderful experience there. We will also be sending our daughter, and are looking forward to watching her develop with them. The staff are friendly, loving and nurture the children. The facilities are good and they provide
age-appropriate activities and good outdoor space. The food is yum, snacks are provided and I would definitely recommend Magi Roundabout Nursery to others. Very conveniently located for anyone living in the area.

Love our nursery, the staff are so warm and kind and really know the children. The management are incredibly helpful and understanding and clearly care so much about the job. The outdoor space is lovely and over the past few years has been decorated with more and more plants, pots and flowers. They
go to so much effort doing special days and smoothie/treat tables outside on Father’s Day etc. A lovely nursery, we couldn’t wish for a better one.

Wonderful, friendly staff. My daughter is so happy here which makes dropping off in the morning a delight. The app photographically records their progress. Magic Roundabout Nursery are also incredibly flexible when needed. We would highly recommend.

I would like to complain about the last moment closing the nursery Magic Roundabout Nursery Bristol today 18/7/22.
I am a dentist. I had to cancel my patients last moment, people with pain waiting for their appointment with patience.
The fact that you sent an email Saturday evening that you are closing
the nursery because of the heat is totally inconsiderate for the hard-working parents who are paying for the nursery.
Not all nurseries are shut, maybe you are the only one who took that decision.
In addition, you are open on Tuesday but you are closed on Monday does not make sense.
To put me in the awful position I have to deal with patients complaining because you decided to shut the nursery for the heat.
I am 100% disappointed.

I can see that my daughter is happy to go to Magic Roundabout and it is a pleasure seeing her "pretending to be a teacher" and showing me what she has learned. She is making friends and the relationship with all the teachers is really good. They are all friendly and very supportive. I am sure my daughter
is in a safe, caring and stimulating environment and this is what matters to me.

Great nursery! Both of my kids attended Magic Roundabout Nursery and absolutely loved it. We’ve been with them for over 3 years, starting in the baby room and finishing at preschool. International, highly qualified team provided safe, nurturing and enabling environment for my children. All staff members
including management are very approachable and always happy to help. Couldn’t have asked for a better nursery. We’ll miss all of you.

The staff at Magic Roundabout Nursery are incredible. Caring, compassionate and great at communication. They have gone above and beyond when we have asked for detailed reports in relation to our child’s illnesses. They always have a smile or a friendly chat for you on drop-off and pick-up. Cannot recommend
them highly enough!

My experience has been amazing. My son started when he was 1 year old and he is now 2 years old. He is always happy to go to the nursery. The staff are very kind and friendly. I feel confident and calm leaving him there.

Our daughter joined Magic Roundabout during the first lockdown as it was recommended by friends. Although we’d visited a few months earlier, it was still a leap of faith handing her over when we couldn’t stay for settling in sessions, as would normally happen. However, she settled quickly and continues
to love her time there after 2 years. The staff are welcoming and warm - and for my cuddle-hungry daughter, it’s great that they are affectionate and loving too.


She’s learnt so much, especially social skills like being kind and sharing. The ethos feels very child-centred and they spend lots of time in the garden, get messy and creative (don’t send them in wearing their best clothes!). Don’t be put off by some parts looking a little tired as it's an old building, the rooms are lovely and there are constant improvements. Most importantly, the staff are amazing and the app is very helpful to see what my daughter has been doing and her progress. Also good home-made healthy food.

Our 1-year-old has been in the daisies group for three months now, and while it was a hard transition (isn't it for every baby?), Magic Roundabout has been absolutely amazing in providing a welcoming environment. The staff is warm, clued in, and very accommodating. For example, they happily adopted
our reusable nappies, and have been very accepting of our baby's habit of sleeping on top of people rather than in a bed during the settling-in period. The nursery is equipped with wooden toys, books, water and messy play equipment, and a large outside area with various stations. Contact with parents happens at the end of the day, and via an app through which the staff provide info on nappies, meals and snacks, and activities (with photos). Overall, we would strongly recommend it!

My son has been at Magic Roundabout for 14 months now, and I have to say, is thriving. His language skills have come on so well and his creativity and exploration. We are very hands-on, pro learning, pro fun parents, which is why it is great to see this replicated in the nursery. The staff are friendly
and some have built a very close bond with my little one, so he knows he has people around him all day that will help him, play with him and also keep him in check!
Love having the app to look at activities from the day as well as how much he has eaten, slept and been changed. It's even better when there are the occasional picture uploaded of my son during the day.

We are very happy with the care and education at Magic Roundabout, Bristol. Our little boy shows excitement each morning when we pull up in the car park. Working within the early years sector, I appreciate the personal care, welcoming of parents and that no ask is too big. All staff are friendly and
helpful also willing to give advice (first time mum). The parent app is a great resource, we always look forward to our photo updates.

We currently have one child in the nursery but our oldest one also attended. We love Magic Roundabout Nursery! They are all so friendly and warm and the atmosphere is so lovely. Both of our children have been so happy here and we feel really happy knowing they are there.
The activities they do are
full of fun and engaging. You get good feedback on what they do. The food is really good and there’s always a good variety.
The best thing though is the staff. They are just so kind and lovely. Highly recommend!

We have had our son, now 10 months old, at the nursery for 2 months and so far we have been really impressed. The staff are lovely and our son loves them. We love the app they use to give us updates. The management are also really friendly and very happy to help with all questions. Had some issues with
missing clothes but we haven't labelled them yet, so understandable. We had one incident where our son hit his head at nursery and they forgot to tell us at pick up. We did get an email later the same day. We have had no injuries or anything since. The security at the nursery is good and our son looks like he is enjoying himself.

We have been very impressed with the learning and activities set out by the staff. They talk to parents to understand the child's needs and adapt activities accordingly. All staff are friendly and attentive. We've been impressed with Covid measures put into place to make sure the nursery is safe for
everyone, even though we can't enter the nursery, we still have an understanding of the room and the staff due to excellent communication.

Anna Secanska

Job Title: Manager Joined: 2006

Anna joined MRN in 2006. Anna holds a BA in Education Studies and since working with children her passion has been to create a relaxing and happy environment where children feel secure and happy. Have close relationships with the practitioners, children and the local community. Anna pedagogy is inspired by Reggio Emilia approach and this is reflected in the nursery environment which is set up in a way that sparks children’s curiosity, passion for learning and overall happy memories.
