Bright Horizons Great Cornard Day Nursery and Preschool

My child is always happy and excited to be going to nursery in the morning. The nursery staff are very friendly and supportive and have built a lovely bond with my child. I'm always pleased to see the activities he's been up to, there's often lots of variation between play, education and creativity. Altogether I've had a really positive experience with the nursery and will happily sing its praises to anyone looking for daycare for their child.

My daughter has been going to Bright Horizons Great Cornard for just over two years. The nursery is fantastic, the staff are friendly and really care about the children they look after. They have educational toys in every room as well as an outside play area for every room too. The app they use is great, you can view what your child has had to eat that day and how much, pictures from the day and observations. Both on the app and in person you get so much detail from the staff of what your child has been up to. It’s been so lovely watching my daughter develop and enjoy spending time with the other children and the staff. The staff work with the children so much to help get them ready for primary school and are happy to talk about the areas that your child excels in as well as the ones they need more help with. Highly recommend.

My daughter attends this setting and she asks me every night if she is going to nursery tomorrow. She is able to express her thoughts and ideas at nursery and the practitioners enhance these by creating activities based around her interests. The nursery has a fantastic sensory room for children to relax and explore and high-quality chefs on-site that create healthy, wholesome meals for the children. My daughter tells me she only likes nursery crumble. Everyone is very welcoming and the managers made the signing-up process easy. Thank you Bright Horizons Great Cornard Day Nursery and Preschool.

My son is obviously extremely happy at Bright Horizons Great Cornard Day Nursery and Preschool and we are too. The staff are always so helpful and friendly. The updates and photos on the app are great. We are very confident that my son is very well looked after at nursery.

I cannot praise the staff enough, the time and effort they put into providing a fun, educational environment that caters to all children is outstanding. Not to mention all the staff are friendly, polite and engaging.

The alternative options make our daughter feel included and not left out. There is a lovely atmosphere and multiple times of engaging with the local community such as visits from police and fire services and having fairs such as a Christmas fairs. Always amazing things to engage in activity and resource-wise with opportunities to take things home for consistency.

We've had some historical issues with the nursery that were ultimately caused by matters they didn't have much control over (staffing during the pandemic, broken heating, and a roof leak). These issues did mean that my spouse and I needed to take time off work at short notice on a few occasions. However, these issues have been rectified, we haven't had anything like them occur again recently, and the communication from the nursery has always been great. Highly recommend.

Fantastic nursery. Really supportive and caring. Pleasure to send my little one there. They always go above and beyond to support and help in anyway they can. The rooms are full of educational equipment and toys.

The staff at the nursery are fantastic and have plenty of time to explain what has happened through the day. My child comes out happy and proud to share what she has learnt through the day.

Absolutely brilliant, flawless experience with this wonderful nursery. The staff are so, so lovely and are so well educated, on how to ensure they are all able to provide the unique details to my child's nursery experience in order to fulfil the developmental needs she has, whilst supporting her as she is growing as her own individual self and also as she is learning specific skills she will need when she moves on to primary school. The level of support and encouragement she receives, alongside receiving all of the developmental observations and updates, fills me with complete confidence that she will be able to transition smoothly into primary school, when the time comes. This also reassures me of any developmental acceleration/deceleration, so we can address together as a parent/setting team. Furthermore my daughters key worker has been brilliant from day one, in keeping me posted of anything my daughter gets up to in her day. She has been the friendly face, welcoming her in.

Excellent staff with a very professional attitude. My child is always eager to go into nursery. Top-notch facilities and the new app works very well to help parents keep me informed. A big thank you to all the staff who work tirelessly to keep our kids happy and safe.

Couldn’t have chosen a better nursery for our son and won’t hesitate in sending our youngest son there also.

Our daughter absolutely loves going to Bright Horizons. Very flexible with times and dates, good communication and very good with her allergies and routine. Couldn't recommend it enough.

He loves doing yoga and playing outside.

We have been really pleased with both our kids attending Bright Horizons Great Cornard Day Nursery and Preschool. All the staff we have met have been really friendly, professional and helped our children settle in quickly. The communication from the nursery is excellent, I like the regular emails to keep us up to date and I love the daily communication books the staff use. It's lovely to also receive artwork from my older son's room. My older son went to a different nursery before and we never got things sent home or a communication book, so this is a real plus. I like the educational focus the boys get from nursery and the fact they can socialise with others their age. The activities they've completed have sounded good. The opening times are great and work for us a family. I enjoyed being able to see the nursery firstly on a video and then during an open day. My only areas for improvement would be what the nursery looks like from the outside and perhaps improving the range of outdoor equipment and toys.

My two year old has been attending Bright Horizons Great Cornard Day Nursery and Preschool since she was eight months old and absolutely loves it. She enjoys mark making as well as role play activities and the nursery helps her develop these. She looks forward to the days she is in nursery, the staff are fantastic and always make both of us feel so welcome. I couldn’t recommend this nursery more.

My daughter was very anxious about going back to nursery but all of the staff dealt with both our worries and anxieties very well and now she loves nursery. The nursery also provides a weekly activity booklet full of little tasks and fun things to do as well as fun little tasks they can do at home based upon what they have been learning about during the week. The nursery staff are always welcoming and happy to help with any concerns. I would and do often recommend this nursery.

Our kids are very happy at the nursery and as parents we feel safe leaving them under the nursery care.

My daughter really loves going to the nursery. She has only been there for a few months and she has come on so so well. With her speech numbers etc. And her eating and trying new foods has definitely improved because of the staff. The staff are very friendly and polite. The best thing is that my daughter loves going to nursery and that’s all that matters.
