  • a) The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 12 Reviews over all time. This Average Rating is also the rating value for Bright Horizons Bury St Edmunds Day Nursery and Preschool in Google's Search Results - more info

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.5 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 12 months.

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating of all Reviews over all time. For each review the Day Nursery / service is rated Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, Poor or Very Poor on a number of areas eg Staff, Management etc. The Day Nursery receives points for each rating as follows: Excellent = 5. Good = 4. Satisfactory = 3. Poor = 2. Very Poor = 1. These points are added up and then divided by the total number of completed ratings to generate the average rating.

    The Average Rating of 4.806 for Bright Horizons Bury St Edmunds Day Nursery and Preschool is calculated as follows: ( (118 Excellents x 5) + (24 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 144 Ratings = 4.806

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 12 months. If the target is partially reached then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery with 50 registered maximum number of service users has a target of 10 Positive Reviews, if it has 10 or more Positive Reviews it will receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews will receive 0.7 points.

    3. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. The calculation is the same as above, except the points are divided by 2.

The 4.464 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Bright Horizons Bury St Edmunds Day Nursery and Preschool is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 12 months and is calculated as follows:

    1. 3 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.25 = 4

    2. Target of 19.4 positive Reviews (97 registered maximum number of service users ÷ 5). 9 Reviews ÷ 19.4 Target = 0.464

I cannot rate this nursery highly enough. From the day my son started (at 9 months old) the compassion to my needs as a mummy and his needs as an inquisitive and active little boy have been met and exceeded daily.

The meals provided are never boring and always encouraged independence by self-serving and helping to clear up which my little bot insists on doing daily at home too.

Their learning journals are amazing to read and all the girls at Bright Horizons Bury St Edmunds Day Nursery and Preschool are our hero!

My daughter loves coming to nursery. She has built up brilliant relationships with all the ladies she has worked with from the baby room to the 2-3-year-old room. The communication has always been good and if I have ever had any concerns then they have been dealt with quickly. I feel confident leaving my daughter in the care of Bury St Edmunds Day Nursery and have loved watching how she has developed and what she has learnt. Thank you, Bury St Edmunds Day Nursery.

My son loves coming to nursery, his confidence has increased so much and is always greeted with a warm welcoming from the nursery girls.
I am given detailed feedback about what fun things he has been doing, which is reassuring and comforting, especially when I know he can be a bit of a monkey.
The management team are helpful and friendly and will greet us in the mornings. My son has a big soft spot for the deputy manager and I always find him having a cheeky cuddle.
Overall, I couldn't fault my son's care, he is very well looked after and extremely happy.

My little boy has been coming to Tassel Road for just over a year and has always loved it.
The outdoor space for all rooms, which is important because he loves being outdoors.
He is looking forward to going into the next room and has already experienced the bigger garden, which he enjoyed very much.
The staff are always very helpful and easy to talk to if I need advice or have any worries.
I would definitely recommend this nursery.

My son started nursery at 13 months old. He is now 3 years and 5 months since beginning at this nursery. He has excelled greatly on so many levels with the help of his key workers and nursery staff who are all very friendly, reassuring, caring and above all listen. I was recommended this nursery from a family member and would certainly recommend it to anyone.

My 4-year-old daughter had her last day at the nursery after 3 and a half years there. She was 10 months when she started there and transitioned through all 4 rooms and now goes to start her school journey.

At every room, our daughter had a qualified care giver who gave her 1 to 1 care. At every room, she received performance checks every 3 months with a detailed written review of her performance in key development areas and a plan to further those development objectives.

I can not recommend Tassel Road enough. As a parent, it's difficult not to be with your child 24/7 but the staff at Tassel Road made that so much easier but giving her a loving and educational environment where she made some wonderful friends. Thank you to the staff at Tassel Road for all they have done. They truly made our daughters' pre-school years special.

All of the staff at Tassel Road know my little boy by name, as well as being familiar with routines, habits and developmental requirements. Since being here he has come on so much, especially in terms of his speech, motor skills and eating. This is a highly stimulating environment for young children, and the facilities they have are first class. I have been delighted by the access to outdoor areas that they have. I can't speak highly enough about the staff, I have every confidence in them and know my son loves his days here.

Your kind thoughts and comments are really appreciated – thank you!

I have two sons. My eldest started in the baby end and stayed right through to starting school. Tassel Road helped him prepare for big school so we had no first day nerves! My youngest has been at Tassel Road since he was 6 months and is now 2. I have never had a problem dropping off or collecting him, he never wants to leave! The staff are so warm and friendly and ensure their routines are kept as much the same as home. Their activities are great and plenty of outdoor space. The chef is fabulous too! My son's eat everything she makes. Overall a wonderful nursery. I would always recommend to others.
