Overall Experience

Bright Horizons Bury St Edmunds is a fantastic nursery. Over the 3 years that our children have attended, I have been exceptionally happy with our experience all round and both have thrived in the setting. The safety of the children is taken very seriously at the nursery. The building itself is very secure and staff follow procedures effectively. All staff members are such lovely and warm people. They make a massive effort to get to know your children and you as parents. The communication has been consistently great. They offer an app, in which you can check in on your child during the day to see what they’ve eaten when they’ve slept etc. Very importantly, their support for our autistic son has been amazing. Not only have they gone above and beyond for him whilst in their care, they have supported me on our journey, have been on hand to advise me, and have gone on specialist courses, to help support our son further. I will forever be grateful to Bright Horizons Bury St Edmunds and it will be a sad day when our youngest leaves for school!

The experience at Bright Horizons has always been a positive one for our girls at Bright Horizons, Bury St Edmunds. We’ve had such a brilliant experience with them both. One of the key selling points for us when selecting a nursery for our girls was the amazing outdoor space. It really is a massive asset and both our girls love being outside. The experience for them both has been second to none. The staff are always so friendly, caring and supportive. They are always coming up with really creative activities to support and enhance the children’s learning - which continues to amaze us. Our girls always look forward to each nursery day and seeing their little friends - so never a challenge getting them out of bed! When we’ve needed extra support with things like toilet training, the management and key workers have been amazing and have worked with us to develop a plan to support the children. The experience at Bright Horizons has always been a positive one. 5 stars from us!

My little man started here at 10 months OLD and what I especially loved about this nursery was how understanding the staff are from the initial meeting, with how big of a step it feels leaving them in a stranger's care. I have never felt a nuisance for the odd check-up on him and they got to know my son and his loves, wants, needs, personality and habits extremely quickly. I pick him up and I just know how much he has loved his day here. The staff are brilliant. The food is excellent (especially with my son having a milk allergy) and I'm so pleased we chose this nursery. Due to the pandemic, it's been difficult to try and learn staff names etc, so I'd love there to be a teams info page somewhere! Also, we really love the app they use so you can get updates about your child, making you feel you're involved in the daily activities etc. Thank you again, Bright Horizons.

My daughter has attended Bright Horizons for three years and she has absolutely flourished under the expert care and support of the team there. During the first Covid lockdown, my daughter's speech started to regress and the nursery stepped in with an individual education plan and lots of 1-2-1 support. I'm very happy to be able to say that my daughter's speech is now where it should be and she's a very happy, confident, and social butterfly. My son is due to start in the baby room in a couple of months and I know he will be really happy and very well looked after.

We have been using the nursery for three years for our son and he has been very happy there. He’s grown in confidence and made friends, as well as developing lots of new skills and knowledge. The staff are always caring and helpful. We have been impressed by how they have all dealt with a very testing time during the pandemic. Our younger son is due to start this summer and that’s testament to our experience.

My son attended the nursery for three years and he had a wonderful experience. He made many friends and the staff helped him no end in his personal development. Even now after leaving nursery five weeks ago he still talks about it with affection.

I would thoroughly recommend both the staff and the nursery.

Although we have been unable to go inside the nursery due to Covid I have felt very comfortable in dropping my son off to nursery each day in the knowledge that the staff are so kind and welcoming and I feel happy that my son is in safe hands. Really good communication from all staff members.

I cannot recommend Bright Horizons Bury St Edmunds Day Nursery and Preschool enough to any parents we meet. The entire team have just been an absolute god send since day one, even on the days I’ve had to leave my daughter crying, I have felt confident that she was cared for and she is always full of beans when I collect her. The staff update me about her day, in great detail. My daughters key workers in each and every stage of her time at Bright Horizons Bury St Edmunds Day Nursery and Preschool have always excelled and she’s just learnt so much more than I could’ve managed at home, alone. I’ve always believed the first five years are so tremendously important for any child’s development so picking the best nursery and preschool was absolutely paramount for me. Bright Horizons Bury St Edmunds Day Nursery and Preschool have just continued to prove time after time that I made the best decision with placing my daughter in such a wonderful and nourishing environment. Thank you to the manger and the entire Bright Horizons Bury St Edmunds Day Nursery and Preschool team.

My son has been at Bright Horizons for just under a year and he has loved every day there. All the staff are kind, hard-working and they always have smiles on their faces. We loved the nursery so much our youngest daughter has now joined. She also loves being there. Top staff and brilliant management.

My grandson started this nursery just over a year ago, my daughter sent him here as they are supposed to have a good report for children with special needs, how wrong we were and have removed him from this school. They attended the meeting, promised to follow recommended advice given for my grandson then did nothing and leaving him in wet clothes twice in the last month, which is not fair and will advise anyone with a special needs child not to go there. I'm disgusted with them and you are not good enough to help my grandson who is better off out of there.

From our very first visit to the nursery, we had a good feeling our daughter would love it here. The site is really secure, giving us the peace of mind and the staff have always been fantastic with us and her. Our daughter made friends and took a shine to several of her key workers. We would highly recommend the nursery, it's a great place for developing social skills and preschool learning.

Our daughter has now been attending Tassel Road Nursery for four years. This period has seen her grow relationships with both staff and other children, helping her social skills vastly. The attention to detail in both her care and initial education has led to our full confidence in the nursery and we are happy in the knowledge that she will be progressing to school with the best foundations possible.
