Blossom Tree, located near Portishead’s vibrant marina, is a nursery school full of wonder and learning.

Inside the nursery, rooms are tailored to meet the needs of children aged from 4 months to 5 years. The large rooms use natural resources to create an inviting home-from-home environment. Outside, children benefit from a purpose-built wooden structure for toddlers as well as an allotment, all ensuring that they can connect with nature through a variety of outdoor experiences.

Following the Early Years Foundation Stage framework as well as the Storal approach to curriculum, the team work hard to ensure every child is given the opportunity to learn, explore and develop at a pace that suits them.

Meals are freshly prepared by the onsite chef using locally sourced food. Older children also participate in meal preparation and enjoy assisting in the kitchen. Mealtimes are an opportunity for children to refuel, be sociable and learn about nutrition.

My son really enjoys nursery and that is really important to me and my wife. The staff take great care of him and take the time to work out how best to support him when he has struggled throughout the day. Very please with my son's development at blossom tree nursery. He loves it here. Staff are friendly, accommodating and communicate well.
Great facilities, good food and a fun syllabus.
The app updates are great. Seeing how his day has gone. What he's eaten plus any other essential information.

Blossom Tree is a huge part of our daughter's world! She is so settled and happy there and has formed wonderful relationships with staff and children. This is undoubtedly due to the supportive, stimulating and fun ethos fostered by all the staff. Our daughter has a real sense of being part of the nursery
community and is very proud of this. The team seem to strive for high standards in their curriculum and challenge the children appropriately - I've been particularly impressed by this as our daughter gets closer to school transition. In addition, the care of the children, engagement in their interests and wellbeing are impressive. Conversations with staff and regular progress reports indicate how well the team know the children as individuals. We have been impressed with how the nursery is managed and communication has improved vastly over the last year or so. We also love the use of the app! It's great to be invited to events such as Open Days and Mother's Day afternoon tea.

Our son started nursery at Blossom Tree Nursery at the beginning of 2025 and we are very happy with our experience. The staff in the baby room are all friendly and welcoming and our son is always excited when he sees them. We love the app that shows what he's been up to in the day and the communication
is great. We would definitely recommend this nursery to families in Portishead.

I started my 5 month old at Blossom Tree nursery last month. It is a very anxious and stressful time when you start leaving your baby but everyone at Blossom tree has been amazing with this transition. Tom is very welcoming and has been incredibly helpful and always quick to respond. The ladies in the
baby room are great with him and that's evident with all the smiley photos I get and how happy he is when I collect. I feel totally reassured leaving my baby at blossom tree. Thank you to all the team for making this process as easy as possible.

Highly recommend Blossom Tree.
Our youngest has been there for almost 2 years now & our elder son also attended. The staff are lovely, great activities available and both boys have really grown there. Very reasonable price too compared to other nurseries nearby.

We couldn't wish for a better setting for our daughter. We looked at lots of nurseries in the local area but we settled on Blossom Tree as it was the best resourced and had the best vibe. We haven't regretted our decision since. Our daughter absolutely loves nursery and the staff. Everyone is warm and
welcoming and really cares about the children. The activities and rooms are engaging and the staff really go the extra mile to support and communicate with the parents. Since she's been at Blossom Tree, it seems to be just getting better and better and we look forward to many more happy years there in the future.

Our son has been attending Blossom Tree nursery for over a year now, and we couldn't be happier with the care he receives! The photos that are shared with us always show him either smiling broadly or concentrating intensely on the game or lesson that he is taking part in. He has gone from being shy
and nervous at drop offs to being eager and excited to play when he arrives. He is currently moving up to the newly revamped toddler room, and we have been very happy with the way that process is being handled.


One staff member in particular in the office, and another in the baby room, have been outstanding, and are always friendly and helpful.

When you choose a nursery without seeing it, it’s a huge leap of faith, but this is what had to happen with our 6-month-old during Covid. This year, our child turns four, is still there, and most importantly, is happy.
Our main bugbear has probably been in staff movement, but this happens in this industry
and is probably good for children, and with some of the key new staff bringing fresh ideas and activities, and the room leads being really lovely, we have been really happy, especially in seeing the introduction of an allotment club, stick insects and that the children get to go out and about more. The management is really helpful and understanding of any concerns we might have, and work with us where necessary.
My son dreams about the nursery and wants to help his grandad in Spain to make an allotment, so although he is only part-time, it’s clearly leaving a positive impression, which is the best we could have hoped for.

My daughter has been at Blossom Tree since autumn 2023, and our experience with the nursery has been great from the get-go. They were quick to respond and help us out with our childcare needs and very accommodating with settling in, which made both me and my daughter feel really at ease. The team are
all lovely, and my daughter has built up a great bond with them. The setting is well adapted for each group, and all ages have easy access to outdoor space, which they use all the time. They offer a great range of food, often head out for walks and activities in the local area and always keep us up to date. I'd recommend this nursery to anyone.

My child has been attending 2 days a week since he was 10 months old. He settled in quickly and really enjoyed his days at Blossom Tree. The staff arrange a wide range of activities which focus on developing key skills appropriate to his age. He particularly enjoys the opportunities for messy play and

I cannot rate Blossom Tree Nursery School highly enough. They care so much for my daughter and have a curriculum that really supports our own beliefs in reading and outdoor play. Updates are provided daily and any concerns are promptly brought to my attention. We often have to play “nursery” at home,
role-playing as the staff, I believe that clearly shows my daughter is receiving the attention and affection she needs at her age!

We absolutely love Blossom Tree Nursery School in Portishead! The staff are so lovely and our 3-year-old son has thrived with them over the past two years. My child has been going to Blossom Tree 3 days a week since September and absolutely loves it.
The staff are so friendly and attentive to his needs and have been fantastic in helping him with getting used to the transition from Busy Bees to preschool he will have in November without any drama.
Since
going to Blossom Tree, he has started to eat a lot more new foods and is trying new things when it comes to food, which we were struggling with at home and that's been amazing to watch, he even asks me for foods he never would have before in the past thanks to him eating them while at nursery.
I am so glad I chose Blossom Tree for him.

Since my son joined Blossom Tree Nursery, at first he was quite inside himself and kept himself to himself, sort of staying in his shell. However, for some months now he has leapt on so far away from what he was like and it's unbelievably fantastic. I love how he has shown his confidence and strengths
in all sorts of good educational ways. He can now 'nearly' write his name. I'm extremely proud of him and really pleased with how Blossom Tree has got him to this amazing point.

Blossom Tree is a lovely nursery with lovely staff who all love the children. My son has been going for the last couple of months and he really enjoys it. The staff work with me and my parenting which is good. It’s always hard when parents have to go back to work, so trusting the childcare you send
your children to, is paramount and I have just that. Highly recommend.

My child has been at Blossom Tree for about 2.5 years. The staff there have been excellent and my child really likes them.
They do a lot of creative activities and especially seasonal activities. They also have a weekly session with a kid's sports provider. There is a good variety of food on offer
throughout the day and my child is always telling me they prefer the food at nursery to home.
The nursery is good at communicating what is going on and always helpful with my queries.
All the children seem happy and entertained when I pick up or drop off.
I would recommend Blossom Tree to anybody.
